On the box, it says "Splash-friendly & water resistant" however, on the documentation inside it says, "This product including adaptor should not be left in the rain, exposure to water dropped and crushed or otherwise abused". I recently added the SyncUP & Drive device to my account - we are long-time T-Mobile customers and have not had any problems whatsoever besides this to date. My son was getting his license and I wanted to be able to monitor his driving. The SyncUP device worked like a charm for the first week or two, until the battery started dying nearly every night. This battery had been replaced less than 6 months prior, so there should not have been an issue. I was going on a trip, so I decided to let him drive my SUV while I was out of town since he was having problems with the battery and I wanted him in a more reliable vehicle. I also have a new battery in my vehicle, about one year old and also had my alternator replaced between 2-3 years ago. Well, when I was on my trip my battery started dying and then after a couple of days my son had the vehicle completely stall on him while driving. This device not only killed my battery, but my alternator! Fortunately, the batteries were both still under warranty but my alternator cost me a pretty penny. Hello, Is anyone having issues with the SyncUp Kids Watch 1.5, that is a Sprint customer? I just got my watch today and when I go the app, I created a TMobile ID using my email. When I go to pair the watch, it says "Watch has wrong rate plan. Please contact Customer Care and let our team know your watch has an invalid rate plan." I have the Unlimited Watch Plan for $15/month. When I called Customer service they switched the plan to the other one, 500mb plan, and it still wasn't working. We've restarted the watch multiple times, uninstalled and reinstalled the app. I spent hours on the phone with customer service as well the chat sessions. No one has been able to help. I bought the SyncUp tracker to use in my daughter's backpack for school. How long should the battery last before having to charge it? Per the Website the battery is supposed to last up to 7 days but this one the battery is drained half way by the time she gets home from school and so I have to charge it everyday. Long story short -- dog chewed up charging cable for my new SyncUp Tracker, can;t find replacement. Not listed among charging accessories on T-Mobile site, not found on eBay, etc. using Internet search. I know this is a CoolPad rebranded tracker of some sort, no lucksearching their website, no similar model exists. I understand SyncUp Kids is no more. I installed the T-Life app on my phone as directed. I'm logged in and have the correct phone number showing up on my screen, but when I go to click next I am seeing "something went wrong. Please try again." I really NEED to see where my child is. This is because of a bus drop off in the afternoon and ensuring I am there on time for her sometimes early bus. That is the whole reason I bought the SyncUP watch. When I click to open the syncup app for the watch, I get a little pop up on the opening screen right before it crashes that says:all items core api failing. Started yesterday and still! Can't track without this app. Tried clearing data, cache, uninstalling app, reinstalling app, and no luck. What is going on? I'm seeing several others also complained yesterday of the same issue. Can tmobile provide an update, especially considering this is a feature for children's safety monitoring? I've had inconsistent reliability with tracking since getting this thing 12 months ago and locked down for another year with it. This wasn't what I agreed to as far as service and reliability.
