The router page in my browser (5G Home Unlimited)
We got T-Mobile a couple of days ago and I am wondering if maybe this was a bad idea. 1) While I LOVE that a 256MB download happens faster than I can blink, The regular use of the computer is irritating me to death. It just loads for the longest time and nowhere in the house except for 10 ft from the gateway has a good signal.
When I logged into the router page to check things, I was absolutely Gob Smacked at how very little USEFUL anything there was there. There is nowhere to see any devices or connection to the device. Also, when trying to set up a printer, I realized there was not only NO WPS PUSHBUTTON but there isn't a way (that was immediately obvious) to use the PIN option.
WHY in the world would companies keep taking away methods for people to use to connect things.
And I read that it was possible to manage this internet without a telephone, but I'm going to say that unless you mean just verifying the connection is up and what the device serial number is, then the router page is an absolutely useless step to tell people to go to check when they have problem. And the speeds so far haven't really been all that mind blowing. And considering I am coming from a download speed of 6MBPs MAX, that should say something. So, why did T-mobile choose to manufacture a Gateway that sucks as far as any way to connect things besides entering a password? And I wasn't aware that the gateway had an optional antennae if it wasn't working well but would it help with the wifi signal.

It's an awful app - you have to first to into T-Life --> Manage and then select your T-Mobile 5G Gateway and login (thumbscan / One-Time-Pin) ... THEN, select the bottom 'Connect' (looks like a magenta Google Maps icon), and scroll down to 'Things'.
In my case 'TMOBILE-52DA' 'online'.
You will see 'Connected devices', 'Offline' devices, under 'Overview'
My-WiFi Allows for password sharing, extra devices to 'add', 'Restart gateway', 'Troubleshoot Gateway', General info (model/firmware), Advanced (IMEI, ICCID, MSISDN)
More: --- Internet line 'phone number', Suppport, Gateway User Guide, Gateway Placement Assistant, and my favorite 'Advanced Cellular Metrics', which is a little different than the legacy version.
The app isn't very 'user friendly' for this, but ... it does allow you to do all of this remotely over cellular vs. WiFi.

I'd say that's an understatement! But thanks for answering the question. It says online that if you don't have a phone or you can't use the tea Life app that you can manage it from online but I don't see anywhere that you can manage it online without a phone everything I see keeps referring me to an app. Which is fine I have an app but I lost my phone and it almost it took an act of Congress just about to get everything back so I was trying to see if I was going to have to cover myself if for whatever reason my phone was lost or destroyed because I'm really not happy with everything I do being linked to a cell phone. But thank you for the answer all the same. Is there a difference between the T-Mobile home internet and the T Life app?

Id recommend using the TMobile Home Internet app, or TLife app. Webpage offers little
