slow internet
22 Topicsphone works, but has slow connection to home wifi
Two weeks ago my phone has been getting slow wifi connection when everyone else in the house is fine on mobile and other devices, is there anything I can do to fix it? I only have access to certain apps like Discord, YouTube, and TikTok, but it won't let me play online games and such.38Visto1like0ComentariosSlow Internet Speed
For almost 2 years I was getting speeds of 280 to 320. My Gateway remained in the same position. 3 weeks ago it started slowing down. I was having trouble watching tv. My speeds were 7 to 30. So far I have called 3 times in the last 2 weeks. On the 2nd call they sent a new Gateway., My speeds were still down around 20. Called again. Didn't get any better. Last night my speed was down to 7 and I couldn't watch tv or do anything on the pc. Looks like I'm going to have to switch carriers. Does anyone have a solution or should I just go ahead and switch carriers?99Visto2likes0Comentarios5G Gateway Internet speed slow

Its really not good for online games nor download speed even though in the app it says it has very good internet speed it clearly isnt. I would like help to see why this is happeningSolved723Visto0likes4ComentariosSlow Home Internet
I've been using the home internet service since the beginning of March. It had been working really well, with me getting speeds between 25-100 mbps, which I've been super happy with since I'm in a rural area and it's hard to find internet that works here. However, since the beginning of June, my speeds have been around very inconsistent, but around 1mbps more often than not. Previously when my speeds were that slow, a simple restart would fix it. But I have rebooted/restartedthe device many, many times,as well as trieddoing a factory reset a couple times. Sometimes these things help..for a short period of time. Most of the time they don't change anything.Sometimes, after rebooting/restarting, my speeds will go back to 10-25mbps for anywhere from aminute to a few days, but will then revert back to around 1 mbps.I've also moved the device around my house to see if I got a better signal elsewhere, which also did not help. I thought my device was overheating, so I've been using a fan to cool it, which hasn't seemedto change anythingeither.I contacted T-Mobile support when I first started having issues, but they just sent me the gateway troubleshooting guide with everything I havealready tried, so I don't have a lot of faith in them being able to help me if I contact them again. Does anyonehave any idea why this is happening or know of anything else I can try? I'm just getting frustrated at this point, but don't have a lot of internet options where I live so I want to make this work if I can. Thanks in advance.2.9KViews2likes22ComentariosHome internet speeds are unacceptable during the day.
It's been 10 days since I started using T-Mobile Home Internet. I'm located right in downtown Seattle - My connection is considered "Excellent" and I have a direct view of the cell towers from my windows. The towers are less than 1 mile away. And that's why Ireally need to rant about the speeds I'm getting during the day - Just now, I'm slowed to a crawl at 3 mbps for an hour. Then just now, I tested again and it's at 1~ mbps. This seems to happen every other day with varying degrees of severity. I don't have any issues during non-peak hours, but even then I'm only getting 30 mbps MAX. What more can you expect your customers to do here? These speeds are unacceptable during the daytime, which is basically at 3G speeds and it occurs way too often for comfort. Please do something about these speeds or no one is going to stick around, at least I won't be.1.7KViews0likes10ComentariosMy new 5G gateway shows excellent connection but internet speeds are slow.
My new 5G gateway shows excellent connection but internet speeds are slow. i just installed a second t-mobile gateway at a different location. it shows connection quality of very good but speeds are much faster than my original (home) location. What could cause slow speeds when I have an excellent connection status?1.6KViews0likes7Comentariosslow speed tests
Got a new gateway and a new sim card, then had sim card replaced. Speedtest at the TMobile store less than a mile away was over 170. My first speed test at home was over 100 but then every subsequent speed test ranged from 3 to 24. I've restarted the gateway and devices and still get slow speed tests. Without wifi speed test is almost 200, so service in the area is good. Did I get another bad gateway?100Visto0likes2ComentariosNew home Internet customer. Disappointed with speeds so far
I installed my 5688 fast Gateway this morning at about 5am. I was able to find the sweet spot in reception looking due East. I put the gateway outside my garage door at about 3 ft off the ground and was getting 4/5 bars reception and 130mbps down. That was pretty good so I moved back inside and found the closest window on the north east corner of my shop building and after spinning it around and taking speed tests, my best performance was 3/5 bars and 90 mbps. Unfortunately I don't have an East facing window… Cut to today at 4pm and I'm now getting 10 mbps down and less. I am in a metal building and realize the challenges this presents, but I would expect better speeds, or at least close to what I was getting this morning. Also this morning we had clear skies and this afternoon its cloudy. Not sure howatmospheric conditions effect signal in 5g comms. Any thoughts? So my signal to noise ratio is really terrible. So much in fact that my Internet speeds can be 1 to 5 Mbpsif lucky. Looking through my gateway settings as well as the app settings I see that the signal to noise ratio is not where it should be. This is causing the connection to drop or even the modem to rebooton its own. As you can see in the attached screenshots thesignal to noise ratio is really horrible on the primary signal as well as represented on the app but the signal to noise ratio on the secondary signal is actually quite good. Unfortunately that's not being reflected because I'm still getting a terrible connection as I had mentioned. I'm also getting a crazy thing happening where I'm getting locked out of my gateway page(192.168.12.1) but that might be a different problem. Is there any way for the secondary signal to kick over and stay basically making it my primary signal? and by the way this cannot be a heat issue since I have a fan underneath the modem and a fan on top of the modem.5.5KViews1like15Comentarios
