Visual Voicemail will not activate on prepaid account
I have a pre-paid account without mobile data.
Visual Voicemail had been working but then there was an update last week.
When opening updated Visual Voicemail it wants to activate using "supported mobile carrier network". It says I can't use WIFI to activate though it will work once activated.
Pressing “getting started” results in “Visual Voicemail cannot be authenticated due to cellular data mode being turned off”.
I can turn on mobile data without error. Trying again I get new message "Visual Voicemail was not activated please try again." Trying again multiple times does not work.
Phone is a OnePlus Nord N200 5g.
Any ideas? Thanks.

I got VV to activate.
On website. Under My Profile/Blocking controls/Data Controls was set to block all data.
I set to “Do not block data”.
Enabled data on phone.
Opened VV but it still did not work.
Waited 10+ minutes and tried again. Still no work.
Uninstalled and re-installed VV and then it worked.
I don’t know if both actions were needed.
Perhaps if I had waited longer before re-install it would have worked?
Or perhaps unblocking data was not needed and I only need reinstall VV?
