Is anyone able to provide a timeline for T-Mobile providing access to advanced router settings? (You know, the ones virtually all other ISPs provide) Currently T-Mobile's home internet solution does not allow users to: Manage DNS settings Manage DHCP (IP addresses for client machines) Use any subnet other than 192.168.12.x connected directly to the gateway Put the gateway into bridge mode - this results in double network address translation (NAT) that breaks services like port forwarding and VPN Specify the channel to be used for wireless SSIDs (neither 2.4 nor 5Ghz) It would be really nice to know if T-Mobile has any intention of ever resolving these issues. Until they do, users will continue to be frustrated with just how inflexible and limiting the T-Mobile home internet solution actually is compared to other ISPs. When you factor in that most users get 150/30Mbpsas average bandwidth, T-Mobile's low cost is actually not that low - most ISPs will provide 400/35Mbps for just a few dollars more. So, when can we expect to get real access, on T-Mobile Home Internet, to the configuration options that almost all other ISPs provide already? It really is shameful that this hasn't been addressed or resolved already!249Visto1like1ComentarioConnect Archer C54 to Sagecomm Gateway
Hello to all, My wife has been having issues connecting her Nintendo Switch to Animal Crossing and I have read that maybe adding a router would help. I purchased a TP Link Archer C54 router and it powers and gives a network but there is no internet connection. I am using the Ethernet ports in the back of the sagecomm. I have tried everything. Any suggestions to help this router connect to the internet would be great. Thanks, MichaelSolved79Visto0likes6ComentariosT-mobile gateway with seperate router
I'm just starting out on T-Mobile home internet but didn't want to stop using my Asus Router which is set up nicely already to handle everything in this household (both wifi and ethernet). Here's what I did to avoid any problems. I hooked my Router's WAN port (which use to go to my cable modem) to one of the two ethernet ports on the back of the T-Mobile Gateway. To avoid double NAT and other problems, I went to Administration on my Asus RT-AX82U and changed it from Wireless Router to Access Point. I made sure to download the Device Discovery Utility linked under Access Point before saving the change so I could get the Router IP address to log into it after the Router reboots. Then just type the new IP into the browser to continue managing the Router. I hope this helps anyone that simply wants to keep using their Router and it's setup with the T-Mobile Gateway. I can't totally disable the wifi in the T-Mobile Gateway (mine is the Sagemcom), but I switched it to 5Ghz only in the Tmobile app to cut down on any interference (which hasn't been a problem anyway) and still only use the WiFi from my Asus Router.4.8KViews6likes11ComentariosTmobile 5g home internet + Xbox Series X not compatible
Thanks to T-Mobile's Test Drive, I can try out the home internet for 15days. I'm getting good speeds and so far so good… I was really happy with the service until……… It's not compatible with my Xbox Series X. Apps like YouTube, Twitch, Hulu all work. But if I want to play games online, that's where it doesnt work. I get disconnected from the games respective servers. Doing a test on the network I get UPnP unavailable. I can retest until the UPnP is available but as soon as I start playing a game online, it disconnects. I see that I can attempt to connect a wireless router but I cannot control any settings on the App or if I log into router via a web browser. The only thing I can do is change names and passwords, but nothing else. Can a wireless router be connected to the gateway? If so, which brands will work best? There are other posts about this issue but no answer. I hope there is a solution or else the home internet goes back to T-Mobile and they will lose out on $50/month.18KViews2likes23ComentariosGateway sim card in a different router
I have read about how to add an external antenna to the KVD21 and am a little nervous. Instead, has anyone removed the SIM card from the KVD21 and put it in a different router that has antenna ports? Are there specific settings that are needed for this?Solved355Visto0likes1ComentarioXbox 360 acadyan gateway issue. trying to set up a router using ethernet, still no luck

My T-Mobile modem/router is receiving cell signal (LTE light is green) but not broadcasting wifi (wifi light is red). I've used the reset button, the on/off button, pulled the power cable, each several times over the past 6.5 hours or so. I've never seen this before (often have seen the LTE go out, but never the wifi). I've had the device over a year.61Visto0likes0Comentariosinternal Router Options?
How do I access my router settings on my modem. The normal way via web portal says to use the app. The app has no settings. If this is really the only options available, ie cannot set DMZ, cannot set bridge mode to you your own router, network mapping and all that jazz, I will be going back to vzw internet. Their modem has a full router built in that let's you fully customize your internet. And if infact there is no way to change any of this, you need to warn people saying: Your server projects for school will fail Your games will run like crap and may not even work due to network mapping. Multiplayer games will run very very badly and party functions won't work186Visto0likes1ComentarioI want to replace the home internet gateway
I've had T-Mobile home internet a few months. I was told service in my area was iffy butdecided to take the risk. They were upgrading the tower near me. That caused outages but I hung in there. The Sagemcom gateway was frequently going into standby mode, too. It would show connected to the tower but not provide internet to connected Wi-Fi devices though devices could talk to each other through the local network. After a time the gateway became more reliable only requiring a reboot every couple of days. There wasa two month window with good internet. Then the gateway starting going into standby again and T-Mobile replaced it with theArcadyan. TheArcadyan is extremely reliable but not nearly as fast. Unfortunately theArcadyan will not service a great number of Wi-Fi connections. I have ten Google Nest Mini speakers and group play would not work with theArcadyan. I have many other devices, too. As a test I connected my 12 year old Buffalo router. It has 2.4 and 5 g bands. It services all the Wi-Fi connectionsjust fine. I sometimes haddevice connection issues with the Sagemcom, too. I guess the Sagemcom handled it better. Having hooked up the old router and seeing how it solved connection issues I know both the Sagemcom and Arcadyan have that problem. So I'm going to buy the latest technology Wi-Fi router and turn theWi-Fi radios off on theArcadyan. There's a script to do that. I can easily decide on a new router. While doing research I thought about replacing the T-Mobile supplied gateway, too. Since the Sagecom is faster than theArcadyan I am thinking there may be other brands that work with T-Mobile. Talking to T-Mobile they said I could try a Nokia for $35 fee. On Amazon I saw aYeacomm 5G Modem AX3600 and aNETGEAR Nighthawk M6 5G WiFi 6 Mobile Hotspot Router (MR6150). It says theNETGEAR Nighthawk is certified to work with T-Mobile. Home internet 5G is different from phone 5G and has a radio just for that on the tower, I was told. I am wondering if anyone has experience replacing their T-Mobile supplied gatewaySolved9KViews0likes3Comentarios
