This # has been leaving voice messages ever since I got my phone in 2018. Every time I shut down my phone then turn it back on it says that I have a new voice message from the same #. Then its says that voice mail was detected using SMS but I haven't even been able to set up my voice mail. So I Googled the # to see if anyone else was having this problem and I found that this # is from Santa Barbara and many people have had this issue just like me and most of them said that this # had something to do with T-Mobile. Then I heard that this # was a viruse or a hacker trying to get into your phone which almost gave me a heart attack. So if you could explain to me what this # really is then that would be great.159KViews1like29ComentariosT Mobile Survey Scam
Back in December of 2021 I foolishly took what I thought at the time wasa T-Mobile survey, said I could pick a gift, I just had to pay the $6.96 shipping cost. I got a call today, 6/01/22 from a number identified as NBC 10, Bala Cynwyd, PA The rep was telling me I owed $119.00 since I didnot cancelmy High Smart Watch Plan. She said the watch was only free for 7 days. I really feel this was a scam because when she called today and I debated with her the whole situation, she kept talking over me and not letting me tell my story. then she says well since I am a supervisor here I will cancel your smart watch acct, but you will l still have to pay us $71.00. She said if I didn't, it would be reported to a collection agency. At that point I hung up on her. I have never in my life had bad credit, I really think this is a scam but if I get a call or a notice from a collection agency who should I contact for help and guidance with this situation? It must have been VERY FINE PRINT because I saw nothing of that, it was presented to me as a reward for doing the survey. Then to top it off, I accidentallyclicked to look at the GPS they were offering for $40.00, I ordered it by mistake I called the company right away and cancelled the GPS she said she could not not cancel the Smart Watch so I said ok since I only had to pay for the $6.96 shipping cost. Thenthe next month a charge appeared from a company I never heard of for $40.00 on my credit card. I called my cc company and they credited me the amount. They also recommended I cancel this CC and they would send me a new one. I also called T-Mobile after this happened and they said they do not send out surveys like this with reward gifts promised. Any advice?Solved27KViews0likes15ComentariosAssurant return concern
I have heard about this happening to a lot of people, unfortunately I saw all the stories *after* I filed a claim. I will soon have to mail my damaged phone back. I contacted T-Force and they said that I cannot turn it in in-store since the Protection<360> stuff all goes through Assurant. I am scared they will lose my returned phone and then bill me for it, as has happened to so many other people. Has anyone successfully done a return with Assurant? Any advice as to how I can protect myself - like getting a receipt and buying package insurance? I've also heard filming myself boxing the phone and sending the package is good, does that really help? And what can I do if/when they lose my phone? Also, has anyone actually had a *good* experience with Assurant or Jump? Literally all I am seeing is horror stories.Solved26KViews4likes24ComentariosScam?
As of the past four days, I have been receiving numerous phone calls from 1-844-796-0648. I looked up the number and it seems to say on multiple websites that this is a scam claiming to be T-Mobile, so I have been ignoring the calls since. As of yesterday, I received a letter in the mail saying that I have an outstanding balance. I checked my account and there is no outstanding balance. The letter looked suspicious to me considering it does not look like any other letter I have received in the past from T-Mobile (the paper is different, there is no color to the paper, etc.). I looked up the phone number provided inthis letter as well which states it is the financial service department (1-888-310-8471). I found that this also seems to be a scam number as well. I guess my questions are: is anyone else dealing with this? is this actually a scam? if this is a scam, how did they receive my information (phone number and address)?Solved19KViews4likes11ComentariosTMobile scam to give free device
Be careful with very unethical practice by Tmobile to give you free device and they will tell you it is free and will start charging you a service fee. Anyone have the same issues? When I was at the stores they did this to several customers. I should know better. I've been with Tmobile for a long time, after this bad experience, I can't trust Tmobile anymore. Maybe time to switch to a different company or find customers with similar issues and ask a lawyer to sue this company. It is not about the monthly fee, but it is about big corporation just get a way with unethical business practice by scamming customer.9KViews14likes26ComentariosBlock scam calls from leaving voicemail?
I have a Galaxy S10+ and Magenta Plus plan. I started receiving "Social Security" scam robocalls from a 520 area code number about a week ago, and suddenly in the last 2 days, they're calling me non-stop, literally every 30 to 60 minutes during the day. I blocked the number after the first couple instances but I'm still getting voicemail notifications and my VM is clogged with these scam robo messages. Is there a way to block the caller entirely so they can't leave voicemail? I saw on a couple other boards/threads that there are 3rd party apps that can do this but I don't want to have to install another app just to deal with this nuisance. BTW, when I first started getting the calls, I once let it play through the robocall message and it said it was putting me through to somebody. The guy who answered was very confused, so I hung up. The second time it was a guy who immediately started cursing at me. I then realized the number is bouncing me to others who think they're getting called from the scammer. So don't call the number back or stay on the line unless you want to perpetuate the scam... well, not so much a scam as some advanced but really dumb prank call game... or else a means of trying to flood our cell network in order to try to disable it?? Anyway, how do I block calls from a particular number from leaving VMs?Solved6.5KViews1like8ComentariosBeware of this scam!
