I have been having issues with Tidal streaming on my Samsung S24 since February '24. I have determined that the data that Tidal is using to stream music is being recognized as "hotspot data" by T-Mobile. Each carrier billing cycle the T-Mobile system sends me a message stating I have hit my hotspot data cap. At that time Tidal becomes extremely slow and encounters buffering issues. All of my other applications work perfectly fine, I have unlimited data with my T-Mobile plan (Magenta Max55+), but for some reason, Tidal is using hotspot data or its data usage is being miscategorized as hotspot data. On my phone hotspot data usage reported is 0GB month over month. I never use my hotspot. Something weird is going on here, I am not sure if it is on the Tidal side in how it requests data or on the T-Mobile. I need help in having this issue investigated and escalated to the appropriate parties (Either at Tidal, T-Mobile, or maybe even Samsung). I have attempted to inform T-Mobile but they their phone support seems ill-equipped to handle uncommon technical problems. I am not sure if this will ever be resolved. I suppose in T-mobiles eyes this would be like a "P4" priority. Unless there is some security risk involved I doubt they will care. We've been experiencing local T-Mobile connectivity issues for the past week. Calling Customer Care isn't an option because my phone can't register on the darn network. It's pretty annoying that there isn't a web-based or other form to submit to alert T-Mobile to check our local tower for capacity or performance issues. So perhaps this will work!23Visto0likes0ComentariosInternet strength
I just set my internet up. It says strength is good. It is in an excellent place in a window, not facing sun; however a porch roof over the window. I'd like the "excellent" strength of course. I can't move it to another window because not long enough cords. I've tried an "extender" before when with another service butcouldn't get it to work. Any ideas? I called last night and support was excellent. Just don't want to spend time on phone. I am hoping this is good with streaming as my other computer is 70 ft. away from the wireless item from Tmobile251Visto1like6ComentariosWhat's Up with the Internet
I've had the 5G ultra for three weeks and it worked great. Then the day I upgraded to a 5G phone the 5G service disappeared from my area in Buchanan, Mi. No internet for two days now. The tech support from India was not great. I told them I had no signal, they hung up me. I tried again and they treated me like a two-year old that knows nothing about electronics. Finally after doing all the BS they asked I told them again there was no signal and they put in a trouble ticket. I also called the local T-Mobile store and they too hung up on me. Totally frustrated with T-Mobile and I am thinking about going back to Comcast even though it costs three times as much. I feel like I am in the T-Mobile Twilight Zone. I suppose they will keep charging me for the internet service even though I am not getting any signal.88Visto0likes1Comentario
