Hi, T-Mobile Community! I'm hopping on to introduce myself as one of the latest suckers who foolishly fell for the $200 prepaid virtual Mastercard home internet promotion! I switched from another perfectly good internet provider after being lured in by the promo. I activated my service in August andsubmitted for the promo online in September. Icalled customer service after about 5 weeks. I was then told to expect the card near the beginning of October. When I didn't receive it, I called again and was told to expect it on November 7th, right at the 8 week mark. I did notice my status changed from "received" to "approved" on the online tracker. This morning I called Customer service and was told it's actually not approved, but "pending," and that I should check again at the end of this month because processing takes at least ten weeks. As much fun as the anticipation, uncertainty, and inconsistency has been, I think I'm going to go ahead and go back to my former provider. This whole gaslit bit is not for me. If this has happened to you, know that you are not alone!! I switched to T-Mobile Internet over 3 months ago. The $200 Pre-paid Mastercard within 10 weeks was an incentive that led to me making this choice. It has been 12 weeks and I have not heard a thing. Has anyone had a similar experience? I placed my order for T-Mobile home internet back on 6/13/24 and received/activated my service on 6/15/2024 however every time i go to the redemption center to fill out to get my rebate that i was promised it has an error message to try later. i have been trying for months! The continue button is not an active button and the bottom left of the screen says "something went wrong,please try again". what do i do? i have been checking all the time from my desktop and phone. still the same thing. Recently 2 weeks back I switched to T mobile home internet. I facing lot of difficulties to work from home due inconsistent internet connection. Microsoft teams call gets dropped very frequently. Although I have already activated 5G Plus, I am not so sure if I really need the plus for worry free coverage, or maybe the 5G is absolutely enough for me. We normally only have two people in the house, two story, 2500 sqf house. We need internet for cell phones, computers, and using the TV. My spouse works from home a few days a week, he needs to connect to his work and runs schematics as an engineer (main reason we went for the 5G Plus). During holidays, we might have a couple of kids coming home to visit for a few days, but normally just us two. Do we really need to pay for the 5G Plus, or should we go for regular 5G? Ever since I switched to the BYOD-Router internet gateway I haven't been able to stay in party chats. Everything else works perfectly fine no connectivity issues on my laptop, phone, or TVs but as soon as I join an Xbox live party it's fine for a couple seconds then I lose connection. Game chat works fine. My NAT is moderate but it used to be open. Also my xbox is saying UPnP not successful. I logged into my router but there doesn't seem to be anyconfigurable network settings. This is a public service announcement regarding T-Mobile's 5G home internet service. We have just set up our new 5G service, and it works much better than our old wired service from our previous internet service provider. That is not the issue. The issue is that we plan to cancel that previous account, which means we will no longer have email service through them. So we need new email addresses. After 20 minutes on hold and speaking with people with heavy foreign accents who did not seem to understand what I was asking for, I finally got a straight answer: T-MOBILE DOES NOT PROVIDE CUSTOMERS WITH E-MAIL ACCOUNTS (EXAMPLE: yourname@tmobile.net) If you switch to T-Mobile 5G home internet service and cancel your old ISP, you will need to make some other email account into your primary email account. Hopefully this message will save some people a lot of frustration while trying to get full ISP service, and sitting on hold just to speak to someone with a barely-understandable accent who will try to explain that they will delete your email contact information for you.
