Tmobile trade in is SCAM

T mobile trade in is definitely a scam or useless reps that promised resolutions to just get you off the phone.  I have port in and trade in my phones from Verizon in Sept 2022.  They advertised and promised the trade-in amounts.  Processed at store in Sept and somehow one of the trade in was linked to wrong line.  Rep at store claim it is not an issue for the promotion etc.  Ever since then, i had called customer care and spoken to over 10 reps since Sep and still have not been corrected by T mobile.  So, beware when you decide to port in or trade in your phone in Tmobile.. You may never see the credits/promotions promised.

I was charged Internation plan of $77.42 while I was in Bacelona! I had no coverage! So when I returned I cancelled it within days. I was told I will get a refund on 7/11! I even got a text regarding it.

I just opened my bill because I am on auto pay! They lied! They never credit my $77.42

    I am calling them now!

Good to know. I ended up going to another TMobile store which took my trade as they should have. So it all worked out I think.

If you have any disputes about your trade-ins do not call 611 customer service.  They will not help you.

Private message the T-mobile official page on Facebook or Twitter.  That goes to a another group responsible for interfacing with customer via social media called T-Force that has executive level responsibility that is way above customer service.

I spent 2 hours with T-mobile's 611 customer service speaking to several managers who told me that my phone arrived damaged (which is BS because I packaged it in the original iPhone box, bubble wrapped it around that box and placed it in another box).  The Customer Service people said there was nothing they could do except give me a one time $200 credit on my bill for my trouble.  When I asked for proof of the damaged phone, they said they had no pictures and no way of contacting anyone at the Assurance warehouse to verify it.  They said $200 was all they could offer me.  No shipping my phone back and no fixing the situation or verifying it.

However - when I messaged T-force through FB, they immediately fixed the problem, and said that they could see that it was a system error on their end and my monthly credits had been stopped by mistake.  My phone was not marked as damaged, and they apologized for the mistake.  My monthly credits have now been reinstated and they let me keep the $200 statement credit for all of my troubles.

    Trade in Scam:

T mobile definitely is running a scam. Tried to get credit for a trade in of my iPhone 13pro max. Perfect condition. They told me some indicator in the sim tray suggested the phone had gotten wet or some other issue. Turned down my trade!  I took the phone directly to the Apple Store. They ran their screen and told me the phone was in fine trade in condition. T-Mobile is running a scam here! Do not buy your phone from them!

Did T-mobile resolve these for anyone?

They are telling me that they never received my trade-in phones which were delivered on February 13 according to UPS. They are sitting on my $3200. Any advise? Is T-mobile even paying any attention to these posts?

Well i work at ups at muhammad ali international airport and ive worked in every building they have so i can say without a doubt t-mobile and any other company telling you that "the package is still at the ups facility" is definitely lying. Our supervisors, and their bosses are up the employees about getting every single package out within the span of 2-3 days at most. I kid you not i leave work everyday looking through every crack and crevice for any potential packages that never even fall off the automated belt system. T-mobile is lying to you and they probably just wanted to steal your phone and blame it on UPS.

  • T-mobile—cheater!

I didn't receive my trade-in discount, They are telling my trade-in phone imei is not matching with their warehouse database. Ups confirmed that they delivered the package.

I also have not received the trade-in discount for my 2 phones even after my third bill.

As per shipping tracking, phones were delivered in September,

But my Tmobile app still says that the 2 devices are due.

I called T-Mobile multiple times, and every time representative on the phone says that phones are received at the warehouse and the team is processing them but even after the third bill there are no trade-in discounts.
