I'm having a problem with T-Mobile 5g home internet that has not been resolved despite many calls in to the help line. I've had T-Mobile 5g home internet for almost a month now, and the short version is that every so often the gateway drops the network. When I say "drop the network," I mean to say it throws everything off of the Wifi that it's broadcasting, and anything plugged in via ethernet says "no network found. (To elaborate this point, cell phones switch to cellular data because wifi is gone for them, and computers hardwired into the gateway think that they are no longer plugged into anything.) Turning off the gateway and turning it back on resolves the issue, but doesn't prevent it from happening again. Whatever is happening doesn't seem to affect our connection speed/strength when the gateway IS providing signal to devices in the home, but due to the nature of our work,we need a connection that won't just disconnect randomly. To address this, T-mobile has so far run a bunch of tests on their end, and seem to have ruled out a tower issue (which makes sense, as the tower shouldn't have anything to do with whether or not the devices on the gateway's wifi or ethernet connection get thrown off of the network.) They've sent me a replacement gateway, which is experiencing the exact same problem(3 times in the last 36 hours, in fact). I've noticed that the device gets pretty warm, so Iset up a computer case fan as a cooler to force air through the device, thinking that perhaps it's an issue with the device overheating. However, while the gateway is notably cooler than it was without the fan, it has not prevented the issue from persisting. The last thing that I can think to do (and my most recent attempt at resolving this issue) is to plug a router into the gateway via ethernet, and allow the router to handle the wifi/connections w/ devices in the house, and to disable wifi from the gateway all together. Maybe the gateway is simply too overburdened with connections and gets somehow overwhelmed and shuts down, and having the router handle the "heavy lifting" of taking care of all of the individual device connections will resolve it? I don't have a great deal of faith that this will fix the issue (as the gateway also kicks ethernet things off of the network when it experiences this problem), but I'm running out of options/ideas of what to do in order to just get a stable, constant internet service. Is anybody else having this issue, has anybody resolved this issue, or does anybody have any advice or feedback regarding how I might get this resolved so that I can get back to having stable internet?73KViews104likes264ComentariosSOLVED Not receiving text verifications/website verification codes?

I am NOT paid or endorsed by any VPN company or anyone else to make this post. This is simply what works for me and my particular VPN client. I am using the Nokia 5G grey tube router, and I've seen a few posts complaining that they can't use a VPN with it. Also special thanks to the T-Mobile rep who advised me on some of this when I got the service. If you're using PIA (and this may apply to your VPN as well), click the 3 dots, go to your settings, and do the following under the Connection tab: Make sure your protocol is OpenVPN Change your connection type to TCP Change your configuration method to Static After this, close the settings, and reconnect to your VPN. If using other software, make sure to save your settings if it does not automatically do so. It may take 1-5 minutes for your IP to change to your VPN. After this, google "what is my ip" and make sure it matches with your VPN. In my case, it took about 2 minutes for my IP to completely change over, even after my VPN client connected. Below are some pictures for those of you who aren't quite as savvy: I hope this helps anyone trying to use a VPN. I can't provide any support beyond this post, so best of luck.36KViews5likes22ComentariosNo voice service: Temporarily turned off by your carrier
I've been receiving this notification multiple times over the last two days. I looked online to see how to fix it. I've tried restarting my phone, checking the SIM to make sure it's in place, and turning on/off Airplane Mode. It's still showing up on my phone, and I noticed that my mobile data doesn't work when it does (no phone calls or internet when I'm not around wifi). For reference, I have a Motorola One 5G Ace. Can anyone help with this?34KViews0likes29ComentariosMapa de cobertura
Your map clearly show 5G coverage where I spent the day Saturday yet I had 0 bars, no service whatsoever. Also, 4 other guys that were with me that had T-Mobile also had 0 bars, no service whatsoever, and we all had different devices. All the other guys I spoke to said once they are out of highly populated areas they often get poor or no service. Please stop lying in your coverage map. Regardless, I'm done with your false claims and after my 2-year period I will be dropping T-Mobile coverage like yesterday's trash. You're service may be the least expensive of the big carriers but you consistently lie. Even at my house that shows clearly in 5G UC zone I have one maybe two bars of LTE. Your shenanigans not only lost you a customer but an advocate. I will never advocate for your service because you've done nothing to remedy the situation except to make false promises.29KViews6likes9ComentariosTrouble with connection to work VPN
I am using TMobile home internet with a 5G router. the connection appears fine until I connect to my work VPN(speed unusably slow). Other employees do not have the same issue using the same VPN and I have been working with IT. The VPN is using Cisco AnyConnect to aDTLS, SSL, TCP and UDP 443 endpoint. They are suggesting that there may be a problem at TMobile with the UDP traffic on port 443. could someone please verify this for me? thx24KViews2likes20Comentarios5G Home Internet nightly slow down
Hey all, I've had the black 5G gateway for a couple days now, and have been a T-Mobile customer for just as long. I guess the issue I'm having is looking like one that a lot of other people are as well. During the day my gateway pulls about 500 Mbps and has a "Very Good" signal. Without moving or changing anything about the setup, usage area, or anything, around 8PM Eastern my speeds go down to MAX 5 Mbps. Nothing has changed other than the time of the day. I have a ticket open for the "local engineering department" to troubleshoot. It'll randomly be good during the night and then go back to the unusable 5 Mbps. I relayed this to Customer Care, and while they seem sympathetic to the plight, they ultimately just want me to continuously restart the gateway so they can reconnect it to the tower because it has "stopped communicating." Is this the common reply that everyone is getting? Restart on restart while waiting for engineers to troubleshoot your wifi, only tothen get told you need to restart to be reconnected to the tower, and then ultimately a factory default when they've exhausted their checklist?20KViews17likes63Comentariostmobile home internet keeps disconnecting

I was told the 5G inseego MiFi 2000 would work with anything and would allow me to play Xbox One on it. I ended up connecting with my phone and laptop but unable to do so with my Xbox. I ended up messaging inseego because I thought it was an inseego issue. They replied to me saying this: "Hello, The issue you are seeing is a result of some backend network handling changes made on the T-Mobiles side for their 5G network. Forcing the M2000 to 4G only is a possible fix for the issue while it is being worked out. This can be done with the following steps. First, on a device connected to the M2000 open a browser and navigate to 192.168.1.1 Once you land on this page sign-in in the top right corner. (By default the admin password will be the same as the default WiFi password if it has not been updated) Go to Settings > Advanced, the page you land on after clicking Advanced should be the Network tab, locateNetwork Mode Selection, change this from Auto toLTE/UMTS, save the changes at the bottom of the page. Reboot the M2000, this change may take a few minutes to take effect, retry the connection from your console. Here is how to get a hold of us if needed. Inseego Support Phone: 877-698-6481 Email:technicalsupportus@inseego.com" I switched to 4G LTE and was able to finally get online for the Xbox Multiplayer. I wouldn't of bought a 5G hotspot if I was going to have to only use 4G LTE. I got this because I'm away half the year due to work. Is T-Mobile going to have this issue fixed or will this be a continuous problem? If it won't be fixed, I'd probably go in a different direction regarding providers13KViews1like32Comentarios
