roaming internacional
119 TopicsOverseas Travel: How can I avoid incoming call costs but still use free text/data roaming while abroad?
We're planning to travel to Europe later this year and would like to take advantage of T-Mobile's free international text/data roaming. However, I saw that incoming calls are charged at one minute even if you don't answer; per T-Mobile's website: "If your phone is on when you get an incoming call, even if you do not answer it, the call is charged one minute for delivery to the phone. (There are no charges if your phone is turned off.)" I get multiple robocalls/telemarketer calls per week, and I don't want to rack up charges for unwanted calls. Is there any way to temporarily turn off incoming calls or route them directly to voicemail to avoid charges? If so, what are the steps to do that?Solved39KViews2likes50ComentariosTravel to Colombia
Hello, I am spending one month in Colombia and want to make sure I have the best plan with T-Mobile. I currently have the One Plan. Does the One Plan include UnlimitedCalling and Messages to and from my phone while in Colombia without additional fees? Does it provide internet service without additional fees? Do I need to use wifi calling? If not, which plan would be better for me? ¡Gracias!25KViews0likes1ComentarioInternational roaming / India - has issues
I have international roaming available as part of plan, but phone won't connect to internet. I am currently in a city called Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu, India. The phone connects to a strong signal from Vodafone - India (and shows all bars are up on signal anywhere in city). But, when i try to start up chrome browser, it immediately shows "NO INTERNET". Has been consistently doing it for past few days that i have been here. The obvious checks (Mobile data, Data roaming, Network operator etc) have all been checked. So, i am starting to think that vodafone india is throttling or cheating Tmobile on their end of the deal. If not, how can tmobile give me data service here ? I need to get this working soon, since i will be india for a while…..currently, i am getting by only on wifi connects.24KViews1like41ComentariosUnlimited free calls on 15GB/30 Days International Data Pass and Wi-Fi Calling
I was told by a retail sales rep at a T-Mobile retail store today that unlimited free calls to/from/within Simple Global countries on International Data Pass only works on Wi-Fi Calling and that without Wi-Fi calling the charges for each call is $.25/minute (Magenta plan). This does not seem right as this would mean locals calls made within a Simple Global country would result in an international call originating from the U.S. Instead of being a free call, I believe, this would result in a $3.00/minute call. Do we really need to turn on Wi-Fi Calling while on International Data Pass? I am planning a trip to Japan and don't want any surprise billing when I return from the trip. Would appreciate any comment from people that have used this service.Solved10KViews0likes20ComentariosInternational Roaming Not Working
Hello, I entered Mexico on 2/20/22 on vacation and received my "Welcome to Mexico" automated text message telling me that I have international data. My data worked fine up until mid-day 3/3/22 and it has not worked since (now 3/8/22). I am unable to figure out why this is and I have tried just about everything with the phone including activating a new SIM and putting the SIM into a different phone. Everything posted here on the forums and on Google has not helped as well. Can you please look into this for me and let me know if there is some block on my account or something else going on? Thank you! Nick9KViews0likes6ComentariosT-Mobile's international travel plans vs eSims
eSims have gained in popularity. Our T-mobile plan includes free data while traveling in Europe (we're U.S. based) but 25 cents a minute for phone calls is expensive. Does T-Mobile have some other International plan for phone calls and how does that compare to our getting a local eSim carrier?7KViews0likes6ComentariosInternational pass not working.
I purchased a 30 day international pass for my wife's Iphone 13 for her trip to Romania in January of 2023. I did not accompany her on the trip. She could not get it working during her visit. She had to rely on WIFI connections the entire time. We made sure that roamingwas enabled and we also tried#RON# with no success. My sister in law had the same issue in February. She also has an Iphone 13. We all have the Magenta MAX 55+ plan. My wife's phone and mine haveESIM'sbut everything I've read says the ESIM shouldn't make a difference. My wife is planning a return trip in April 2023 and would really like to be assured that T Mobile will work as advertised. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.6.3KViews1like8ComentariosTravel to the U.A.E. and Amsterdam
T-mobile community challenged here. I will be traveling and don't want to get stuck with outrageous fees. Reading blogs and seeing that some folks have to get a new sim card, but if I am reading the T-mobile site correctly I should be good to go?I am on the Magenta plan and T-mobile site says that the network AND my note20 plus is compatible. How do I actually confirm this? Any insights? Thankings!5.7KViews0likes5Comentarios
