12 TopicsWill my child or the caller know if I block a number from their phone?
Without making too many details…..My child is in communication with another, "cool" child, who is talking her into doing….less than savory or legal things. I know there's only so much I can do, but I'd like to block this other child's number using the Family Allowances, as I have very nearly had it at this point. I'm afraid of there being a blow-up if shereceives some kind of notification that a number has been blocked. I would rather she just not know, and for the person calling/texting to also not know. Even if it's only a temporary fix, allow them to think that one has ghosted the other. If I block this number from this phone, is that it? I know it sounds silly, but I'm paranoid since I don't want any more of this drama. There's been enough of it already.2.3KViews1like11ComentariosPermiso familiar
Using family allowances I used to be able to turn sons phone off when needed, not just data, but made it where he couln't use phone at all at night. I can turn data and wifi off but need to make it where he can't make calls all through the night. This feature used to be available now it is not.Solved1.4KViews0likes5ComentariosFamily Allowances missing, can't block messages from single phone numbers anymore
Family Allowances has apparently become family controls, and no longer allows certain numbers to be restricted from contacting you. Where did this go? How do I prevent a specific number from calling or texting me? I have the family feature checked where Netflix and the other services are. I'm also the primary account holder. I have done this before but now the option is missing.Solved1KViews0likes6Comentarios“you are unable to make calls at this time” #FamilyAllowances
I added Family Allowances and was trying to not allow my son's line to make calls after 9PM. It's 11:53AM, and my phone can't make calls. I'm given a stupid message that I can't make calls or send texts. per usual customer service is trash. They had me reset my network settings and promised to call me back. But they haven't.663Visto0likes1ComentarioFamily Allowances Error removing Limit device access times
Trying to remove a few time periods selected on Family Allowances Limit device access times on our kid's phones. Always get an error for about a month now. It used to work, but now they are stuck being limited during those times. https://my.t-mobile.com/account/profile/family_controls/allowances/dashboard Error Message: We're having some trouble. I just switched my familyfrom Verizon to T-Mobile. One of my phones is an Android for my mother who is a dementia patient in assisted living. To keep her safe from scammers, Verizon had a family app that allowed me to restrict both incoming and outgoing calls and texts to a specific list of numbers that I set up in the app, what used to be called a "White List". If the number is on this list, the call wasallowed to connect, if it's not on the list, it was blocked. T-Mobile told me their Family Allowances service does the same thing, but I have not been able to make it work and, sadly, no one at T-Mobile Tech Support can figure it out either. The Family Allowances Dashboard looks like the functionality is there, but obviously, there are serious flaws in the programing behind itthat is preventing it from functioning as intended. Has anyone out there been able to make Family Allowances work as I have described it? If not, are you aware of third party apps that work?99Visto0likes0ComentariosHelp with kids allowance
whats is the best way to monitor my child's phone? She has been on apps that she should not be using. I have currently taken away her phone but don't like that she gets home from school and has no phone ( we canceled the landline). I need to pretty much cut off all usage of the phone other than phone calls.86Visto0likes2ComentariosAllowable Calls
We have an adult son with Special Needs. We supply him with a phone, and we only allow him to have it to communicate with 10 people allowed with T-mobiles ALLOWED number feature. This way he can call family, but not unsafe people, such as drug dealers. He has no internet on the phone. Anyway, he is finally at the point where he is starting to want to call people on the phone, and wants to talk to family members and friends that are not in his 10 Allowed phone numbers. Can we add 10 more? Can we have 20 Allowed numbers for his phone? We want to support him in communicating with healthy people. If you don't currently have the possibility for 20 allowed numbers, can you make that for people in our situation? Please answer me. I am not always T-mobile site. So please answer me on my email, which is bardsleyclant@comcast.net. Thanks,Debbi51Visto0likes1Comentario
