Here's my question and i think I'll call my local congressman and or congresswoman. T-Mobile has removed the auto-pay discountfeature if you choose to pay with a credit card in lieu of a debit card. Their reasoning is the charge that CC companies charge a fee. That fee is like 3.5% maybe and that may be on the high side and that is the full percentage cost for a one-time charge. So my bill is about $120 with the 3.5% fee would be $4.20. With T-Mobile's plan they are NOW CHARGING ME an extra $20 a month because i choose not to link my bank account to pay my bill. How is this even FAIR? THIS IS EXTORTION! I ENCOURAGE EVERYONE TO CALL YOUR LOCAL LEGISLATURES AND INFORM THEM OF THIS HIWAY ROBBERY THAT IS GOING ON WITH T-MOBILE.4.8KViews0likes7ComentariosAutoPay Change Causes Us to Lose Phone Insurance Benefits
By forcing autopay users to pay with a bank account or debit card we are going to lose the phone insurance provided by our credit cards. In my case I get a $40/month autopay discount. So I have to choose between an extra $480/year or the phone insurance on my credit card. I understand that credit card processing is more expensive than bank or debit, and I'd be happy to pay an extra 3% of my balance to pay by credit card (and thereby keep my credit card insurance benefits), but $40/month is extortionary. Can T-Mobile please reconsider this policy, and perhaps keep the autopay by credit card option for a small surcharge instead of the $40/month that I'd have to pay? How is it that the FCC would allow T-mobile to start up-charging their customers if they're using a credit card which provides certain protections against fraud? T-mobile allowed my information to be compromised a year ago and I'm still dealing with the issues every day in the form of scam calls, texts and emails. But now T-mobile wants access to my bank account???!!! Definitely considering changing carriers. That is the most absurd business decision they have made. I believe everyone that had their information stolen because of T-mobile's lack of security should pursue legal action against the company! Defnitely a class action lawsuit viable for their lack of privacy protection and lack of response to the issues experienced by those who were the true victims in this matter.109Visto0likes3ComentariosCredit Card payments
T-Mobile eliminating the discount for credit card payments is a REALLY bad business decision. It means T-mobile is struggling financially, and penalizing its customers for it. Bad look T-mobile. Forcing us to give up the credit card payments by penalizing us with eliminating discounts is NOT the right way to go. My credit card offers protections for lost/broken phones which I will not have with other payments. Additionally, I want to be able to have the choice of deciding which payment option I have. Eliminating the discount for credit card payments is not giving us a choice, it is penalizing us for credit card payments. The question is: how much longer is T-mobile going to be financially solvent? Time to start looking at other phone companies. Really sad, T-mobile was such a good company.47Visto1like0Comentariosdisappointed - doing away with the credit card autopay discount.
I am very disappointedthat you are doing away with the credit card autopay discount. As you seem to be concerned with "security" - thats the first thing i see when i login.. I do not own a Debit Card and I don't give out my Bank information. And before anyone says the Credit card companies increased the %.. the increase of credit card fees (based on my bill) would be $9.25.. why then am i losing $20?147Visto4likes4Comentarios
