Ok. I have contacted my legal team (I work in the Legal field). And I asked if we can start a class action suit against TMobile for the dreaded challenge of these apps not working on mobile data being there is perk that if you sign up for a specific plan, you are entitled to music and not use your monthly data. Heck it's why I change from the 30 to 40$ plan... I have since opened 3 tickets. No resolution. I will say the work around is to use (Proton VPN APP is free) a VPN. Once you enable it, bam the music works on mobile data. You can disconnect the VPN and the music app still works. Now I also understand the APN hack to change to IP4 which does work but not 100%. But then your traveling at IP4 on all your apps... So the real challenge actually isn't TMobile but the actual music vendor not supporting IP6. So a class action suit would raise corporate eyebrows but in the end it's the fact of Spotify not on the IP6 level.335Visto4likes10ComentariosMobile data issues on T-Mobile network after transition from international roaming
On multiple occasions after transitioning from an international roaming networkto the T-Mobile network, I experience data connectivity issues for significant amount of time afterwards. Is there any tips on mitigating these network transition issues as they can come at quite inconvenient times where quick access to records are needed (boarding pass, reservation confirmation, email, etc). Going in and out of airplane mode doesn't help. Restarting phone sometimes helps but this shouldn't need to be constant fall-back. Interestingly, I haven't haddata connectivity issues transitioning from the T-Mobile network to International Roaming Networks.81Visto0likes2Comentariosdata is active, but slow as all hell
I use an android phone and For the past 2 to 3 days, my data has been so slow that I can't access downloads on certain apps. I don't what it is, but its getting annoying. Usually, I would just chalk it up to t mobile tower troubles. However, I've had a history of my data coverage being so trashy. And it's because of one thing that still don't freaking understand and that: the carrier hub application. Someone explain to what the hell it does and why does my service always get worse when is have to mess for an update or permission or whatever. I've been dealing with this carrier hub bull crap for a few good years using t mobile and it still gets on my nerves.50Visto0likes0ComentariosRecently moved to rural area and service was great, after 3 weeks I have no mobile data, why?
Prior to getting onto this peer assist forum I found that all methods to reachT-Mobile support require accessing T-Mobile's mobile network, but my issue is being suddenly and persistently unable to access T-Mobile's mobile network no phone without wifi, and no SMS/MMS. This is very difficult to troubleshoot therefore (and I have inadequate Wi-Fi making itworse). When I've recently traveled from home to locations with good Wi-Fi I'm still largely unable to call, receive calls, or exchange texts. So it's a mobile data issue and not solely an internet issue. I've tried many remedies. Frequent powercycling of the device; disabling battery-management; disabling Wi-Fi calling; enabling Wi-Fi calling; disabling roaming; cooling the device in the refrigerator; removing the SIM, examining it, finding no damage or wear to the copper, cleaning the drawer with alcohol and an air duster, replacing the SIM; among other things. A little over a month ago I moved from Massachusetts to rural northern Vermont. TMO's coverage map seems to show that I have a 5G tower less than a quarter mile from me in one direction, and only about a half-mile away in the opposite direction. Service was excellent for over a month. And now, for over a week, I have virtually none. Possible causes I have considered: * My SIM has gone bad. * Either recent storms or some other even has affected the local access points or WLAN segments in use by T-Mobile. * The coverage map is incorrect or out of date. * My service has been throttled or in some other way been rendered unusable, without explanation. Can you help me to determine a fix, please? The nearest T-Mobile Authorized Retailer and service location is almost 125 miles away and a 3hr drive. I have emailed support with no response. I do not use Twitter/X or Facebook Messenger. I've used the unofficial Reddit support group in the past -- I appear to have stumped them, this time. I appreciate any comment or suggestion. Fix me please! Thanks.80Visto0likes0ComentariosMy T-Mobile data isn’t working
I have an iPhone 12 pro max (it's on the latest IOS version)that can make and receive calls and texts, but the cellular data won't work at all for things like Safari, social media, or any other app that requires a connection. It's been this way for two days now, and I have done everything I can possibly think of to try and fix it. I've turned airplane mode and cellular data on and off (and given them time to disconnect and reconnect the cellular data), I've restarted my phone multiple times (and given it time to reconnect to everything), reset the network settings, taken the SIM card out and then put it back in, and also left it alone last night to see if it would fix itself, but it still won't work. I consistently have two bars of service, and had two bars of service regularly before it started doing this, as well, and it also says T-Mobile LTE in the top right hand corner like it normally does. If you don't try to get on anything that requires data, the phone seems perfectly normal, but it started doing this out of nowhere. I'm on the same plan as my siblings and parents, and their phones are all working perfectly fine (and they are not connected to Wi-Fi). I am currently connected to our Wi-Fi, which is the reason I can type this out, but our Wi-Fi is not nearly as fast as my cellular data normally is, and it constantly kicks me off of things, which is why I'd like to get this fixed as soon as possible. I was just wondering if anyone had any suggestions other than a factory reset or going to a T-Mobile location in order to have it looked at. ¡Gracias!Solved24KViews2likes16ComentariosHow do I fix my slow data/roaming?
