It seems that the past week or two I've been having an issue receiving SMS text messages, from both contacts set in my iPhone & time sensitive ones for 2FA. I've turned phone off & waited several minutes to turn it back on. The latest one, ironically, was from T-Mobile when I participated in a Red Cross disaster relief thing last night….I texted at 8:35p EST & just received confirmation at 11:26a this morning.58Visto0likes2ComentariosPeople Outside of T-Mobile Not Receiving My Texts
Hi everyone! As of late Wednesday, it appears that people who do not have T-Mobile aren't receiving my text messages. To me, they look like they're sent, however, both Verizon and AT&T customers aren't receiving anything on their end. I spoke to T-Mobile via Facebook and I've done the following: Cleared cache on phone Cleared cache and data on messages app Made sure all apps (Google Play and Galaxy Store) were up-to-date Made sure phone was up-to-date Reset network settings Reset all settings Deleted all messages in my phone (and emptied the trash) Turned on and off airplane mode Turned on and off most connections/network type settings Restarted my phone way too many times They told me I can come in-person today and get a new SIM card. I'm hoping that fixes it, however, I'm wondering if anyone else has had the same problem or has ideas? T-Mobile says my account looks fine and everything on their end looks fine. My phone is a Galaxy S21 and is only 1.5 years old, and I've been with T-Mobile for years.10KViews1like50Comentariossudden text/SMS problems on galaxy s22+
noticed at around 7pm CST last night, my phone started having problems sending text and SMS messages. hit send in the samsung messages app, and the little ‘sending’ pinwheel would just spin and spin. sometimes, after 5-10 mins, it would send. picture/multimedia messages are all still failing with a ‘network error occurred’ pop up. ive rebooted my phone several times. toggled airplane mode on and off several times toggled to 4g lte only network, and back ‘reset’ my mobile network settings nothing has helped so far. i can surf the internet on 5G, so i dont think its a data service issue (yet). seems limited to text and sms. tests seem to be sending better today, but still takes anywhere between 5-30 seconds for the pinwheel to stop and the message to be sent. sometimes ill get double or more copies of replies. any issues going on in the west minneapolis metro? edit: issues with texts have returned. just saw a pop up ‘ unable to send messages. they will be sent when the service [returns?]’ it flashed up and went away pretty quickly, so i wasnt able to recount the exact error message. 5 bars of 5G UC, but says (searching) in the upper left corner. tower issue perhaps? toggled airplane mode off and on again to force a mobile network reconnection, now says t mobile in the upper left corner of my screen. texts are taking 10-30secs to send again, but hey! at least they send, i guess.. getting pretty annoyed!41Visto0likes0ComentariosText messages not sending and being received
Samsung Galaxy s24 Ultra here. Yesterday I started to have a problem sending and receiving text messages. I would send messages and they would go through hours later, same for receiving. This is happening with a known iPhone user and a known Android user. Any idea what the issue is?57Visto0likes0Comentariostexts not received from other carriers
Hi! I have been a T-Mobile customer for approximately 2 weeks. When I first transferred my service from Verizon, I was receiving all of my text messages. Two days after switching, all texts stopped from people outside of T-Mobile. I can send text messages and people receive them but I cannot receive text messages from anybody with another carrier, and I cannot receive MMS messages from T-Mobile users. When I contacted customer service, they directed my issue to engineering who responded that I needed a new sim card. I went into the T-Mobile store, got a new SIM, which did not make my text messages push through. So, they thought that it was a device issue and I purchased a new Pixel 4A. The issue still is not fixed. When I re-contacted customer service, they put another request for the engineers. My text messages pushed through approximately 3 to 4 days later. Then I stopped receiving messages again and it was pushed back to engineering. A few days after that all of my text messages came through and I had messaging for about 5 days. Yet again, my messages stopped. Engineers' response was that I need a new phone. I'm not quite sure how that would fix this issue because I already did get a new phone with a new SIM card and that didn't fix the messaging issue. Does anybody have an idea?19KViews1like27Comentariossome text messages are not immediately received and delayed by hours up to days
There appears to be a network store and forward message transmission delay occurring frequently with text messages. Several of my contacts I frequently text with will send me text messages that will not hit my inbox for many hours up to days later. It's like they're caught in some buffer that stores them and sends them all at once as several blocks appear in a second, time date stamped several hours to days earlier. My physical location doesn't change so I doubt the problem is on my end however my phone is of the type you cant take the battery out of so who knows what's running on it. This issue never happened with my services before T-Mobile to where I have ever noticed it like I do now.3.5KViews3likes6ComentariosMissing texts on multiple lines - no record in usage report
My wife and I both have Pixel 7 Pro phones with the latest updates installed. We are both in a group text with 2 other people who both have iPhones on Verizon. We'll call themBob and Sue for context. Two nights ago, she received a message in the group text from Sueand I did not. Looking at usage reports on T-Mobile it shows a record on my wife's account of the message from Sue's number but looking at my account it does not. Today, I received a message in the group text from Sue and she did not. Again, looking at usage reports I see the message on my account but not on her account. Based on this, I am assuming that this is NOT something with our phones as T-Mobile systems don't even show these messages in the usage reports. I'd contact support but I'm not sure it would get anywhere and likely they would pass the blame to the other carrier or say it was our phone or the senders phone. Thoughts? Anyone have this happen?414Visto1like1ComentarioManaged network and enterprise messaging on a Consumer Account

Hey folks - so I haven't been able to receive SMS messages for approximately 3 days. Here's what I know: I spent 2 hours on the phone with T-Mobile customer support doing all the settings checks, resetting the network, changing the tower, etc on my iPhone 13 Pro Max. She escalated to engineering support and said someone would get back to me in 72 hours. She mentioned going to a T-Mobile store so I did that. They also checked all the settings and did the network stuff. Didn't resolve. They changed the eSim. Didn't resolve. I got desperate and upgraded to the iPhone 15 Pro Max. They said they weren't sure if it was the phone or the service butthoughtit was probably the phone. Reader: it was not the phone. So now, I have a brand new phone that also doesn't receive SMS messages. T-Mobile store associates told me to call Apple. Called Apple. Support escalated me pretty quickly to a "senior advisor." The senior advisor did diagnostics and phone checks (again, the phone is now 3 hours old). Nothing came back. He conferenced in T-Mobile. New customer service rep. Tried to get me to do all the same settings checks/network resets as the last one. Said I'd wait for the call between now and 72 hours. I've read every help thread I can find. It's not anything related to DNS settings. Has anyone else had this problem and found any type of solution? I've been a T-Mobile customer for 20 years and have never had a problem like this. The first customer service person kept saying, "Oh wow. This is really rare." The store associates said they'd never seen it before. I CANNOT DO MY JOB.91Visto0likes1ComentarioEmail to SMS via @tmomail.net Not Working
