80 TopicsText messages are randomly delayed by up to a day
I've been seeing this off and on for months in group texts mostly, but also in direct texts as well. The problem is that text messages are often delayed by up to 24 hours and then dumped all at once into my phone. This is looking to be a TMobile issue. I'm on an iPhone 11 Pro with the latest version of iOS. To sum up: This is only with text messages, not iMessage or other messaging apps. This happens when I have a good signal and a wifi connection in my house, but it has also happened when I'm out and have only cellular, but still a good signal. The other people in group chats are spread across numerous different carriers. None of them have reported this. The usual phone troubleshooting steps (quit the Messages application, restart the phone, etc) do absolutely nothing. I checked the activity logs in my TMobile account. The text messages in question all came through at the same time according to the logs. It looks like it's somehow getting delayed inside of TMobile's system. I've missed some texts due to this that were relatively time-sensitive. I don't think I need to express my frustration at something as old and dead-simple as SMS/MMS getting screwed up like this. It also doesn't help my frustration when the browser based Places/Topics Browser is hopelessly broken and the page I'm using to write this keeps auto-scrolling down when I interact with a number of elements on the page.42KViews22likes37Comentarios127 or 128 mean in my incoming text log
Does anyone know where text messages are coming from when it is displayed in the incoming text log as 127 or 128? I seem to be getting many of these codes but I don't recall receiving the texts…. But I see it in my text message log.Solved17KViews5likes13ComentariosDelay in sending picture text messages
I am having a huge delay in sending a picture via text message. At times it takes twenty minutes at others it takes ten minutes, and that is if it sends at all. Regular texts go through right away. The pictures i send are ones i take, or screenshots so they aren't very big. This very annoying, does anybody know what I can do to fix this? It's only in sending, I receive pictures from other people with no problem.26KViews4likes41ComentariosText Messages that come delayed for up to 4 days or Not At all.
Hi We have a Samsung A32 5g (pervious issued phone was an A22) and anGalaxy S21 Ultra 5G. T-Mobile Corporate (CS) sent us to the store to get (free) new sim cards due to an ongoing issue with our phones due to the INABILITY to send and receive on time text messages since before Aug 2021,(when I had an A22) This is only with text messages. This happens when I have a good signal and a Wi-Fi connection in my house, but it has also happened when I'm out and have only cell signal with GREAT SIGNAL. We have tried it with other carriers with people, and it still doesn't work all the time. The usual phone troubleshooting steps (quitting the Messages application, restartingthe phones, hard resets, brand new phones, even different messaging apps) do absolutely nothing. I should add FaceBook messenger works, but meh. We checked the activity logs in ourT-Mobile account, and the read, delivered, and sent, in the APP it self. which doesn't always work. It's been confirmed many times now thatT-Mobilesees the delays and missed messages. To fix this problem we got a free sim card at the store. (we have done all the technical work with T-Mobile Tech Support at the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd tier Levels, AND having them E-mail the Engineers 2 times.) Which we NEVER received any information back about. In fact they closed the trouble ticket and marked it as resolved! I had to ask about it.We are 16+ year customers and I am no longer recommending T-Mobile to our friends and Family. UNFORTUNATLEY for them, T-Mobile'sCorporate Store tried to give him 3 different sim cards and after THEM calling corporate, it got the PHONE basically bricked, and unusable after TRYING too many times. Got him Flagged by the FRAUD DEPARTMENT. Told him he would have to wait an hour for it to come back to working. FOUR HOURS LATER, it's not working still. So on call to the Call to CS. SoIwas on the phone with then for 1 hour and 56 mins to tell me the FRAUD department does ONLY emails and it wouldtake 24-48 hours for them to get a response, for them to call me and TRUST that them after everything. There is no number and no transfer ability for customers or CS to call them. So no phone for 24-48 hours? After we have been taking our time patience, and gasoline to fix this issue. This is a Corporate Store that LET him leave the store without fixing their mistake. I will be filing a report on the store with T-Mobile, Because you let a customer leave without fixing his problem and making it worse. This should have been simple. I should also mention he went back and forth to the store TWICE to resolve this issue. starting at 10am, on 3/19/22. We do not feel we where given the attention, dedication, and service that we deserve as customers, let alone people. This may end up with us ending our history with T-Mobile as Customers. 16 years of loyalty to end up this way.5.1KViews4likes8ComentariosHow is it possible that Texting via all forms of data isnt working?
