battery issue
We have the in home internet and our tower says that the internal battery is not charging and at 0%. Could this be affecting our internet speed and do I need to replace the tower? The tower stays plugged in at all times and only works in one spot in our house. I know it's not the outlet since my husband uses the outlet to charge his computer. ¿Tienes alguna idea?

No it does not since the battery is only when you unplug and carry the router around the house for best signal. Once you have that figured out, the battery has no further use. Having said that, it is technically a hardware failure so you might as well ask for a replacement as long as you are willing to do setup again.

If T-Mobile will send a battery replacement that might be best. If the gateway has been reliable I would be inclined to keep it and not introduce new possible variables. I have a Nokia from the early BETA period and it has been rock solid. I am just a bit suspicious about the later revisions of the Nokia gateway due to users reporting heat issues. The devil you know might be better than the one you don't know. If the battery is the only issue and the gateway runs fine without it I would be inclined to stay with what I know vs getting a refurb or one of the others as the Nokia allows web management access which is an advantage. Your call in effect.
