Poor cellphone reception

-My cell reception has been sketchy but it seems to be getting worse.  My daughter's having the same trouble also.  She is on my plan but doesn't live in my house.

-People can't seem to hear us.  All of a sudden our voices get so low it sounds like we're talking at the end of a tunnel.  And then usually, but not always the volume comes back to normal.

-Other times it just sounds staticky on either my phone or the other person’s phone.

-It has been happening for a long time now.  But within the past 3 months it seems to be getting worse as in the reception is wonky more often and for longer periods.  It interferes so badly one party has to hang up and call back.

-What can I do?  I routinely power off my phone and power it back on.  My wi-fi calling is "on".

-We both have iPhones, she 14, I 15 pro max.  We both work from home so it's not like we are out and about.  I have ATT Fiber internet because T-Mobile isn't in my area yet.  My daughter has Xfinity internet.

Have you both tried with ‘WiFi calling off’  in other locations ?

Also, you can request what is called a 'cell spot' which will connect to your fiber gateway and generate a low range 4G LTE signal.  It may be that AT&T or Xfinity has some issues with VoIP (I can't say .. I've used Spectrum and its ok).
