Need to unlock a device? Here's some information to get you started.
The magic of cell phones is that they are our companion wherever we go. They connect us to friends and family, work, entertainment, and everything in between. Cell phones have also been a convenient place for us to store our treasures like pictures and music. Changing phones can be a headache, which is why unlocking our devices is so important if we are traveling to other countries or changing wireless providers. Let's take a look at the requirements and processes for unlocking your phone. Eligibility requirements To network unlock your device, you must first meet certain eligibility requirements. Some of the requirements are different based on your account type, but some things don't change. El dispositivo debe ser vendido por T-Mobile. It mustn't be reported as lost, stolen, or broken. The account associated to the device must be in good standing. T-Mobile may need proof of purchase or some additional information, but most of the time the unlock process is seamless and easy. If you are on a postpaid account, the unlock requirements are pretty straightforward. Make sure the device is paid off and it was used on your account for a minimum of 40 days. How easy is that?! :D If you have a prepaid plan, your device will be eligible for unlock 365 days after the day it was initially activated on the account. One year can be a very long time to wait, but don't fret - there's another option available. Prepaid accounts that activated the device at least 14 days ago and placed $100 in refills per line are also eligible for unlock. Each line can only have two unlocks per year, though, so keep that in mind if you are trying to unlock a third device on the same phone number. Process to unlock So how does the unlock happen? As soon as your device is eligible, you will receive a text message notification letting you know that you can go through the unlock process. It only takes a couple of minutes as long as you are connected to the T-Mobile data network or reliable Wi-Fi. Android devices are diverse, so the exact steps vary. Basically, you can go into settings and then to Network, Connections, or About Phone. You want to find the option for Network Unlock or Device Unlock. Finally, select Permanent Unlock and let it load. It may restart itself, but if it doesn't, you'll want to restart the phone and then you are ready to roll. If you use iPhone, you just insert the new SIM card and restart the phone. You can also follow the normal steps to activate the eSIM with the other service provider like normal. Easy peasy! To sum it up I love that we have reduced the effort that it takes to unlock devices by sending notifications proactively when the eligibility requirements are met and empowered device owners with the ability to complete the steps easily right from the phone. It saves so much time because there is no need to contact customer support or wait for a ticket to be filed to gain approval. I hope this helps answer any questions about our unlock process. You can find more information about our unlocking devices on our Support page. I would love to hear any thoughts or other questions that y'all have about unlocking devices.HeavenMHace 2 añosAdministrador de la comunidad49KViews5likes106ComentariosAndroid 12 Oxygen 12 updated for OnePlus 9 Pro has MAJOR BUGS & ISSUES!!!!!!
I recently received a new update for android 12 & oxygen 12 for my oneplus 9 pro. Now I have a list of bugs and issues happening. I have read a lot of the same complaints here on the forum and other sites from oneplus 9 pro/ t mobile users experiencing the same thing. Just to list a few…… screen brightness changes for no reason, operational and navigational lag, refresh rate (120) slows down periodically, finger print reader and face unlock will randomly stop working. What is the game plan for t mobile to send out fixes to an update I didn't need? This is ridiculous.
Fácil, ¿no? HeavenMHace 2 añosAdministrador de la comunidad3.6KViews1like31ComentariosUnable to unlock Iphone 13 purchased from BB, contacted TMobile 4 Times!

