Low signal, spotty 5G-UC, and very low speeds

Located in west Phoenix.  Amplified Max plan (yes it's old, i'm grandfathered in) For the last week I have been experiencing 1-2 bars, spotty 5Guc, now it's mostly showing 5g only, and speed tests around 2-5 Mbps down and 0.5-1.5Mbps up. Until recently I was showing 4 bars all the time (everywhere in my house) and download speeds of 500-700Mbps down & 20-50Mbps up. I have two devices which both show the same symptoms, leading me to believe it's a tmobile network issue. Ipad 10 with cellular and an iPhone 13 pro max.

Now I have to go outside to get the same signal that I used to get indoors.

Whats the deal T-Mobile?

 

  • Look to your last Apple software update.  You can find similar complaints on other carrier forums as well.  

  • Having the same issue in Los Angeles 5GUC seems like not enough internet to load basic stuff like Instagram.

  • Yeah that's not right. I just joined a couple weeks ago and I have been on ios17 and iOS 18. Maybe slightly degraded from 17-18, but negligible.

    Not sure this passes the sniff test. Apple iOS and iPad OS aren't the same, and this happened to both devices at the same time. 17.6.1 on iOS. iPad isn't in front of me so I'm not sure what it's running at the moment.
