Location services not working

I have an AT&T work phone and I can check into restaurants on Facebook and do searches no matter where I am.  I a trying to start using my personal phone (TMobile) more but I am unable to check into restaurants on Facebook or get directions or search anything if I am not logged into WiFi at home or where I am at the time.  I have had several people ask me to check location services and it seems to be fine.  Do I have go to into the store?  What am I missing?  ¡Gracias!