It seems like I've tried everything to try and fix this slow data issue but nothing is working. I've tried calling tech support. I've tried restarting the phone but no luck. I've tried resetting the network settings but still nothing. Even got a new SIM card. This is getting so exhausting and I can't afford to get a new phone. Can someone please give me a solution so I can get this freaking internet/data to work. I have a Google pixel 6a. I also live in Alaska.415Visto1like4ComentariosT-Mobile Hotspot Usage Bug with Tidal Streaming
I have been having issues with Tidal streaming on my Samsung S24 since February '24. I have determined that the data that Tidal is using to stream music is being recognized as "hotspot data" by T-Mobile. Each carrier billing cycle the T-Mobile system sends me a message stating I have hit my hotspot data cap. At that time Tidal becomes extremely slow and encounters buffering issues. All of my other applications work perfectly fine, I have unlimited data with my T-Mobile plan (Magenta Max55+), but for some reason, Tidal is using hotspot data or its data usage is being miscategorized as hotspot data. On my phone hotspot data usage reported is 0GB month over month. I never use my hotspot. Something weird is going on here, I am not sure if it is on the Tidal side in how it requests data or on the T-Mobile. I need help in having this issue investigated and escalated to the appropriate parties (Either at Tidal, T-Mobile, or maybe even Samsung). I have attempted to inform T-Mobile but they their phone support seems ill-equipped to handle uncommon technical problems. I am not sure if this will ever be resolved. I suppose in T-mobiles eyes this would be like a "P4" priority. Unless there is some security risk involved I doubt they will care. Here are links showing other customers have experienced similar problems: https://community.t-mobile.com/accounts-services-4/t-mobile-shows-hotspot-data-usage-when-it-is-disabled-in-my-phone-settings-47603https://community.t-mobile.com/plans-features-and-billing-46/why-is-tidal-data-being-recognize-as-hotspot-data-50869?postid=223600#post22360065Visto0likes0ComentariosHotspot Usage when Not using Hotspot | Tidal running slow
I wanted to share my experience in case others are facing a similar issue: I received a new Samsung S24 in February. Since then, I've been receiving notifications about exceeding my hotspot data usage, even though the hotspot is turned off. This seemed strange. I reported this to T-Mobile support, but they kept pointing to their system showing I was using hotspot data and advised me to turn it off. Additionally, I use Tidal for music streaming. Recently, I've been unable to stream music using mobile data as it was extremely slow or wouldn't load at all. Today, after receiving another hotspot usage message (indicating I exceeded the 5GB cap without using the hotspot), I noticed my Tidal streaming stopped working on mobile data this billing cycle. I checked my phone's data usage, and it showed Tidal had used over 5GB of mobile data-the exact amount as the hotspot data cap. It seems T-Mobile's system was misreporting Tidal's mobile data usage as hotspot data. I tried explaining this to support, but they didn't acknowledge it. They reset the network connection to my phone, which seemed to resolve the issue. I suspect this problem might be related to T-Mobile's "Music Freedom" feature included in my plan, which is supposed to prioritize or differently handle music streaming traffic.146Visto2likes3ComentariosHow is it possible that Texting via all forms of data isnt working?
Text messages are not working for me (I am receiving sporadically but they are not sending according to multiple Messaging Apps) I'm not a network pro, but if I have WiFi working, Mobile Data working (I can post this question, for instance using my fold), how the heck are texts not finding a way to send? Tried SMS, WiFi calling on/off, RCS on/off, mobile data on/off, and all permutations. Even restarted the device. Duration thus far: 2 hours. Is there an authentication glitch on the TMobile Network? I live in the middle of a big city, I thought 5G meant that there was some tiny amount of robustness and redundancy. Is there some other dependency I do not know about that would mean out going texts fail despite full internet access? The fact this can happen with internet working seems unacceptable especially given thepremium prices. VM is also unavailable to access. There's shockingly little live outtage communication on this website or via support, which is unhelpful. Though it is easy to see the problem affects many others. If I were an enterprise customer something like this would seriously damage my faith in the network stability and redundancy best practices. If there is some otherdependency that often lacka backup (such as authentication) then there should have been a communication on the front page of the site detailing the issue and expected time to fix. These should be considered some of the most basic, barely adequate, business practices, in my opinion, and doubly so for a utility company.187Visto3likes4Comentarios
