I'mso utterly annoyed, my blood is boiling, I pay for this protection 360 junk, to be on chat with them Assurant and T-Mobilefor a couple hours while I'm working, for them to say Ihave apple extended warranty, and I HAVE to go through apple, WHAT!?!? WHY!?!? I DO NOT PAY APPLE FOR INSURANCE!!! I already knew what apple was going to do, of course charge me for the repair, and they sure did, $100 to fix a damaged screen??? So livid, I'vealready escalated this matter with T-Mobile, I will give them one chanceto make this right, if I do not get reimbursed for my $100 I will take all 5 of my lines and go straight to their competitors. This is unacceptable and I won't let it stand.46Visto0likes0ComentariosDevice 360 for apple is a rip off and pain
Ok so has anyone else had to deal with this much to replace a phone?? For the past 10-15 yrs through all different cell providers, I've still had assurant as the insurance in the past. It was nice and simple. You file a claim you pay the deductible. They send you a new phone you send yours back done not this time!!! So I went to file a claim and assurants web site through T-Mobile they tell me I'm eligible for AppleCare services ok something new (for me) so I get transferred to their site to file claims nothing worked like it was supposed to first I get told I have to pay full price for a replacement because it's so badly damaged so that's not right because why am I paying for this insurance if I have to pay all this money for a new phone anyways so then I start a chat with Apple and they told me I actually have applecare plus so they can do the replacement it's like 100 bucks I have an IPhone 13 Pro Max so he tells me there's gonna be two charges on my card. One is an authorization hold hold for the full replacement value of the phone and the second is the actual charge for the replacement so over $1000!!! Pay all that they mail you a new phone you sent back your old one and the authorization hold drops!!! OK what about people who don't have uh all that money to be held for days on end or just flat out don't have that much money so then they tell me the only other option is to go into an Apple store doesn't matter if you live near one or not you better figure it out!! in my case. The closest Apple store is an hour each way so it's not too bad, but this is my son's phone that he broke that he has to pay for. He's 17 he works almost full-time and goes to school. I have a life so we have to figure out when we're both available to be gone for a minimum of three hours, probably maybe longer!! Whatever we will get it done but the point is what if somebody doesn't drive and lives in a rural area or a smaller town Apple stores are only in big cities and they don't have that kind of money to be held?? I just feel like this is a lot of headache to be paying for every month. There's all these new insurance companies out here and honestly there's one that starts with an a they will cover your phone and up to 25 other personal items for less than I've been paying!! And you don't have to deal with the hassle of going anywhere. It's all done through the mail likes the way it used to be was just a deductible. I just feel like this is too much now expecting people to put down that kind of money or find a way to go to an Apple store, so in my case Assurant and T-Mobile lost a customer for their insurance that's a very big chunk of change considering that it's me and four of my children that all have phones!! I might have stayed if it was the way it used to be but not with all of these problems. I'm glad I looked into other alternative choices. Not to mention the person I was talking to with Apple said that I could get AppleCare plus directly through them for cheaper than through assurant or T-Mobile!! so I found a company I like the better because they cover other stuff but otherwise you're better off to just get AppleCare plus it's way cheaper I guess I want to say about seven or eight dollars a month. I might be off a few dollars but it's way cheaper than insurance through T-Mobile and they cover pretty much the same stuff!! Sorry for my super long rant, but hopefully it save some people some money to get the hell away from what their pitching!!1.3KViews1like2ComentariosUPS LOST MY RETURNED PHONE, I GOT CHARGED $1500. I AM FINISHED.
SInce May 2024 I have been charged for a phone I sent to Tmobile with assurant via UPS. T-Mobile said it could not find it and I got charged. I have all the tracking numbers. I have a picture of the phone in the box with the IMEI with of the bad phone that I sent back. I've weighed a like phone in the same type box and the weight of the box+phone+ wrapping is about the same 1.2 pounds. T-mobile has the same receipt from UPS. T-Mobile won't let me send the contemporaneous pictures. It says because it can't trace the IMEI of the bad phone I am still liable. It has the relationship with UPS. I Don't (Ever try to get anything from UPS????) How long does it take someone in the Philippines to make the $1500 they are charging me. And, by the way, why do I have to be patiently waiting there? I need a place in the US to talk to someone. We have 10 phones and After 27 years with Nextel and Sprint and great service, now I got shunted into T-Mobile and it looks like time for a divorce. Geez they held up the entire staffs' phones for their error. Not a happy camper.Solved139Visto1like8Comentariosassurant insurance is a scam!
