I'm going on a cruise to the eastern caribbean and want to know if I'll be charged to use my data or make phone calls while at the various ports. From what I have previously read - I shouldn't use my phone [put it in airplane mode] while on the ship itself and that is fine. But what about while in the ports? The ports are: Puerto Rico, Dominican Republic, U.S. Virgin Islands, St. Kitts, Antigua and St. Maarten. Thanks for any input :)Solved39KViews2likes5ComentariosCoverage on Royal Caribbean Cruse
Hi everyone, I will be taking a cruise to Mexico on Royal Caribbean's Navigator of the Seas ship. I don't see it on being covered on T-Mobile's site, so I am wondering if I would have access to any sort of data on the ship and if there would be a cost associated with it. Thank you all in advance.Solved10KViews0likes8ComentariosAlaska Cruise - International Roaming 10 Day Pass
Elderly parents are on an Alaskan cruise currently with 10 day International Roaming plan per the rep's recommendation. She told me that they would have data on the ship and Alaska and Canada with the International Roaming plan ($35/line or $70 for 2 lines). I confirmed twice with her and she sent a text with her "personal" guarantee. Today, I got a text that my parent's $80+ in international call charges for each line?? That's close to $300 for the charges and the International Roaming. I thought for sure it was a mistake, bc I activated International Roaming before their cruise started. I messaged them to put on airplane mode while we figure this out. It's been 6 hours and still no call from the supervisor. When I call into Tmobile, they won't address my issue because it's already been assigned to a supervisor. I"m finding online that parents' ship - Discovery Princess is NOT covered, contrary to what the rep told me. I'm not sure if this is true whether you bought the International Roaming package or not. Help! Any advice? What is actually covered for International Roaming? If they just put on airplane mode on the ship, but turn back on while on land - do they even need International Roaming? Any help is much appreciated!!Solved4.6KViews0likes4ComentariosInternational Travel - What does Magenta MAX Plans Cover?
Hello, everyone! Next month, my friends and I will be traveling to Europe for about two weeks. We will be using Delta Airlines and will also be taking a Royal Caribbean cruise for one of the two weeks. The countries that we will be visiting will include: Italy Greece Croatia France I recently switched to T-Mobile last week and am currently on the Magenta Max plan. While the representative that assisted me at the store was very informative, I realized belatedly that I had forgotten to ask a few questions in regards to how my plan will keep me connected during my trip. I have done a few searches on the website, but I feel like it doesn't fully answer the questions that I have unless I am somehow overlooking it. The website mentions GoGo InFlight Wi-Fi - assuming that my flights allows me to utilize this, will it be unlimited or just one hour of usage? There would be 5 flights in two weeks, so if they all have this would that cover all flights or is there a limit to how many times I could use it? The website also says that for Magenta Max plans, I would give unlimited data and text and low-rate calling while traveling abroad for the aforementioned countries - is this true? Would there be any additional fees for using my data or texting? I am not sure how roaming works. Would I still have service during the cruise? I'm sure it may be spotty as there would be a few days at sea, but would it still somewhat work? I assume it would also have unlimited data and text and low-rate calling, but I have the same question about additional fees. And again, no idea how roaming works. Are there additional charges I should be concerned about? I apologize for the many questions and wordiness of my post. I just want to be sure I am prepared in advance. Thank you to whoever takes the time to read this and answer any of my questions!3.6KViews0likes4ComentariosI am going on cruise to the carribean on norwegian gem- what should I do to be ale to get data for emails and text?

Pase internacional
Be very careful when purchasing an international pass. It's a bit of a scam when it comes to cruises. They don't apply. Be sure not to waste your money because they charges are astronomical compared to international. Nowhere on the contract does it warn you about it not apply to cruise, SO THIS IS YOUR WARNING. I was not only charged for the pass but also for whatever the cruise ship charged T-mobile, though my contract was not with the cruise ship nor did any of the paperwork tell me this information.835Visto0likes4ComentariosCruise ship--Princess cruising
Hi! I know this question has been asked, but I can't find the specific answers to my questions. My Magenta plan includes unlimited data, text, e-mail for travel to Canada. Here's what I'm having trouble with--the Tmobile plan states "when traveling to Canada or Mexico on your plan, no setup required..." But everyone else states we have to put our phones in airplane mode once we embark the ship. We're traveling from our hometown of Boston to Canada so when do I put the phone in airplane mode? If our plan states "no set-up necessary," do we even need to do airplane mode? And when we are in a Canadian port, do we take the phones out of airplane mode and then turn it back on when re-embarking the ship? This is so confusing!!! What about kids' tablets? Do we need to do anything with those? Would love some help on this one from someone who has cruised from the U.S. to Canada. Thank you!!Solved699Visto0likes3ComentariosUnanswered SPAM calls on cruise ship
When on a cruise ship and connected to Celluar at Sea - Here is how I think I get charged. I have Magenta MAX Plus Iphone. Incoming text - free Outgoing text 50 cents unless photo then $1.30 Outgoing phone call $5.99 a minute? Incoming phone calls - If my phone rings and I have the option - answer or ignore - and I press ignore - do I get charged for 1 minute? If the caller ID says SPAM call and I ignore - will I get charged? If I select on a Iphone - Silence Unknown Callers - my phone never rings but they are sent to voicemail. Do I get charged for that? I just switched from ATT and they never charged for incoming calls that were unanswered - even those sent directly to voice mail. Not sure about T mobiile - can't find the rules. With as ofter as you get SPAM I want to not pay for SPAM but still have my phone able to accept calls from relatives...Solved311Visto0likes6Comentarios
