Android 15 update for Pixel 9
When do we expect the rollout of Android 15 on Pixel 9 for T-mobile? Will it be on the 15th October or a later date?
Google pushes out those updates, not T-Mobile. Android 15 should launch on October 15th but it will not get pushed to all devices at once. A staggered rollout is what is always done with a major update to make sure no major bug has slipped passed QA and affects millions of devices.

Thank you for that bit of info. The staggered rollout makes sense and I reckon devices bought directly from Google store will get the update first followed by the ones bought from carriers. T-mobile should be the last one as that is what I heard about them from my own research ;)
I do appreciate your response, thank you very much!

This update did land on time. But every month the update is late. The 14 update was 2 weeks late and they were forced to apologize. The only reason 15 is on time was Google gave the carriers a month to be able to review it. But yes, T-Mobile must review all updates and sometimes, oftentimes, it is late. All you have to do is Google it and you will see many customers discussing this All you have to do is Google it and you will see many customers discussing this

@syaoran So are you saying that Google releases OTA updates for each device? Even though Android 15 is out there for P6 up to P9s, us P7 owners are waiting on google? I was always under the impression that its the carrier that approves updates per device and send the OTA update request

Can confirm this is not live on my Pixel 7 Pro as of 10/17. This is similar to the delay for my Pixel 6 Pro and Android 14 last year. This is absolutely related to T-Mobile not releasing the update in a timely manner.

P7's are waiting for an update for their bootloader code before the update gets pushed. This applies to all of the Pixel 7 series regardless of carrier.

Where are you finding that information? I have never heard of that and the various forums I follow don't seem to indicate as such

It was mentioned in one of the Android news sites. It should make it out next week.
