Gateway 5G
66 TopicsGreat Download Speeds, Horrible Upload speeds
A couple weeks ago our upload speeds dropped to below one, while our download speeds seem pretty consistent. 30-140. I reached out to customer service, did all the steps, and they sent a new gateway out. The New Gateway is having the same issues. Download 30-140, Upload .87. So now I'm back on with customer service, and they asked me to turn it off and on again. Then to move the unit because I should be getting 36 up. The best up we've ever had is 13. We moved the router all around the house before picking the current location with the best connection. This all started 2-3 weeks ago. No new devices on the network. Apparently no maintenance in the area. Any ideas.165Visto0likes3ComentariosRoblox and T-Mobile Home Internet
Hi! So, I have a new issue (started on April 15th). Prior to April 15th, we were able to get into Roblox no problem using our T-Mobile Home Internet. All of a sudden, on the 15th, we can no longer access it. We get an SSL validation error. The weird thing is, we can access it if I use my T-Mobile phone as a wifi Hotspot (using either T-Mobile cell service or the T-Mobile Home Internet service through my phone.) Also, we can access Roblox via T-Mobile Home Internet but only if we use a VPN. Anyone have any idea why this would be happening? Were there updates to the T-Mobile Home Internet gateway that caused this? Any ideas would be fantastic because I am stumped!2.2KViews0likes8ComentariosWhat happened to my 700mb download speed ?
I have been enjoying 600 to 700 mb download speeds for the past year. now for the past 24 hours, I am in single digits and the teens. Was on with support and they actually had me go to the store and get a new modem suspecting issues. Long story short, no tower issues, no throttle, nothing new added to netwrok and new modem. I am only maxing out at 27mb. what happened? I am out here in brush prairie wa. anyone having similar issues ?28Visto0likes0ComentariosNAT/forwarding issues while gaming/streaming
Hey guys, I'm new here... I just got my gateway in yesterday... I must say, I'm highly disappointed and I only wish I researched this further before I ordered it...I've already donemultiple searches on this topic, so I'm not gonna ask the question I've been wanting to ask which was: "Why isn't my connection open NAT?", or "Why can't I port forward?". I've pretty much answered all of those questions myself by simply searching. I have taken it upon myself to call T-mobile's tech support anyways in the event that somehow a miracle is sent my way.... Fortunately for me, a very kind gentleman by the name of Alex, employee number 786457, assured me that they will be fixing the problem within a 48 hour period. I was told there will be some Beta software sent to my unit "possibly". And yes, that was the word used... Not sure how far I can believe that, seeing as how a lot of you are having issues. But anyway, this is my journey. I will post some updates here n there to let y'all know the outcome. Worst case scenario this causes me to vacate the community & the service entirely. Because this is probably one of the largest handicaps any network can have, it's almost like having parental control without it actually being implemented. Stay tuned folks, I'll let you know what happens. Hopefully this "beta" program isn't bullcucky.6KViews2likes33ComentariosUnidentified 'RDK-B-GW' Device Showing on G4AR Gateway - Need Help!
Hi, I have the white G4AR gateway, and I've noticed a strange device that always appears as connected via Ethernet. I'm certain of the number of devices connected both via Ethernet and Wi-Fi, and this device doesn't match any of them. The device is listed as "RDK-B-GW" and shares the same IP address as the G4AR, but it has a different MAC address from the gateway. This unknown device shows up under the "Connected Devices" list when I use the T Life app (which was recommended as a replacement for the T-Mobile Internet app). However, it does not appear in the "Your Devices" list when I log in through the T-Mobile Internet app. I've searched online for information, but all I find are numerous T-Mobile ads without anything specific about this device or its possible connection to the G4AR. Does anyone know what this device is and how I can remove it? Is it possibly an internal or "ghost" device within the G4AR that's incorrectly displayed as a separate entity with a different MAC address? The manual doesn't mention anything about this either. Thanks in advance for any help!Solved2.8KViews3likes16ComentariosThe router page in my browser (5G Home Unlimited)
We got T-Mobile a couple of days ago and I am wondering if maybe this was a bad idea. 1) While I LOVE that a 256MB download happens faster than I can blink, The regular use of the computer is irritating me to death. It just loads for the longest time and nowhere in the house except for 10 ft from the gateway has a good signal. When I logged into the router page to check things, I was absolutely Gob Smacked at how very little USEFUL anything there was there. There is nowhere to see any devices or connection to the device. Also, when trying to set up a printer, I realized there was not only NO WPS PUSHBUTTON but there isn't a way (that was immediately obvious) to use the PIN option. WHY in the world would companies keep taking away methods for people to use to connect things. And I read that it was possible to manage this internet without a telephone, but I'm going to say that unless you mean just verifying the connection is up and what the device serial number is, then the router page is an absolutely useless step to tell people to go to check when they have problem. And the speeds so far haven't really been all that mind blowing. And considering I am coming from a download speed of 6MBPs MAX, that should say something. So, why did T-mobile choose to manufacture a Gateway that sucks as far as any way to connect things besides entering a password? And I wasn't aware that the gateway had an optional antennae if it wasn't working well but would it help with the wifi signal. Thanks in advance.Solved117Visto0likes4ComentariosMLB The Show does not work on my T-mobile 5g internet box.
MLB The Show does not work on my T-mobile 5g internet box. It will say "Challenge Failed" when trying to play an online match. The game works perfectly fine when i bring my xbox to my parents house. But when i bring it back to my wifi, it doesn't work. I test the NAT type until it's open, I reset the router, etc. I've done everything I can think of and there no solution. Does anyone have this same problem? This is the only game that won't work either. This and NBA 2k brought me some issues. But i can play COD or shooters on my wifi… but cross play sports games seem to bring the issue6KViews3likes21ComentariosConnected device not assigned IP address
I have a computer connected to my T-Mobile Home Internet unit via Ethernet. The app lists it as connected and its Mac address, but no IP address. I need to connect to it via the IP address. None of the instructions I have found resolve the issue mostly because they refer to options and features that the app doesn't have. Perhaps an earlier version had those options but I am using the latest version and on a brand new Home Internet device. How do I get the IP address? arp -a doesn't list that device either. No IP address shown for connected device145Visto0likes1Comentario
