Gateway Sagemcom Fast 5688W

Hi! I need some help because mySagemcom Fast 5688W Gateway keeps turning off and on again. When it's on, it works just fine, but then my device disconnects and when I look over to my modem it's rebooting for no reason. It's happening at different times throughout the day so it's not due to the nighttime updates. I changed which outlet it was plugged into thinking maybe there was a short, but it's still doing it. Really frustrated because if it wasn't for the modem rebooting randomly throughout the day, I would have no complaints.Solved1.2KViews2likes5ComentariosArcadyan vs. Sagemcom to replace Nokia
I have the Nokia 5G21, and it's been more than satisfactory. Usually close to 100 mbps down, and 20-30 mbps up. The biggest complaint has been occasional signal drops.I have a Eero 6 mesh wifi, and I run a double NAT--almost everything runs through the Eero first. On the Nokia there are 12 wifi bands, and I can turn them all off. Lately it's been locking up a few times a dayand I've had to reboot it to get back online. I just got off the phone with T-Mobile and they'll replace it under warrantee. But it sounds like my local store has only the Sagemcom and the Arcadyan. Or I might be able to get a Nokia shipped. My first priority is not to loose any signal strength or quality. Which device is more likely to be able to reproduce the service we currently have? We connect to B66 and n41 bands, and all three devices say they connect to those. But the sagemcom lists many more bands than the Arcadyanor Nokiawhich might be better/stronger than what we're currently getting? Other priorities: Can I turn off the wifi broadcast through the web GUI or app, as I can with the Nokia? Or will either mesh with a dual bandEero 6? Still no bridge mode, right? I have theT-Mobile Home Internet Gateway (aka 5G Gateway) based on the Sagemcom chipset. Model: Sagemcom FAST5688W Firmware:SGJi10205-1.2.B4 It keeps selecting the most congested WiFi channel in our condo, it's very strange. Can I use the "Nater-Tater" config file approach (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8s3ZhGYEl2I) to change the WiFi config, similar to the Arcadyan KVD21 that Nate uses? Thank you in advance.499Visto1like0ComentariosInternet speeds slow after on Sagemcom after device upgrade
Originally on Nokia 5G21, modem stopped working, so was given aSagemcomFast 5688W. Since upgrading, internet speeds have tanked, I'm maxing out around 300Kb/s, so it takes about an hour to download a GB file. I can't find any QoS or other settings in the app, or any other way to get to an advanced settings screen. Has anyone found a way to manage connections beyond the default device/app interface?257Visto0likes1ComentarioSag FAST 5688W T-Life Device Error
After 3 or 4 days of the gateway being up I can't log into it via the T-Life app. Displays a Device Error message. I then have to reboot the gateway and wait 4-5 minutes for my network to come back up and watch for devices to show up in the connected list. Is this just limited to my gateway or is anyone else having the same issue??Solved199Visto0likes7Comentarios30 seconds to connect new clients to internet
When a new client connects to my Sagemcom 5688W gateway (i.e. to the wifi SSID broadcast by the gateway), it takes up to 30 seconds for the client to connect to the internet. During this ~30 second timeframe, the newly connected client gets DHCP and it can ping the gateway, but it cannot connect to the internet. This happens on all clients regardless of the client OS. This makes it impossible for some clients to connect to my wifi SSID (specifically, neither of my printers will connect because they time out before the gateway allows them to connect after 30 seconds, so I have to print like a caveman via USB). I tried factory resetting my gateway, no change. I called T-Mobile support, they sent me a replacement gateway, it has the same problems. In my home, I have a full 5g T-Mobile signal, no obstructions around the gateway, and no wifi interference (I have confirmed this with advanced wifi testing tools on Linux, and an Aruba UXI sensor). Does your gateway have the same problem?94Visto0likes2Comentarios
