roaming
37 TopicsKicked off of Roaming while deployed
Hello all I am currently deployed to a location in the middle east, and I have the Magenta Max Military plan. Initially, I was able to use mobile data for roaming, but now it seems I have 0 connection and it constantly says "searching." My WiFi availability is VERY spotty, so I really am trying to rely on the LTE for text messages (for 2FA) and other things. I started to notice that whenever I was connected to a vodafone network, I would get kicked off shortly thereafter. My job requires me to have 24/7 availability by phone, so this situation is leading me to miss critical phone calls because I simply don't notice that I've been kicked off the network until I check my phone. What am I doing wrong here? I'm on a Samsung Galaxy S24. Now when I am trying to connect to the network (even after restarting my phone, resetting network settings, turning mobile radio on/off), I just see a "DENIED" status under Data Raw Registration State and Voice Raw Registration State. Please help, I thought I'd be able to rely on international roaming with T-mobile to maintain connectivity. I really don't have to have to purchase an additional sim card for the area.66Visto0likes2ComentariosAccount Security Concern — 355+ Open Ports Scanning “T-Mobile.com” — Severe Third-Party Control
My family and I have undergone a serious security breach from account opening in September 2023 to present. I have taken to network security websites and tools to try to determine the cause of the problem that is keeping persistentconnection from a third-party on my mobile lines Recently I did a Port Scan for the domain "T-Mobile.com" and found that there is at least355 open ports(and 10's of thousands of identified, closed, or blocked ports). This is very much out of the norm for any other domain I scan (having only 3-5 open ports). I am seeing Port 11 (sysstat - active users), 9040, 9050 and 9051 open for tor transport, 12345 and 12346 for backdoor Trojans onto ourdevices, amongmany other seriously concerning ports Threat actors have enabled third-party licensure and tools for our accounts which forbid security and privacy. Every bill's text and call log activity is 90% unrecognizable activity. It is strongly believed my phone lines andall activity on them are being shared. When I go into the store, the IMEI numbers showing are not the ones belonging to my devices. There is also an unremovable "managed network" under settings and then Wi-Fi and then saved networks that has always been there and is there when I put my eSIMs or physical SIM cards on any device and goes away when I turn the eSIM off or take the card out. The account is sole-owner, and no credentials have been given out to anyone, ever It also sounds like, from what I heard in store, simply closing the account and creating a fresh one is not an easy process. We have changed numbers and transferred phone service providers two times already and I do not want to do it again if I don't have to. The crime has survived for almost two years now, and I believe my information and my family's information was leaked How do I stop this?I don't know how to close ports or reassign the IP address designated to t-mobile.com. I'm really not sure what to do, but would really appreciate the help Thanks!81Visto0likes1ComentarioInternational Roaming Setting
Hi, We are new to T-Mobile and will be International. I have checked the T-Mobile site and all of the locations are covered by our plan (Magenta Plus 55+). My question is what should the setting on our phone be? (We both have Samsung Galaxy phones) I am assuming that we should have Roaming turned on.Solved2.4KViews0likes9ComentariosRoaming not working anymore in France
Hi I am in France and i cannot access to Data/Voice anymore. I have a OnePlan plan. it was working at the beginning of the week. I know that with my plan the bandwidth is slower when in international, but right now, it does not connect at all. Do you have any idea? Is there a usage cap? Question 1: Under what conditions would I need to turn ON Roaming? Question 2: Under what conditions would I need to turn OFFRoaming? Question 3: What IS roaming? thanks657Visto0likes2ComentariosInternational Roaming on or off??
My son is traveling in the Mediterranean on a Navy Supply ship. It's not a cruise ship with it's own network. He could pick up different countries as he goes, but let's say Greece and Italy. Both of them are in the 215 country list. He has the Global Plus 15 GB travel plan that should be 15 GB data and unlimited calls and text messages. Does Data Roaming have to be on or off? I've gotten multiple different answers when calling T-Mobile! Very frustrating! Thank you for the help!318Visto0likes2ComentariosRoaming de datos internacional
I know that I have a certain amount of free high-speed data available while roaming in other countries. Once that is exhausted, does it automatically slow down to the free 256kbpm rate, or do I need to manually restrict the phone from using the faster rate to prevent myself from being charged for the higher speed usage? I am hoping it does it automatically to it remains free but I'm not sure how it works and I don't want to be charged extra.50Visto0likes0ComentariosReally Bad Customer Service
Hi, I am facing big issue with customer service and unable to find a way to lodge complaint officially. Issue started last month when I was travelling overseas and data roaming did not work for 1 specific main line. Other 2 lines I carried worked fine. I called support and they asked me to add roaming package for 10 days but even as I mentioned that I have not maxed allocated roaming hours they instructed to add additional package. After activation of the package still issue was open and support technician was asking standard questions and placed no effort to fix it. After spending multiple calls over 1 hour of my valuable time overseas issue was not fixed. Requested for someone from USA technical support was requested and agent mentioned request has been placed and will get call within 3 days. This never happened. I chatted with support on the issue and ask for refund of the data package and someone to call to fix the data roaming issues was not closed. After multiple attempts to get call back from support team still was unsuccessful. Also refund was agreed but did not reflect in my statement. Customer service is not willing to take customer complaint seriously and not further escalatingit No return call from USA support team until now Billing issue took two calls to resolved and get adjustment Customer service unable to provide ticket for mycomplaint Finally today I have ticket logged #01116452. Expectations, Call from necessary team to fix the issue I am facing as next overseas travelled is planned for next week Take necessary action on the support team previously engaged in my complaint Why T-Mobile is not providing details to provide feedback on the customer service??? If not addressed soon, planning to port to another service who cares about the customer...360Visto0likes9ComentariosVoLTE in Japan?
GSM-phones built for the US (and GSM) aren't compatible with 2G in Japan which is based on CDMA.So I'd like to know can I use VoLTE in Japan when roaming using Tmobile's roaming agreements with the carriers in Japan? And if so, does that work fortxt messaging as well? If VoLTE is a no go should I be prepared to use VoIP alternatives (I.e. with a different phone number)? Thanks! My phone has been displaying "roaming" for the past couple days instead of the usual T-Mobile connection, even though I have not left my house let alone left my own state. I haven't traveled internationally in years so that wouldn't be caused by that either. I have exhausted all of my options in terms of troubleshooting to trying and fix it, but it is perpetually stuck in that roaming status. I have tried reseting my network settings, rebooting my phone, changing cellular settings, and pretty much everything you cam think of. Is there anything I can do to fix it? I would really love to return to my normal service since I rely heavily on my data for Internet access!119Visto0likes2Comentarios
