SIP ALG settings with KVD21 T-Mobile Gateway
I have T-Mobile 5G internet as my ISP. I have a VOIP business telephone line in my home. My office telephone provider is Intermedia. I have successfully used my office phone with my T-Mobile internet for several months with no problem. One day recently, I discovered that calls dialed out on my Intermedia phone did not connect. I got the usual dial tone and heard the numbers as I punched them in, but no connection, only dead air followed. I first contacted Intermedia. They ran a SIP ALG detector and determined that I need to disable SIP ALG to allow the system to work properly. There is no way to change settings on my T-Mobile gateway. I called T-Mobile tech support and I was told they have no they can neither enable, nor disable these settings. Contact the Taiwan based manufacturer, Arcadyan. I have literally spent days on chats, holding for tech support and generally raging over this issue, as I never changed anything and one day my phone simply stopped working. HELP!

About a year ago I installed T-Mobile's 5G Gateway at my other property. It worked great! My daughter moved into the house and alog with her, her work equipment: computer and VolP phone. It worked great for a few months. Two weeks ago the VolP phone stopped working. The past 12 days I've been working with T-Mobile and the business phone folks, Temecula Valley Communications, to resolve the problem. Both blame the other. Today I swapped out the original 5G Gateway for a later model. Internet works fine, the phone does not. TVC did a hard reboot on the phone. That did not resolve the issue. The phone company says T-Mobile must have SIP on, no way to tell.