I can't even begin to tell the story because it is infuriating, but it isn't any different than the horrible experiences reported by so many others here and across the internet on what a lying, horrible, rip off scam assaurant is. They cost me so much in lost time and money and it's disgusting that T-Mobile would partner with such a gross business… and a terrible reflection on T-Mobile. I've been with T-Mobile EASILY OVER 10 years, during which time I've payed out hundreds, if not thousands of $ for insurance coverage and have *never* filed a claim. And the one time I do it was such a horrible process I ended up having to buy a new phone from T-Mobile anyway just so I can do my job! it is a disgusting scam. Shame on T-Mobile for lying to customers about assurant and basically coercingthem to use it as if there are no other options. Buyer beware. Take pictures of everything and save as much as you can. Even the reps who helped me get a new phone at the T-Mobile store told me the insurance is a scam!!!966Visto4likes1ComentarioBeing charged for phone after returning back to Assurant...
Hi there, I'm having a really stressful time right now getting the run around from T-Mobile and Assurant regarding a phone claim I have. The Merchant Return Labal states: PERMIT NO. 395 LANCASTER, PA Assurant YORK PA, 17402 625 WILLOW SPRINGS LANE STE A; RMA # 405-32835102-3. I've been charged 300$ on my phone bill, despite returning this phone almost a month ago. When I call up Assurant they state the warehouse still hasn't recieved it. I feel like I'm being taken advantage of for a mistake on Assurant's end, and T Mobile says they can't refund the money on my bill. I'm literally at a loss for words, I sent it and feel like it's 100% their responsibility for not receiving it, what should I do?Solved19KViews7likes64ComentariosAbsolutely Terrible Experience with Assurant - Avoid Them at All Costs!
I recently dealt with Assurant, and I cannot express how utterly disappointed and frustrated I am with their abysmal customer service. My ordeal began when I needed a replacement phone, and it took a whopping ten days for Assurant to deliver it, turning what should have been a straightforward process into a never-ending nightmare. First and foremost, their customer service representatives were a nightmare. It was as if they had no regard for the fact that I had been without a functioning phone for a week and a half. I was met with incompetence, indifference, and a complete lack of urgency on their part. Basic customer service etiquette was an alien concept to them. But the horror didn't stop there. After receiving the replacement phone, I was slapped with a jaw-dropping $500+ "no return phone fee" on my T-Mobile bill, which Assurant was supposed to take care of after I returned the damaged device. Despite my return of the phone and multiple follow-ups, Assurant is forcing me to wait through not one but two billing cycles before removing this fee from my T-Mobile bill. This careless delay in resolving the issue cost me time, energy, and significant money. I am appalled by Assurant's utter disregard for their customers' time and peace of mind. They prioritize their bureaucratic processes over the needs and satisfaction of the people they serve. It's astounding that a company with such a terrible customer service track record can operate in today's market or serve T-Mobile customers. In conclusion, my experience with Assurant has been nothing short of a nightmare. I strongly advise anyone considering their services to think twice and explore other options. Their poor customer service, excessive delays, and lack of accountability make them a company I will never ever deal with again. Save yourself the frustration and anguish, and avoid Assurant at all costs.3.8KViews13likes21ComentariosAssurant will not let me get my screen repaired
I have a Samsung S20 FE 5G & I cracked the glass but not the screen, I went to file a claim & Assurant won't give me the option to have my phone repaired at the CPR store in town even though they said they could if I had my claim code. The difference is a New Phone at $99 deductible or repair the screen at $29, of course they want me to replace my phone but I have tons of music on my phone I don't want to lose & why can't I just get it repaired? They have given me the run around whe calling saying there's not a center in my area & then when I said there is they said they cannot fix my model, even though the store told me they can.3KViews2likes11ComentariosAssurant return damaged device package Empty!!
