Sending email to @tmomail.net gets blocked

This message was created automatically by mail delivery software.

 

A message that you sent could not be delivered to one or more of

its recipients. This is a permanent error.

        multiple delivery attempts failed

 

 

I can send an email from my personal @gmail.com to phoneline@tmomail.net but cannot send mail from an @specific domain.  This domain is NOT on any email black lists and can send to other email addresses just fine, in fact, TMobile can SEND messsages TO this @specific domain I just cannot receive.  I've tried blank messages, test messages, messages with attachments etc...

I found when trying to forward the blocked message to a t-mobile.com tech support email it was also blocked on their internal domains.  This has been going on for over a month.  I've called into tech support many times over the past month.  I can only restart my phone or clear cache so many times.  I'm pulling my hair out trying to explain the TMOBILE E-Mail server is blocking my messages, not my phone or app

    I just tested again and sent link to two different numbers and it worked fine, though one took two minutes to go through and the other almost four minutes. Based on previous comments about this being a "legacy" system, perhaps traffic is low priority (or it's getting routed to a foreign country first). I saw this kind of lag/latency in text messages 25 years ago - maybe they are using 1990s tech?! :)

    I sent a YouTube link from Gmail on my android phone to a friend's number @tmomail.net and it worked - although it took four minutes to come through, which is a strangely long time when two-factor authentication SMS is instant to a few seconds.

    Unfortunately, the tmomail.net service is not designed for those types of automated service. You will need to find a new way to send your messages to those customers.

    Sending a text to someone through the phoneline@tmomail.net is pretty handy in many situations. Unfortunately, it is a legacy system and is not really able to manage a ton of traffic, so any automated messages are completely blocked from using it. That is why you are able to send a message manually from your gmail account, but you see the error you shared when you try to send from the message delivery system. 

    I would love to help you find a workaround, so you can still send or receive the messages you need. In order to do that, I need to understand what you are trying to accomplish a little better. Are you trying to share websites from your computer to your phone? Are you trying to send messages to other people when you don't know their email address? Are you running a business and trying to get messages to your customers? I appreciate you giving a little more information so we can find something that works for you. 

  • contact them through one of their social media platforms like Facebook or Twitter..you start with a higher tier support compared to the call in agents.

     

     

  • I'm sure you think this is helpful?  It's not.  I pay for a service (to send / receive messages) and it's not working.  If it's because of a system they've put in place to "protect" me, then they need to whitelist my domain.  I've called.  Although super nice people, I get nowhere and they don't understand anything beyond rebooting a phone.
