WHY on earth are there so many errors and "wires crossed" messages when trying to do dang near anything? Both on the mobile app and the web page browser. I have been having issues with Tidal streaming on my Samsung S24 since February '24. I have determined that the data that Tidal is using to stream music is being recognized as "hotspot data" by T-Mobile. Each carrier billing cycle the T-Mobile system sends me a message stating I have hit my hotspot data cap. At that time Tidal becomes extremely slow and encounters buffering issues. All of my other applications work perfectly fine, I have unlimited data with my T-Mobile plan (Magenta Max55+), but for some reason, Tidal is using hotspot data or its data usage is being miscategorized as hotspot data. On my phone hotspot data usage reported is 0GB month over month. I never use my hotspot. Something weird is going on here, I am not sure if it is on the Tidal side in how it requests data or on the T-Mobile. I need help in having this issue investigated and escalated to the appropriate parties (Either at Tidal, T-Mobile, or maybe even Samsung). I have attempted to inform T-Mobile but they their phone support seems ill-equipped to handle uncommon technical problems. I am not sure if this will ever be resolved. I suppose in T-mobiles eyes this would be like a "P4" priority. Unless there is some security risk involved I doubt they will care. I got the home internet being a 21 year old just moving out into the world. I only use it to game I told them that they said it would be perfect! Especially with a ethernet cable! I was lied to I'm currently sitting at 1.5 mbps for upload and it drops lower and 20-50 for downloading making gaming literally impossible! I can't even connect to my own psn! Without the ethernet the PS5 won't even connect to it! The PS5 say the connect far to weak to connect.I've call the T mobile technicians 3 times and every time I get a told that they're gonna fix things on their end and to reboot itand then end the call with me.IfI get told that a gonna im just gonna end my service, so maybe someone here can help and keep me at T mobile!214Visto1like6ComentariosHigh-Speed Internet Gateway does not work with some apps on T-mobile Home Wifi Internet
I don't know if anybody can help. Encountered a few deal breaking moments with T-mobile Home Wifi internet. I get a whopping 100-235mbps with my High-Speed Internet Gateway but it prevents full access to apps causing extreme lag spikes, pages not loading and video not playing with Amazon Prime Video (on PS4 and on Amazon Fire Stick 4k), TD Ameritrade trading platform for Windows 10, and to a lesser extent apps like Epic Games on PC I also have T-vision TV package, that works fine. So does Netflix. Epic games was able to be fixed once telling PC to use Google DNS 8.8.8.8. and 8.8.4.4. respectively. I had to use Nord VPN to get TD Ameritrade to function correctly without freezing at times, DNS change did not work here. Amazon prime video is still a no go, constantly stops and takes a long time to load again only to stop again. DNS change also did not resolve the issue. It should still work with Nord VPN because it bypasses all T-Mobile filters, but I did not buy T-mobile Home WiFi internet to need the VPN all the time, so I did not bother trying VPN with Prime Video. Is that something we can possibly fix in firmware? And soon please? Speaking of firmware. There is no place to get a new Firmware update which the High-Speed Internet Gateway critically needs. It lacks too many features. One the most needed features is to allow the High-Speed Internet Gateway to turn in just a modem and turn off all routing features so that users can bring their own independent routers to handle DHCP and other advanced functions. High-Speed Internet Gateway also has a bug where I can not fully disable all of the WiFi Signals. You can stop broadcast and SSID from being announced and reduce the radio power for 2.4ghz and 5ghz from 100% down to 12% but it is still not entirely off. I can still see a 5ghz band displaying a signal and allows me to connect when WiFi is supposed to be disabled. Apparently there is a 5Ghz low and 5Ghz high antenna mode. And the 5ghz high is the one that remains visible and usable. Can not be turned off. I don't want to use the hub for wifi, just want to use hard wired internet. I hope to see these issues addressed in the next firmware update with a resources on where we can obtain the new firmware update file as right now there is no information on that anywhere for the new High-Speed Internet Gateway. At the very least I want to see the simple feature of turning the gateway into a modem all by itself and I can handle all the routing on my end instead and if it comes to it I can do a whole house VPN that way and bypass all the problems. Older gateways had the expert mode from what I could see, please bring that back too if you can. Thank you for reading! And for the help! Mike P.S. I have already tried turning it off and back on again, obviously does not work. VPN seems to be the only way to bypass all the problems, but since the unit can not disable routing to act solely as a modem, I can not use a separate router for DHCP and to run VPN for the whole house.9.1KViews7likes21Comentarios
