4 Topics"LG IMS keeps stopping"
This started on one family member's V30 yesterday and another today. This affects more than one LG model. Obviously T-mobile has changed something in the network. See this thread here: https://community.t-mobile.com/android-9/lg-g7-error-message-this-morning-43550 I have tried safe-mode,Disabling mobile data. Etc, etc. including all suggested on the internet and above thread with no success. I would advise against making any changes until an official response is issued from someone with sufficient knowledge to understand what network-wide changes were made and explain how to correct the problem or how T-mobile intends to correct the problem. I worked this issue for more than 8 hours today!Solved24KViews17likes96ComentariosLG releases fix for LG IMS crash
I received a text from T-mobile about a fix being released (by LG) for the LG IMS has stopped error. Read the instructions here: t-mo.co/LGIMS From your list of apps, tap theSettingsgear. Either selectSystemor choose theGeneraltab. ChooseUpdate Center>App Updates. SelectDownload for LG IMS Improvedand wait for the update to complete. Press and hold thePowerkey, then choose to restart your device. I'm not seeing the update yet but it may be a propagation issue (IOW, it'll show up soon). The instructions were a little confusing in 1 because it says from the list of apps. Basically open the settings app then System then Update Center then App Updates. This is where the LG app updates are found.4.4KViews1like14ComentariosLG IMS HAS STOPPED
I was able to find a solution that works. Turn off your Wi-Fi and keep it off or the box "LG IMS has stopped"will pop back up. Simply repeat the steps below to remove it again. You can navigate the phone with the message "LG IMS has stopped" just click any space on your phone screenaround the box.. It will reappear in about three seconds so you will go a bit slower until youcomplete the steps below. Steps to clear LG IMS has stopped box Go to settings>storage//internal storage>other apps>hit three dots in upper right hand corner...>show system>scroll to find, com.lge.ims.rcsprovider (was not in order on my phone)>clear data/cache. The box will disappear.6.4KViews3likes28ComentariosLG IMS Has Stopped working fix is coming from LG soon
I talked with LG Support chat and they are aware of the issue and are hoping to push a fix out in the next 24 hours. I asked them specifically if they will do this fix for older phones like the LG v20, and they said "yes". The "fix" will be pushed to your phone and found in the same spot as your regular LG Phone updates were located.2.4KViews5likes8Comentarios
