assurant claims
7 TopicsAssurant Nightmare!!!! Stay Away from this company.
Ok I filed a claim for My iPhone 15 pro max. Paid the Deductible and sent back the damaged phone. Keep a photo of the tracking. All of a sudden an 800.00 charge shows up for Non-returned device. After Getting a T-Mobile rep on the phone they put me on a three way call with Assurant. Low and behold they did receive the phone!!!!The T-Mobile Rep. tells me they put a hold on my account to wait two billing cycles to remove it. (How cant they take it off right then and there is ridiculous) Then T-Mobile takes 414.00 out of my account two weeks later. After calling T-Mobile AGAIN and I was told the First rep didn't do what he was supposed to due and I would have to wait 18 days for T-mobile to reverse the charge. Funny how they can take my money and it takes 18 days to put it back. I then made sure I deleted all form of payment methods off my account to block any more shenanigan's from T-Mobile's Flunkeys. Now I have to wait till I can get return calls from T-Mobile to, I guess check that things are being fixed and my 414.00 is returned.Moral of the Story….DO NOT USE ASSURANT!!!!!!81Visto0likes0ComentariosBeing charged for phone after returning back to Assurant...
I had and Iphone XR that was damage and I send to Assurant to get a replacement. I got the replacement back. But UPS lost my return and now I getting charges $299.40 because they didn't receive the return + $100 deductible. Total of $400. Now is nothing I can do because when I found out that they didn't received my return I was already bill for it but I found out to late, I can't make a claim in UPS because more than 60 days already pass.I still have the receipt that UPS gave you when you go in and give them the package but is useless now. This all feels like a scam to me. I just want to put out there for people to be careful when sending a return phone. Looks like I'm not the only one, I see other post same as me.380Visto1like3ComentariosAssurant found phone still isn’t activated
We lost our iPhone and filed a claim on a Tuesday. They sent us out a new phone, in the meantime we found the lost phone and sent the unopened replacement back to them. I've been trying to get them to reactivate my phone for 7 days and it's still not working. They keep telling me they need to forward paperwork to their supervisors. Why is it talking so long?? Is this normal? They so quickly deactivated it with the touch of a button, but reactivating it takes forever. Doesn't make sense.84Visto0likes0ComentariosHow can I become eligible for applecare after having tmobile insurance? Please help
When i first purchased my phone, I stupidly agreed to getting the tmobile phone insurance. I am looking to switch to apple care but I keep running into an issue that my iPhone 13 is not eligible for applecare insurance. The cancellationwill not update in my iPhone's settings (Settings - General - About - Apple Care Services), which arestill showing Apple Care coverage (through T-Moble) and thus isprohibiting me from getting Apple Care from Apple instead of T-Mobileduring the initial 60 day period! Hopefully it will update at some point within the 60 day period so that I can undo my mistake of getting T-Mobile insurance initially instead of just getting Apple Care+ from Apple (which is cheaper). I have called T-Mobile about this about 5 times, was told to go to a T-Mobile store and they could fix it, and was told at the T-Mobile store that they could do nothing. Any tips?551Visto0likes1ComentarioNeed advice regarding Assurant
Hopefully I can shrink this into a cohesive question. I am currently in Wichita working a project. I took a fall down stairs and landed on my phone. "I can actually say that Apple saved my butt" My iPhone was shattered and bent. I also fell hard enough to shatter my laptop screen while it was in my backpack… I went to the local T-Mobile store and inquired what my options were. I carry insurance but with work I could not really go without a phone. I talked to an Assurant agent on the phone and had to put the brakes on her real fast. She wanted to flip through her guide and ship me a replacement to my house 1300 miles away. I told her I had to have a phone where I was and would assurant credit me or pay me the value of my phone in lieu of replacement. I got complete silence. Tried to explain the situation again and got I'm sorry and more silence… In the end I had to buy an new iPhone 14 outright and pay an activation fee. Before I call customer service and assurant again, Do you guys think this was the proper outcome or did the local T-Mobile agents or Assurant customer service drop the ball? Did I have other options that were not offered to me? ¡Gracias!120Visto0likes2Comentariosdamaged cell phone returned
Hello. I am incredibly sorry that you did not receive the damage cell phone but I did everything the same way I always do when returning a damaged cell phone I dropped it in the drop box at the post office same one I always use. So with all due respect I do not owe money to the company.96Visto0likes1Comentario
