port forwarding
10 TopicsNAT/forwarding issues while gaming/streaming
Hey guys, I'm new here... I just got my gateway in yesterday... I must say, I'm highly disappointed and I only wish I researched this further before I ordered it...I've already donemultiple searches on this topic, so I'm not gonna ask the question I've been wanting to ask which was: "Why isn't my connection open NAT?", or "Why can't I port forward?". I've pretty much answered all of those questions myself by simply searching. I have taken it upon myself to call T-mobile's tech support anyways in the event that somehow a miracle is sent my way.... Fortunately for me, a very kind gentleman by the name of Alex, employee number 786457, assured me that they will be fixing the problem within a 48 hour period. I was told there will be some Beta software sent to my unit "possibly". And yes, that was the word used... Not sure how far I can believe that, seeing as how a lot of you are having issues. But anyway, this is my journey. I will post some updates here n there to let y'all know the outcome. Worst case scenario this causes me to vacate the community & the service entirely. Because this is probably one of the largest handicaps any network can have, it's almost like having parental control without it actually being implemented. Stay tuned folks, I'll let you know what happens. Hopefully this "beta" program isn't bullcucky.6KViews2likes33ComentariosNAT (Forwarding) in T-Mobile Gateway
I recently signed up for T-Mobile internet, and I am VERY disappointed that I could not even forward NATtraffic to my home security system. I saw that this was discussed 7 months ago in a previous thread, and hope the developers will notice this. The speed is great, and the same as was advertised in the chat. I would like this issue to be resolved so that I don't need to continue with Optimum (Morris Broadband).66KViews13likes51ComentariosWhen will firmware for the Nokia 5G home router be updated to add true router functionality?
As everyone who's slight more advanced at configuration home routers and has migrated to T-Mobile's 5G Home internet with the Nokia modem, the configuration is more of a modem and not a home router. I would like to open external ports and direct them do specific IP addresses and ports. Hell, I'd like to be able to change the private subnet address range or have multiple private subnets using 802.1q for different classes of devices in my home… Even better, if TMobile Nokia 5G Home internet is a modem… that just make it modem with a single WAN address assigned and I can use my home router to do everything else. Is this coming? Is TMobile going to serve needs of advanced (sort of) users? It's a great, fast, reliable service for me, just which the made the solution whole.936Visto3likes5ComentariosExposing ports on internet gateway
I would like to expose a port on my internet gateway to allow me to expose a VPN to allow access my desktop when traveling. Accessing the configuration page I do not see any way to configure which ports are open and then port mapping. Is there a way to get at the detailed internet gateway configuration capabilities?Solved319Visto0likes1ComentarioUPNP issues and is there a fix?
Hi I understand that the reason most gamers using t mobile home internet experience high ping is because of the lack of "UpNP" and was wondering if I upgraded to really nice gaming router with upnp enabled it would fix my issues. Or would it not help since the modem t mobile gives you doesn't have upnp Ping on last provider 0-20 Ping on t mobile 40-602.7KViews0likes1ComentarioHas anyone figured out how to configure port forwarding on home internet on Nokia modem
I'm trying to setup basic port forwarding rules for cameras as well as RDP access to my computer. The unit is so simple it's dummy proof to the extreme. I tried calling t-Mobile, but the tech support gave the the website to Nokia and said have at it (Useless support). Has anyone found a different firmware that allows any of these modification or am I out of luck; if so, this thing is going back to T-Mobile!2.9KViews2likes7Comentarios
