Unlock pattern on Galaxy Note 20 Ultra 5G please
Please - need to know how to turn off or bypass pattern lock on Note 20 5G Ultra. My father unfortunately passed away and I know he has some great family videos/ pics as well as his email account to let his friends know of his passing. He has a Note 20 phone that is still connected to T-mobile, but I cannot access without the pattern design selected. How can this be reset or accessed without losing everything on the phone - it doesn't appear that customer service at T-Mobile or at Samsung know of a way which is incredibly worrisome for anyone that may lose a family member.
The Note 20 has an SD card if I remember correctly. What you want might be on there. There is no way to bypass the Pattern/PIN. You could also9 try connecting it to a PC on the pattern screen to see if the internal storage shows up to access.

Thank you for the insight. it is incredibly disappointing that a customer like me on my dad's T-Mobile account cannot simply turn off the pattern rollover step on the account itself. incredibly unfair that practice was not implemented by these companies. There are companies I see in my online searches now that with a cost to buy their services, they claim the passcode and rollover function can be overwritten. I will have to see if this is true and can be done this way. At the end of the day, the police have to have a function that can do this as well, otherwise how would they know who to call from the phone of a dead person in a crash, homicide, injury, etc…. There has to be a way that is being omitted from the conversation.
there is..however theyre able to do so because they are law enforcement and doing so is to help them solve a crime/homicide/injury.

I'm glad phones make it near impossible to access them without proper credentials. As noted, it's by design and appreciated by most consumers.

Unless he setup a Samsung account and backed up his lock pin there is no way other than an exploit which no carrier or Samsung would have.
Not being able to access is by design. It's a double edge sword make it harder for thieves or exploiters in turn makes it harder for law enforcement or in your case you.