I have been a customer of Tmobile for the last 16 years and have filed 3 claims 2 damaged phones and 1 stolen. I have paid $4,608.00 in total for insurance on my devices. $42,240.00 for phone service. I am beyond upset and no is not even the amount I am erroneously being charged by assurant through T-mobile. But is the scam that assurant is able to get away with! This is my story, I accidentally damaged my phone in September and filed a claim with assurant for this phone to be replaced, my claim was approved next day and I received my replacement. I sent the damaged phone back to assurant on September 14th and received a notification it was received September 17th in their York PA warehouse. I received a letter in November stating phone was not received, so I called assurant and their Rep stated that they had actually received the phone but the package had not been scanned in. Then I get a charge on my T-Mobileaccount in December stating assurant never received their damaged device. I call assurant and again I am told the device was received but the packaged had not been scanned. I wait a week and call again and now another rep is telling me the package I sent was empty and it was received empty, so I ask why would I claim a damaged phone and then keep it. Why would I send an empty package and taken the time to tape it and mail it and track it just so I could be told package was received but it is empty so you have to pay full price for a refurbished phone replacement. This is definitely a scam and there is no way that our packages arrive empty. It makes no sense my phone was literally in pieces due to car accident who would steal a damaged phone that had no use. Please T-Mobile investigate assurant and please find another insurance provider for your customers.3.4KViews8likes32ComentariosTmobile 360 Insurance & Assurant = False Promises
I strongly advise not to get Tmobile insurance, don't make the mistake I did... It sounded good 4 years ago, when Applecare didn't have lost & stolen option... So last week at the end of July in 2023, I needed to replace my battery it's at 77% health... Tmobile store sends me to Apple store, I was told that I have to go back to Tmobile since the phone is older than 2 years (normally they would replace it or install new fresh battery at 100% health). I go back to Tmobile, waited 20 mins for help... they order me a phone. They didn't notify me that it was ready for pickup, so 4 days later I went in inquiring about it, they check and had it there the entire time... $5 for the exchange of phone cost, also it's a refurb... I asked if the battery was new, they said it was... then told me the transfer backups will take more than 6 hours, had to come in next day in the morning, because they don't allow you to take the phone home to do the transfer... So after leaving my personal phone for like 6 hours there, they call me up the transfer completed and you can pickup the phone... Got there, checked everything out only to realize the refurb battery health was only at 78%... 1% better than my phone! I was shocked, a bit angry, and couldn't believe I wasted this much time on this BS process... I wanted to yell at the top of my lungs, but held it in store, my face was probably super red... I asked the Tmobile rep, why is the phone battery not new... why couldn't they replace the battery of my old phone with a new one instead, and if I could just annul this whole process and keep my old phone... Their policy is they can't do that and that they can only order another phone (refurb probably again) and that I would basically have to count my luck on the lottery that the battery will be better than both these current phones.... They can't help with anything else, besides me having to call 611 or corporate to grieve about my issue... Which I had to and the options I have are either they can replace the phone again, get an upgrade (i don't want to till the 15 comes out), or go to a 3rd party repair shop to get an estimate... a weekend past and I'm still waiting for a call back... and I'm asking myself why I paid $18/mon for 4+ years just so I have to go through this BS process and do all this work myself?!... Oh on top of that my google authenticator info didn't transfer over when they asked me to erase my old phone... I spent the last two days trying to get apps (tesla, banking & financial, etc) and accounts (email, software, etc) to get resolved and log back into them... (Don't do Google Authenticator! Go with SMS text (they say less secure, you'll thank me as it's much easier in life and I think with all the hacking, it's still plenty safe) otherwise, those who won't let you do phone #/SMS, go with Microsoft 2FA or 2FAS for iPhone). Next phone upgrade, will be Applecare+ w/lost & stolen option directly with Apple! I apologies for the long TLDR post/rant!, I just had so much stress and things going wrong over a week, just over a simple battery replacement... Besides all this mumbo-jumbo, I still think with my grandfathered plan, T-Mobile has an excellent phone plan pricing for my family and I, but their customer service in store sux and same with their upgrades (need to upgrade to the latest plan +add lines) went downhill over the pandemic!586Visto3likes3ComentariosAssurant will not send replacement. T-Mobile is no help
I lost my phone 2 weeks ago. I filed online with Assurant via T-Mobile website, and my claim was approved immediately. Assurant shipped overnight a replacement device with FedEx. Since then, everyday I spent hours goingto FedEx store and T-Mobile store to contact FedEx customer service and Assurant to try to get the replacement phone. I got the full run around experience between Assurant telling me to contact FedEx because FedEx has my package, and FedEx telling me to contact Assurant to confirm shipping address. Assurant even tried to get T-Mobile Care involved, and T-Mobile Care was no help at all. Currently package is stuck at FedEx in progress to be returned to sender (I have email confirmation from FedEx), but Assurant continues to tell me to go home and wait for package to arrive next day or contact FedEx. At this rate, I will never get this replacement phone. Since i need a phone for work, plus contact families and friends for holidays and setting up travel plan, I may have to leave T-Mobile after 20+ years with them, and go to Verizon…especially considering I am paying for monthly phone service and monthly insurance fee that I haven't been able to use for 2 weeks and this can last up to several months602Visto0likes1Comentario
