Spotify / Pandora Prepaid Customers Using Mobile Data FIX

Ok. I have contacted my legal team (I work in the Legal field). And I asked if we can start a class action suit against TMobile for the dreaded challenge of these apps not working on mobile data being there is perk that if you sign up for a specific plan, you are entitled to music and not use your monthly data. Heck it's why I change from the 30 to 40$ plan...

I have since opened 3 tickets. No resolution.

I will say the work around is to use (Proton VPN APP is free) a VPN. Once you enable it, bam the music works on mobile data. You can disconnect the VPN and the music app still works.

Now I also understand the APN hack to change to IP4 which does work but not 100%. But then your traveling at IP4 on all your apps...

So the real challenge actually isn't TMobile but the actual music vendor not supporting IP6.

So a class action suit would raise corporate eyebrows but in the end it's the fact of Spotify not on the IP6 level.

    Yes, please do it!

I've been having this issue with them every month for the past 4 months (basically ever since I got a 40USD prepaid plan with them), and every month I find myself spending an hour if not more on the phone with them trying to resolve the issue. Last month I was so tired of it I didn't even bother calling and just pre-downloaded the stuff I wanted to listen to prior to leaving wifi connections.

I can't deal with them anymore, this is unacceptable.

  • I'm still having this issue too and have been resorting to a VPN to get Spotify streaming to work. Anyone have any other suggestions? I may as well upgrade to the $50/month unlimited plan from $40/month.

on iPhone 13 Pro Max and have tried Airplane mode, turning the line off/on, reset network settings, and rebooting the phone.

I have recently upgraded my plan from the $40 prepaid with 10GB fast data to the $50 fully unlimited plan and it "fixed" the issue

I say "fixed" because having to spend more money to fix the unstable data shouldn't be a fix. I can confirm the music unlimited perk is messing not only with Spotify, but somehow also most websites

This is happening to both my spotify and apply music. I think it's streaming services in general. But also some websites are well?? I'm so confused on what's going on. this is the 3rd month where it happens right when my new billing cycle renews. If anyone figures out a fix please let us know this is crazy

Realized yesterday that it's happening on a lot more websites now, it used to refuse to load on a few news websites but now it's getting worse and worse. At this point, T-Mobile's Mobile data is useless until you turn on a VPN or connect to Wi-Fi to complete avoid T-Mobile's network

Been dealing with this same issue. Customer service representative I spoke with said T-Mobile is aware of the issue and "working on it." It's been several months and still no fix. They suggested the VPN temporary fix but why should we take all these extra steps while paying for a service that doesn't even work? Very disappointing, will be switching to Mint Mobile.

You know Mint mobile is being bought by Tmobile.

    Esta^

I've been dealing with this issue for months now, specifically with Spotify and hell, some news websites for some reason too

My phone has two Cellular Access Points for T-Mobile for some reason, for some time switching between the two fixed the problem temporarily, but now it stopped working. Switching to IPv4 doesn't seem to work at all either and everyone seems to recognize it's T-Mobile's unlimited music streaming perk, I want them to really fix this already as it's to my understanding this is affecting nearly everyone on T-Mobile's network
