How do I connect my router to the T-Mobile LTE Wi-Fi Gateway?
My old setup consisted of a cable modem connected to a router. I would like to continue using my router (and mesh router system that I plan to upgrade to in the very near future). How do I connect a router to the T-Mobile LTE Wi-Fi Gateway? Is it possible? I've tried turning of Wi-Fi in the gateway and have connected one of the ethernet ports on the back of the gateway to the WAN port on my router, but I cannot connect to the internet. Are there settings that need to be changed? Or, is it just not possible?Solvedd000dHace 5 añosNetwork Novice50KViews0likes8Comentarios2.4g devices not connecting to T-Mobile Home Network
Recently I set-up a T-Mobile5G Home Internet and am discovering that not all my devices can connect. My Shark IQ Robot vacuum is one device that will not connect to 5G, it says it can only connect to 2.4G. Does anyone have an idea how I can get this to work?SolvedNanaNiseHace 3 añosNewbie Caller48KViews13likes30ComentariosHow to handle lack of WPS button on new Home Internet Router
Hi, I got the new Home Internet Cylinder router. Pretty simple setup but the speeds are good and the price is right. I have a few devices I have always used WPS to connect. Some extenders and some indoor cameras. Can't figure out how to do it now. I do not see a WPS button. Am I missing something? The interface is so simple but maybe it will get better with time. I am NOT paid or endorsed by any VPN company or anyone else to make this post. This is simply what works for me and my particular VPN client. I am using the Nokia 5G grey tube router, and I've seen a few posts complaining that they can't use a VPN with it. Also special thanks to the T-Mobile rep who advised me on some of this when I got the service. If you're using PIA (and this may apply to your VPN as well), click the 3 dots, go to your settings, and do the following under the Connection tab: Make sure your protocol is OpenVPN Change your connection type to TCP Change your configuration method to Static After this, close the settings, and reconnect to your VPN. If using other software, make sure to save your settings if it does not automatically do so. It may take 1-5 minutes for your IP to change to your VPN. After this, google "what is my ip" and make sure it matches with your VPN. In my case, it took about 2 minutes for my IP to completely change over, even after my VPN client connected. Below are some pictures for those of you who aren't quite as savvy: I hope this helps anyone trying to use a VPN. I can't provide any support beyond this post, so best of luck.36KViews5likes22ComentariosMesh Wi-Fi 6 System
On the new grey 5G home internet box, when you connect to its web page (typicallyhttp://192.168.12.1/), on the Overview screen, under the Devices panel, one of the items listed is "Mesh Wi-Fi 6 System", just above "Wireless" and "Ethenet". This implies a third way of networking devices (it currently says 0 connected). I have a DecoWi-Fi 6 mesh router and was wondering if they could be interconnected by something other than an ethnet cable. Is this something that is currently implemented or is it just a planned feature for a future expansion? On their product page (https://www.t-mobile.com/isp/gateway) where it lists device features, it also says "Mesh expandable Yes", but I haven't found any details about this in the documentation.dadownHace 4 añosRoaming Rookie35KViews16likes59ComentariosHow to access Expert settings on Home Internet
I just got a 5g home internet router and so far the signal and speeds are good at my home. I already have a wireless router (Amplifi) that covers my house much better than the t mobile device so I'd like to use that, which means I need to put the t mobile router in bridge mode/DMZ and turn off the wireless radios. T mobile's web user interface guide (https://www.t-mobile.com/support/devices/web-user-interface-t-mobile-lte-wi-fi-gateway#app8) states that many features of the router can be accessed via the Expert menu (ie DMZ, etc). I can't access any such Expert menu on my router. ¡Ayuda!mountainmanHace 4 añosRoaming Rookie31KViews1like17ComentariosIP Location issue
So apparently I cannot connect to sites that need to verify your location because my new tmobile internet service shows me as being located in a State that is different from my actual location. Been on hold for 50 mins to speak to someone, not sure if I will get anyone tonightand this is not looking good for customer service support that you don't have a different number specifically for tech issues like this.30KViews12likes49ComentariosCopatiible Wifi Extender with the TMobile 5G Internet Gateway?
I am looking for recommendations on the best Wi-Fi extender for the 5G home Gateway. I have both a TP Link RE 220 and a Netgear EX3700. They both fail to connect due to MAC address issues… even though they work fine with my current modem/router. I am looking to move away from my Xfinity service but need a Wi-Fi extender in my garage to connect some of my outdoor enabled devices. ¡Gracias!KWofOspreyCoveHace 3 añosNewbie Caller29KViews1like24Comentariosethernet cable with home internet
