Gateway 5G
27 TopicsGreat Download Speeds, Horrible Upload speeds
A couple weeks ago our upload speeds dropped to below one, while our download speeds seem pretty consistent. 30-140. I reached out to customer service, did all the steps, and they sent a new gateway out. The New Gateway is having the same issues. Download 30-140, Upload .87. So now I'm back on with customer service, and they asked me to turn it off and on again. Then to move the unit because I should be getting 36 up. The best up we've ever had is 13. We moved the router all around the house before picking the current location with the best connection. This all started 2-3 weeks ago. No new devices on the network. Apparently no maintenance in the area. Any ideas.165Visto0likes3ComentariosRoblox and T-Mobile Home Internet
Hi! So, I have a new issue (started on April 15th). Prior to April 15th, we were able to get into Roblox no problem using our T-Mobile Home Internet. All of a sudden, on the 15th, we can no longer access it. We get an SSL validation error. The weird thing is, we can access it if I use my T-Mobile phone as a wifi Hotspot (using either T-Mobile cell service or the T-Mobile Home Internet service through my phone.) Also, we can access Roblox via T-Mobile Home Internet but only if we use a VPN. Anyone have any idea why this would be happening? Were there updates to the T-Mobile Home Internet gateway that caused this? Any ideas would be fantastic because I am stumped!2.2KViews0likes8ComentariosNAT/forwarding issues while gaming/streaming
Hey guys, I'm new here... I just got my gateway in yesterday... I must say, I'm highly disappointed and I only wish I researched this further before I ordered it...I've already donemultiple searches on this topic, so I'm not gonna ask the question I've been wanting to ask which was: "Why isn't my connection open NAT?", or "Why can't I port forward?". I've pretty much answered all of those questions myself by simply searching. I have taken it upon myself to call T-mobile's tech support anyways in the event that somehow a miracle is sent my way.... Fortunately for me, a very kind gentleman by the name of Alex, employee number 786457, assured me that they will be fixing the problem within a 48 hour period. I was told there will be some Beta software sent to my unit "possibly". And yes, that was the word used... Not sure how far I can believe that, seeing as how a lot of you are having issues. But anyway, this is my journey. I will post some updates here n there to let y'all know the outcome. Worst case scenario this causes me to vacate the community & the service entirely. Because this is probably one of the largest handicaps any network can have, it's almost like having parental control without it actually being implemented. Stay tuned folks, I'll let you know what happens. Hopefully this "beta" program isn't bullcucky.6KViews2likes33ComentariosUnexplained Skyrocket of 5G Home Internet Usage
I called T-Mobile support about this, but they really didn't have any answers for me, so wanted to see if anyone else had experienced anything like this. My TM 5G Home Internet usage skyrocketed without any change in our household's usage behavior during this current billing cycle (May 2023). We have the Nokia 5G21 Gateway. In March we used 66.55 GB, April was 9.23 GB and May is 417.31 GB. I've checked all the devices connected to our home network and have been able to identify them all, so I don't think anyone is tapping into our network. We aren't experiencing any decrease in speeds or dropping of the network, so maybe I don't have any reason to be concern, the jump in data usage was just alarming, since we only really web browse, stream video and connect smart home devices. We don't do anything that would send massive data outwards, either. A few things I noticed in my usage reports over the last few months was the number of reports jumping from 8 in March and 1 in April to over 3,000 in May. Also, the previous reports showed as "Mobile Internet," whereas May's report shows all as "Internet Access." So those were both odd.667Visto0likes6ComentariosArcadyan KVD21 5G which connectors for 5G external antenna
Recently, I moved from Comcast Xfinity Internet to T-Mobile. Like many of you I have seen videos and read articles on how to attach an external antenna. I have a 2X2 Proxicast MIMO antenna, however, there is some question as to which connection to use on the Arcadyan Gateway. Currently, I am using M and M1 connections. I mounted the antenna in the rafters (2-story house) aiming toward the T-Mobile cell tower. My cell metrics did not change much. 5G -RSRP -92 with antenna, -93 without; RSRQ -6, -7 without; SINR 16, 8 without What are you using and do you have a different experience? ¡Gracias!5.9KViews0likes29Comentariosn41 band showing inconsistent speeds
I have been having this problem for a little while now and I can't figure out what is causing it. Whenever I am connected to the n41 band and I run speed tests on Ookla and I am connected to a t mobile server, it almost always gives me readings of over 100mbps download and over 5mbps upload. The thing is if I test on any other speed test website, it shows me readings anywhere from 10-30 mbps download and 1-3mbps upload even with my Xbox one. Not to mention that I also have a high packet loss a lot of the time and I don't get why. Does anyone know what could be causing this?🤔Solved156Visto0likes8ComentariosAccess OpenVPN server behind T-mobile Home Internet
Currently, I am testing T-Mobile 5G Home Internet. Here is what I found while I am doing testing: 1. CG-NAT, I am getting 192.168.12 IP on my router WAN 2. NAT444, NAT after NAT, even whatismyip.com gives me a public ip which is the tower public ip, not my modem/gateway Ip. 3. On my Asus router, I turn on IPv6, so I have a public IPv6 My setup: 1. Internet <-> T-Mobile (modem/gateway 192.168.12.) <-> Asus router (192.168.1.0/24) 2. I have Ipv6 on my router, which is a public 2607:fb91:82ae:1493 3. I have OpenVPN server setup on the router. (I tested by access 192.168.12.x from my internal network which works, but it doesn't work when I use the public IPv6 Ip) 4. I have firewall disabled to make sure things work first Goals: 1. I can access my internal network from a public location, so I can get files on my harddrive (attach to the router USB port) 2. Access other web which has region check and I was oversea Questions: 1. How may I OpenVPN into my router from public so I can access my network resource? 2. Any other suggestions?2.4KViews0likes5ComentariosNAT (Forwarding) in T-Mobile Gateway
I recently signed up for T-Mobile internet, and I am VERY disappointed that I could not even forward NATtraffic to my home security system. I saw that this was discussed 7 months ago in a previous thread, and hope the developers will notice this. The speed is great, and the same as was advertised in the chat. I would like this issue to be resolved so that I don't need to continue with Optimum (Morris Broadband).66KViews13likes51Comentarios
