CellSpot personal
Hola,
when ordering the CellSpot the representative assured me that I did not need to connect to the internet, howerver, after receiving the device the instructs indicated I need to connect the cellspot to my internet. Thus us issue as the internet not reliable nor fast in the rural are in which I live…
is thus true I must connect the internet to use this device?

What you should have asked for, is a signal booster. It's always been odd that T-Mobile refers to both devices as cellspots. If your signal is week or non-existent at your location though. A booster will not help.

Thanks for that Syaoran, the WiFi calling doesn't work well for me. Sitting at my desk, if I call my cell phone (1 bar of LTE typically) from my Teams VOIP phone it will not ring. I really don't want to switch from t-mobile but it's a problem.

There are two types of CellSpots. One amplifies signal that is already there. If you have very weak or no signal, this will not help at all. The other one plugs into your internet to create an area of cellular coverage of about 1,000 square feet under ideal conditions. If your device supports WiFi Calling, I would recommend using that instead.
Do not buy a CellSpot off of EBay or anywhere else. T-Mobile does not sell these! They are issued to customers to use while they need them and then must be returned to T-Mobile.

I have an office location with little to no 5G/LTE signal and would love to have the cellspot that plugs into your network to communicate with T-Mobile. Does T-Mobile still sell these? If I buy one on eBay, will it work? Best, Tim
