I've been trying to use the G4AR gateway with my external antennas but see little improvement when connected.I have been using another provider's cellular modem with a T-Mobile sim (so same tower and provider) for 3 years with no reception issues. I called tech support and was told the antenna ports are for wi-fi reception in my house, not cellular. Can anyone confirm or refute support's statement?1.9KViews0likes24ComentariosHow do I get a modem with external antenna - G4AR
I am a new home internet user on 20 acres in S GA. I normally get decent signal from 1 tower. When it has issues though I am down. I cannot keep the service if I cannot fix. I am willing to install a 30' tower but I need some way to connect antenna to a modem. Current I have the black box mounted 18' up on side of home in a NEMA enclosure. Not good enough. How can I get a new modem and keep TMOBILE? -G4ARSolved296Visto0likes1ComentarioGateway sim card in a different router
I have read about how to add an external antenna to the KVD21 and am a little nervous. Instead, has anyone removed the SIM card from the KVD21 and put it in a different router that has antenna ports? Are there specific settings that are needed for this?Solved355Visto0likes1ComentarioFull configuration of DHCP and other network services
Is there a way to get into a configuration screen for theKVD21 5G Gateway? Ideally, I'd like to connect my gateway to an existing TP-Link router to supply wireless and DHCP. I can work around the wireless by giving theKVD21 5G Gateway a separate SSID than the router, but I don't see any way to get into DHCP and configure or disable it on the gateway. I understand that T-Mobile is looking for simplicity of use for the overwhelming number of users, and I certainly think that's commendable. Nonetheless, for those of us who understand the basics of networking, access to advanced features would be a major improvement.Solved4.9KViews0likes17Comentarios
