4g lte cellspot

Hey, so two days ago I received my tmobile home internet gateway router and it works great with one issue I have not been able to overcome which is I also have the cellspot for expanding coverage in my house as there is hardly any to no signal within the house to use our phones. We have wifi calling and everything enabled and it just didn't work at all, but the cellspot worked great. The issue is the cellspot transmits a tmobile radio signal and my home internet wants to connect to the cellspot because it is the strongest signal it can pick up and obviously that wont work because the cellspot is connected to the home internet gateway router. So is there a way to blacklist or block the home gateway router from using the cellspot signal and to connect to the cell towers instead? With the cellspot off the home internet gateway router works great with awesome speeds, as soon as I plug in the cellspot I get nothing. Any help would be greatly appreciated5.9KViews5likes31ComentariosIs my neighbor's 4G LTE Cellspot degrading my service?
For reference I live in an apartment building which has acceptable T-Mobile service as I'vegone years without any issues living here. A new neighbor hasmoved in recently, and I noticed that I havebeen experiencingworse call qualityand more calls have beendropping. Our building has a very spotty internet provider with high ping and slow upload speeds. A few things lead me to believe that my new neighborshave installed a T-Mobile 4G LTE Cellspot. I'mfamiliar with the Cellspot because my parents live in a rural area and have one in their home.In the past myphone used to display 5G service regularly, nowinstead itdisplays LTE exclusively. When stepping outside about twenty yards away from the building my 5G service returns. I also receive better speeds when running a speed test outside away from my building. Inside of my building I barely reach 40mbs down and usually below5 mbs upload speed which is important for calls and video calls. Speed and the quality of calls has never been an issue before. But only recently becauseof this I'm needingto leave my hometo make calls. It's frustrating because like I said this is a recent issue and I can pin it to something that's making it worse. I use my T-Mobile service to get away from my terrible internetto begin with. I understand that there is no way to connect to the tower directly because the Cellspot is basically a small tower itself and the phone connects there by default. ¿Cuáles son mis opciones?1KViews1like8ComentariosMy cellspot not connecting
Hi, I looked over the internet to see if there was something i was missing. I just upgraded to the v2 as the original cellspot stopped working 6 months ago ( just green power light nothing else) The new one started with green flashing power and amber flashing internet. I had originally setup through my archer ax21 router but after two days switched to plugging directly into the modem. (a tplink tc-7620) and plugging the router into the lan port. Now i have green flashing power and solid amber internet led. I called customer support and that was fruitless. After 20 minutes of telling the person on the phone that she doesnt have a script for my question she checked with her colleagues and told me that xfinity comcast doesn't block customers ports. ( Not entirely true as there are about a dozen ports they do block that started way back with the sasser worm iirc). I have tried various port scanners and the results are mixed but it seems to say that the ports are open but filtered? No explanation of that. I have cycled power a bunch of times and have tried resetting the cellspot a couple of times. Does tmobile have a port testing site that they recommend to see if i need to confront my ISP at a higher level? Gracias1KViews1like2Comentarios4G LTE CellSpot v2 not connecting
T-Mobile CellSpot v2 received yesterday. When first connected: Power blinking green, Internet solid green, Status blinking orange After couple hours the CellSpot rebooted itself and changed to: Power blinking green, Internet blinking orange UDP ports 123, 500 and 4500 verified open through Test-NetConnection command, but additionally: Forwarded these ports to CellSpot, rebooted CellSpot, no change in behavior Placed CellSpot in DMZ, rebooted CellSpot, no change in behavior Disconnected everything else from the router, rebooted the router and connected the CellSpot to the router as the only Ethernet device, powered up, again no change in behavior Factory reset the CellSpot, the whole process repeated itself from "When first connected" I am at loss here. Is it possible that the CellSpot they send me is not authorized on T-Mobile core network? Is there a way to get to the Tech Support knowledgeable enoght to check that without waiting an hor on the phone and being transferred 3 times from agent to agent?8.5KViews1like16Comentarios
