syncup drive

I recently added the SyncUP & Drive device to my account - we are long-time T-Mobile customers and have not had any problems whatsoever besides this to date. My son was getting his license and I wanted to be able to monitor his driving. The SyncUP device worked like a charm for the first week or two, until the battery started dying nearly every night. This battery had been replaced less than 6 months prior, so there should not have been an issue. I was going on a trip, so I decided to let him drive my SUV while I was out of town since he was having problems with the battery and I wanted him in a more reliable vehicle. I also have a new battery in my vehicle, about one year old and also had my alternator replaced between 2-3 years ago. Well, when I was on my trip my battery started dying and then after a couple of days my son had the vehicle completely stall on him while driving. This device not only killed my battery, but my alternator! Fortunately, the batteries were both still under warranty but my alternator cost me a pretty penny. These devices sound absolutely amazing for teen drivers but they are most definitely too good to be true!Solved8KViews2likes32ComentariosNew SyncUP Drive Needs TLC
Overview-Except in cases where it fixes a very annoying bug, the legacy product is clearly superior to the new version. Were it not for that bug, we would go back to the legacy version in a heartbeat. False Low Oil Pressure Alerts Seem Fixed- Really happy about this. Our opinion is that this is really the only reason to upgrade from the SD-7000T to the SD-7000T1. Dealer mechanics said nothing was wrong with the cars. We believe the mechanics, besides, if there really had been a problem, after a year of driving, at least one of these vehicles would have had an engine failure. Suspect that the problem is that hybrids often shut off the engine and run on the battery. If you check the engine while it is off, the oil pressure could easily be low. Things were fine, then suddenly our hybrids were constantly generating these. So we suspect a firmware update. Exporting of Trip Reports Needs A Lot of Attention- The legacy version would include a csv file for each vehicle in a single export. For the new version, it seems that you have to select each vehicle separately and send a report for that vehicle. The legacy version had the files named corresponding to the vehicle. For the new version, the files are named the same, no matter which vehicle they are for. So you get to guess. Clearly, not friendly for anyone wanting to use this product for business purposes. Hybrid Battery Level is MIA-Does not show hybrid battery level. Previous versions did. Voltage Trends are MIA-The legacy version also showed a chart of battery voltage trends. This version lacks that feature. Entry Problem-Won't take space in auto license tag#. Our tag does have a space, and the old version correctly accepted it. Slow Onboarding-Adding a new vehicle/device takes too long. App says 15 minutes. Support says may take 1/2 hour. After driving around for 45 minutes to an hour, gave up and went home and shut off the car. A couple of hours later, I looked and that step had completed. Since it completed well after the vehicle was off, it would seem that the delay is something outside of the device in the vehicle. Given the 4G connection speed, one would expect this to take seconds, not fractions of an hour. Maybe some back end system needs to be upgraded from a PC/XT to a Pentium? Harder To Plug In-This is minor. But SD-7000T1 seemed to be a bit more difficult to plug into the OBD2 connector than prior devices. Perhaps a slight difference in the connector lead-in taper, etc. Not sure why. Odometer Value is MIA-The SD7000T1 can not read the odometer on one of our vehicles, so the reports have all zeros for this value. Ability To Use Any Device With Either App-Since some devices work best with some vehicles, while other devices work better with other vehicles, It would be nice if all SyncUP Drive devices (6200, 6500, 7000T, 7000T1) would work with both the new App and the legacy app. Or have the new App support all the devices and all the functionality of the legacy app. Ability To Create Additional Trip Categories-Both versions only have a couple of trip categories. There are categories worth tracking besides just Business and non-business. Indeed, there are other tax-deductible vehicle uses. It would be nice if we could create additional trip categories corresponding to our needs. Display of Multiple Vehicles-If you have more than two SyncUP Drive equipped vehicles parked near each other, the Legacy App better shows them, while the new app seems to only show two. 5G-Given all the hoopla about 5G (wasn't 5G even one of the justifications for acquiring Sprint?) it is sort of surprising that a 5G upgrade still hasn't come out. Limited Admin Access-It would be really nice if one had a bit more control. The first version did actually have a administrative web interface. Would be nice to be able to turn bluetooth and WiFi off and on. To be able to pair bluetooth with other devices. Website Data Not Reliable-T-Mobile has a website which claims to report what features work with which vehicles and which SyncUP Drive models. Unfortunately, the data on that website is not all that reliable. I am one of the many who had the SprintDRIVE and loved it. Does T-Mobile have any plans for the SyncUP Drive to do the following the SprintDRIVE could? 1. Have the data in real time, and not this 2 to 3 minutedelay we currently see? 2. Support a 2019 GMC Yukon XL . 3. Log onto awebsite through a computer and download your trips on a monthly basis for business purposes? Gracias,351Visto0likes3ComentariosSyncup Drive app signed out and unable to login
The app all the sudden logged me out 2 hours ago after I was normally using it this morning. Every time I put in my correct credentials, It keeps telling me invalid credentials and I made sure everything was right. I tried resetting my password, but it keeps telling me it has difficulty to reach servers. App Cache and app data has been erased on my phone and deleting the app didn't work. ¿Cuál es el problema?362Visto3likes7Comentariossyncup tracker, and snycup drive
I bought and installed a syncup drive in my Yukon that I let mydaughter use, I made sure to hide the port way up in the dash to make sure it wasn't visible. I installed a syncup tracker in my truck that I let my son use I hidit in the dash completely out of site. They both found their trackers in my cars. Their phone told them there were unregistered trackers near them. Their phones helped them locate the trackers. My daughter got all the way up in the dash and unplugged it and gave it back to me. My son showed me the notification he got from his phone. But he can't remember where the tracker isnow. I've search the last known location and tried to make it make noise but the battery is dead. My children do nit share phone account with thuer abuela pays for thuer phone. They did not know that i purchased these trackers or installed them. How did my children devices discover my trackers? How do I make my trackers invisible so they won't find them again?116Visto0likes0ComentariosSyncUP Drive not reading diagnostic codes
I have a new SD 7000T1 and plugged it into my '09 Ford F150 for about a week, and over 200 miles driven so far. The engine health tab still shows that the "information isn't available right now". I have unplugged it and plugged back in, reset it. Driven without it, then driven with it andtried it again. Still nothing. Any suggestions?1.1KViews0likes8Comentarios
