Syncup Kids Watch issue
Bought a used syncup kids watch to replace a broken one. After getting the sim activated, can't pair with the app. Says it's registered with another user. Messaged the person I bought them from and he bought them from someone else and resold them. T-Mobile can't work around this problem apparently. Anyone have this issue and has been able to correct it?
These are just my suggestions, don't know if they would work. 1) did you do a factory reset on the watch? Then it would act like it's new from the box. Then insert your new sim card. Download the T-life app for setup and pairing.
2) when you spoke to T-Mobile rep, they checked to make sure the watch was activated on a line of service for you, right? And removed from any other users' T-Mobile account, right? They would need the numbers from the back of the watch.
Oh my gosh it was such a pain. They had to get me a new watch which took a long time. I think that was the only solution after being on the phone with different people for hours.
@Stroomer @Slowrolltoperfection did either of you ever get a resolution on this? Dealing with the exact same thing right now, between store support and an hour on the phone last night with "specialized watch support" no real path to resolution. Seems crazy Tmobile cant manually "unpair" the watch from original owner, so I can finish setting it up on my end….
I have this same problem. Spent an hour in the t mobile store today, they didn't fix the problem. She called a t mobile rep whom I spent over an hour on the phone with- he couldn't solve the problem. He put me on with another "sync up watch tech specialist" whom I was on the phone with for another 30 plus minutes- who eventually hung up or "lost connection" with me and didn't call me back. Issue is STILL unresolved. How hard can it be to fix? Also, why are the re-issuing products that are still claimed/owned by others? Shouldn't that be taken care of prior to giving it to another customer?
