Can someone help with the API error on SyncUp for KidsApp

GM, I am following this issue with other users. I understand that the TMobile Life app allows tracking to continue. However, there are some things that I have lost control of. For instance, I can not add contact through the T Mobile Life app specifically for my child's phone. What need to be done? Does anyone have a work around for this function? (i.e. updating SOS contacts).
