cellular data
20 TopicsMy T-Mobile data isn’t working
I have an iPhone 12 pro max (it's on the latest IOS version)that can make and receive calls and texts, but the cellular data won't work at all for things like Safari, social media, or any other app that requires a connection. It's been this way for two days now, and I have done everything I can possibly think of to try and fix it. I've turned airplane mode and cellular data on and off (and given them time to disconnect and reconnect the cellular data), I've restarted my phone multiple times (and given it time to reconnect to everything), reset the network settings, taken the SIM card out and then put it back in, and also left it alone last night to see if it would fix itself, but it still won't work. I consistently have two bars of service, and had two bars of service regularly before it started doing this, as well, and it also says T-Mobile LTE in the top right hand corner like it normally does. If you don't try to get on anything that requires data, the phone seems perfectly normal, but it started doing this out of nowhere. I'm on the same plan as my siblings and parents, and their phones are all working perfectly fine (and they are not connected to Wi-Fi). I am currently connected to our Wi-Fi, which is the reason I can type this out, but our Wi-Fi is not nearly as fast as my cellular data normally is, and it constantly kicks me off of things, which is why I'd like to get this fixed as soon as possible. I was just wondering if anyone had any suggestions other than a factory reset or going to a T-Mobile location in order to have it looked at. ¡Gracias!Solved24KViews2likes16ComentariosHow to receive QR Code for eSim?
Hi! I recently purchased a pre-paid eSIM for my iPhone XS Max, and I was able to successfully set it up and activate it. However, after a week abroad and having my phone on airplane mode and experiencing issues with my (Verizon) Primary line, I decided to remove the (T-Mobile) cellular data plan and reconfigure it. Is there any way I can receive a QR code to set it up again? I already tried using the T-Mobile eSIM app, and it said it would only work for activating new lines, not setting up already activated ones. Please help! It's been such a struggle. For no apparent reason I can't use certain apps such as Youtube, Instagram, Snapchat, Twitter, certain websites on Google. Whatsapp takes a few minutes to load messages. This all happens when I'm on cellular. I've tried restarting I did that thing where you #263#. I literally factory reset my phone. Please somebody help me.3KViews0likes7ComentariosTower upgrades taking weeks to complete?
I started having issues a couple of days ago and when I called they stated that the towers in my area are being upgraded. I asked how long this would take as I had no service for several days. They stated 3 to 4 weeks! How is this acceptable in this day and age for technology upgrades to takes weeks and deny service to customers? I should have said this is a safety issue as I could not reliable make calls and if I had an emergency how could I expect to get help. This is a sad state of affairs T-Mobile.2.9KViews4likes9ComentariosLoss of Cellular data for apps
Anyone else having issues with no celluar data for Apps? Spent over 8 hours on the phone between T-Mobile and Apple and 2 hours in the store. Changed SIM cards and still no resolution. Strange thing is when the SIM was moved to another working phone, the working phone would also no longer work. However if the working phone SIM was added to the non-working phone it worked perfect. Replaced SIM 2x and also did ESIM - still unable to resolve the issue. Issue in on Iphone 12 however while at the store 3 others came in …all with phones Iphone 12 or older. So annoying!!! Please need a resolution, we have tried everything from resetting the network and the phone itself, T-Mobile even suspened the line and restored it and still no resolution.2.7KViews2likes8Comentarioscellular data not working for iphone 13 pro
Off and on since I switched from Verizon last year to T mobile, I've had problems with my phone connecting/using the cellular data when the Wi-fi is turned off (I have the Magenta plan, no blocks, I am the account owner, etc). This is for an iphone 12 pro. I called T mobile early on(last year) and they did something on their end that fixed the problem temporarily. However, the problem would intermittently reoccur, and I had to toggle Airplane mode at least a few days a week to get the cellular data to work again. So that's basically what I've been doing for the past 1 year (smh) As of this past Monday, the previous workaround I mentioned above is no longer working. Now, my phone will not work at allwith cellular data. When I'm on Wi-fi, everything is fine. But with Wi-fi off, nothing works. This is with 4 bars, 5G UC, in an area with supposed good service, iOS up to date, VPN is off. Other people around me with T mobile are not having this problem. I can make phone calls and send text messages just fine. It's specifically No cellular data I spent2 hours on the phone two days ago and againyesterday with Tech Support. We tried switching to an eSim, which did not work. Then they told me to get a new physical SIM card. I went into a local T mobile store and they switched it out for a new one. Didn't work. Then they told me it was my phone and that I needed to upgrade. Went ahead and did the upgrade (now have a brand new iphone 13 pro), and a new SIM card was put in, and still the same problem. We tried doing a troubleshoot where they put a SIM card from a demo in-store device into my phone and everything worked no problem (meaning that the phone itself is fine). We also took my new SIM card and put it into a demo in-store device and it was not working Therefore, it seems that there is somethingon the account/system end that is causing a problem. The representatives have looked through my account and don't see any problems. No blocks. Web guard is turned off. We even tried switching Plans from Magenta to Essentials to see if this would work. Still no fix to the problem. Now I have a ticket in with the support team and am supposed to wait for them to call me back (can take up to 3 days). So now I am just waiting in limbo without my cellular data working. Has anyone been through a similar problem and found a solution?? I am definitely very frustrated and need an answer soon. I am starting to think the only solution is to switch to a different company Please help!2.5KViews4likes6Comentariosupload and download speeds all over the place on 5GUC and T-Mobile Internet over 5G UC
Now a month intoT-Mobile Magenta Max and 5G Home Internet. Happy to bye-bye my cable provider. What I don't understand is the minute-to-minute changes in both upload and download speeds. I normally have 3 out of 5 bars on both my iPhone 13 and my Internet Gateway. I am attaching a list of speeds from my computer with a wired connection to the gateway. On my phone, I use OpenSignal app to track speeds on cellular data. I may get over 500 Mbps down and 30 up and then some time later it will be 30 down and 6 up. Bad weather/rain does degrade my service. What is weird is that the upload and download speeds don't consistently parallel each other. All my measurements are made when nothing else into the house such as streaming TV is not running.1.2KViews0likes4ComentariosNot routing on band n41
About a month ago, my HINT stopped passing internet traffic. I checked the status and found that I was now connected on band n41 (always n71 before). I assumed they had upgraded my tower and contacted T-Mobile via Facebook. They confirmed the tower was having maintenance but that "parts were missing." Three weeks later, they said the maintenance was complete. Still no HINT for me. They told me it could take another 10 days for it to start working. Apparently magic was supposed to happen. My Nokia hotspot is still locked on band n41. Signal strength is usually better than -90 but sometimes goes to nothing. When doing a trace route, I get one hop beyond the hotspot, so I'm hitting the tower, and nothing more. I've tried to explain to T-mobile that there seems to be a routing issue with band n41 not getting routedbut they have no understanding of the issue. My cell phone doesn't connect to band n41 and has no internet issues. There's not much left for me to do besides cancel as I've had no service for a month and T-mobile is content to do nothing. I asked for them to escalate the problem or open a new ticket with excuses that equated to "no". I thought I'd check here for any ideas.699Visto0likes7ComentariosWhats Going On Lately With The Poor T-Mobile Internet Service???