I bought Iphone 14 pro in September and I moved to Indonesia. So I fully paid for my phone before I came here and when I was paying for the device, t mobile expert said that it has been fully unlocked. On my setting, it still says SIM Locked and it is not working here. I called T mobile more than 10 times, they say that it's been fully unlocked but my phone says it is still locked! I even tried to scan a new esim on the phone it says I need to contact the original carrier to unlock the phone. Every time I called all they say is the device is fully unlocked. I was even connected to Apple experts but they could not help me with anything. Apple suggested me to reset the phone, which I have tried. Now I don't know what to do. It's been more than two weeks and I'm not able to use this phone that I've paid $1000 for. Please help!!!Solvedjstyle0000Hace 2 añosNewbie Caller10KViews1like28ComentariosThe T-Mobile unlock lie
Here is my story as of 8/15/23: I'm a T-Mobile prepaid customer for several years and was happy with the company so far. I lost my phone on 7/15/23 (ouch) and bought a new Motorola razr+ from T-Mobile on 7/16/23 for $999. Since I knew that I will be abroad for several months, it was important to me that I can also use the phone with a non T-Mobile operator. Thus at the shop the salesperson and me carefully read T-Mobile's "Unlock your mobile device" page (https://www.t-mobile.com/responsibility/consumer-info/policies/sim-unlock-policy). It says: If the devicewas activated less than 365 days ago, then thePrepaid account associated with the device must have had more than $100 in refills during that period for each line active on the account. I refilled my account with two payments ($100 and $20), left the US on 28/7/23 and expected to unlock my device 14 days after purchase. Which didn't work. After hours with T-Mobile customer care, my understanding is that the "We're committed to providing you with clear information about unlocking your mobile device." (cited from the aforementioned web page) is not clear enough for the teamwho implemented the unlocking system. As far as I can tell, unlocking is based on days active on the network and has nothing to do with the date of purchase of the device whatsoever. Hence the last sentence should read as "In addition, the device must be active for more than 14 days on the T-Mobile network" instead of "In addition, more than 14 days must have passed since the device was purchased." "Purchased" vs. "activated" - why does it matter you may ask? Well, it does in my case. I'm abroad (not on the T-Mobile network) and won't return to the US for several months. I can't unlock my $999 phone and most likely must buy a second phone to use here. Needless to say that I wouldn't have bought the phone in the first place if T-Mobile would have been honest about their unlocking policy. Thank you, T-Mobile for lying to me and all the time, material and money wasted.schubigeHace 2 añosRoaming Rookie4.2KViews1like22ComentariosUnlock Alcatel Goflip 4 for any carrier
I bought an Alcatel Goflip 4 from T-Mobile almost 2 years ago. I want to use it with a sim card from a Canadian carrier when I am in Canada. I have had multiple contacts with T-Mobile tech support and have been given four different unlock codes, none of which have worked. Has anyone been able to unlock one of these devices to use with other carriers?brmdamonHace 8 mesesNetwork Novice577Visto0likes21ComentariosRequest to unlock the device and contact the expert without providing a solution
I submitted an unlocking request to the T-mobile expert on July 17th. After checking with the customer service expert, they said they met the unlocking requirements and were given a 72 hour waiting time to complete the submission. However, they have not unlocked it yet. I have contacted customer service multiple times and contacted online customer service on the website, all of which were asking to wait for 72 hours to fully unlock it, but none of them have been unlocked. After only chatting with Twitter for a few words, I will no longer reply to the message! Why didn't I submit an unlock request to you as a customer of T-mobile and not provide a solution! And my equipment meets the requirements and is clean! I am very angry! The following is the Chat log with t-mobilejack_MillerHace 2 añosNetwork Novice1.2KViews0likes21ComentariosUNLOCK SPRINT IPHONE

I bought 2 new iPhone SE (2nd gen) from Apple when the product was released. Then, I brough themto my T-mobile lines. Now, I am about to sell them so that I can start using new devices. In one of the phones, the Carrier Lock field is "SIM Locked", which makes me very angry, because I never owed anything to T-mobile on these devices. I talked to 3 technicians on T-mobile side, and 1 from Apple Care. The Apple technician said they don't set Carrier Lock and they can't clear it. The T-mobile technicians told me that they have cleared this phone in their system so that I should just live with the "SIM Locked" on my phone, because they don't have a mechanism to clear it. This is unfair to me in 2 ways: (1) potential buyers mayshy away frommy phone because it says that the phone is locked to a carrier; (2) T-mobile should have never put a lock on my phone in the first place, resulting in my tedious phone call with multiple technicians tono vail. I wonder if someone has a clever way to clear it?Solved1.5KViews0likes20Comentarios
