Service outage in Tennessee

What is going on with the service now? We had lost service due to the hurricane, which I understand, but now I cannot connect to cell service. I'm in Johnson City, TN

  • Lost cell coverage and internet (both with t-mobile) for about three days due to the flooding. Now it's super spotty. Internet is the worst, it goes out several times a day for long periods of time and cell service has been very unreliable. (Greeneville, TN).

  • Same thing here. Since the storms happened we didn't have internet or phone service for two days. Now at least 5 or 6 times a day the phones go into SOS mode then switches over to roaming with no data usage. During this time we lose home internet too. This is on a daily basis. After this much time, this is becoming unacceptable. If this continues I'm not going to have any options except to change carriers. (Church Hill, TN)

  • Yes, mgamble83 , agreed. If they can't get service working properly this long after the storm, I didn't think I'll be waiting much longer either, to find another Internet provider. I with from home and rely on my Wi-Fi! This is totally unacceptable.

Definitely a regional problem.  My wife and I are in Johnson City (downtown) and have super spotty and delayed service.

I suggest switching to WiFi Calling if that’s an option, and don’t forget to to change the preference to WiFi (if you’re on Android).

    ¡Buena suerte!

  • Horrible service now for about 5 days. Chuckey, TN  Service is up, it's down, it's 5G, it's LTE & roaming.  What the heck is going on???

  • Almost no internet service on my phone in downtown Johnson City at 9:09 PM on 10/11/2024.

Has your service improved? Very spotty service in Valley Forge. Almost nil at the house

    1. Overloaded service; everyone is trying to use phone/internet at the same time. First responders get priority.
    2. Towers on generators, which break down or run out of fuel.
    3. Towers still need wire (fiber) connections, which might be down.

Just a few of the possibilities.