Text messages are not working for me (I am receiving sporadically but they are not sending according to multiple Messaging Apps) I'm not a network pro, but if I have WiFi working, Mobile Data working (I can post this question, for instance using my fold), how the heck are texts not finding a way to send? Tried SMS, WiFi calling on/off, RCS on/off, mobile data on/off, and all permutations. Even restarted the device. Duration thus far: 2 hours. Is there an authentication glitch on the TMobile Network? I live in the middle of a big city, I thought 5G meant that there was some tiny amount of robustness and redundancy. Is there some other dependency I do not know about that would mean out going texts fail despite full internet access? The fact this can happen with internet working seems unacceptable especially given thepremium prices. VM is also unavailable to access. There's shockingly little live outtage communication on this website or via support, which is unhelpful. Though it is easy to see the problem affects many others. If I were an enterprise customer something like this would seriously damage my faith in the network stability and redundancy best practices. If there is some otherdependency that often lacka backup (such as authentication) then there should have been a communication on the front page of the site detailing the issue and expected time to fix. These should be considered some of the most basic, barely adequate, business practices, in my opinion, and doubly so for a utility company.187Visto3likes4Comentariossome text messages are not immediately received and delayed by hours up to days
There appears to be a network store and forward message transmission delay occurring frequently with text messages. Several of my contacts I frequently text with will send me text messages that will not hit my inbox for many hours up to days later. It's like they're caught in some buffer that stores them and sends them all at once as several blocks appear in a second, time date stamped several hours to days earlier. My physical location doesn't change so I doubt the problem is on my end however my phone is of the type you cant take the battery out of so who knows what's running on it. This issue never happened with my services before T-Mobile to where I have ever noticed it like I do now.3.5KViews3likes6ComentariosNot receiving texts from Verizon carriers!
Hello Everyone, I'm looking for some sort of help if anyone has encountered the issue that I am having. I recently tried to make a switch over to Verizon from T-mobile and had begun the process online. Mistake number 1. In trying to do so I did not realized that I needed transfer of liability from the account that I was under in order to have my own account. After realizing how much of a mess it was to even do that I decided it was not worth it to switch after all and decided to stick with T-Mobile. Before my number could be on my own account the T-mobile rep said that my number was ported to verizon and needed to be ported back. I had called Verizon and had them port my number back as they said my number was only partially ported. After all that I had my own account on T-mobile. Now I am not receiving messages from ANY Verizon carriers and I dont know what is going on. Verizon carriers are able to receive my messages and calls but I cannot receive messages from them, just calls. I have spoken to multiple people with tmobile up to the engineers and they have stated that everything is clean on their end and have even rebroadcasted my number. I have tried every possible thing that I could on the phone in order to see if I could resolve the issue but have not had any luck. I talked with a verizon rep today and they said that my account would be deactivated when the billing cycle ends in February but only stated the messaging issue was on tmobiles end. I am stuck, losing serious hope, and no longer know what to do. Can anyone help???????9.2KViews2likes42ComentariosText Usage shows tons of texts that were never sent or recieved
Checked text usage and noticed a ridiculous number of texts incoming/outgoing with a friends number that i talk to a lot. There are blocks where it says 10 plus messages incoming in the same minute and at times and on days we never texted. In a one week time span there are 54 pages of these and we were barely communicating through text. The time stamps also make no sense even if you consider the PST time zone difference. Has anyone else noticed anything like this?3.7KViews2likes8ComentariosTMobile Engineer / Operations Support - TMO blocking email to text from sendgrid seriously impacting business
Hi, Tmobile just recently changed protocol about 10 days ago. We are an answering service and we've been seeing the majority of our messages to doctors, business owners, etc being blocked from Tmobile. Sendgrid is showing that Tmobile is blocking the messages in an effort to cut down on spam. All of our messages are legitimate. Sendgrid is trying to push us to using Twilio's Text to Text API (which I suspect is because Sendgrid was bought out by Twilio and trying to get us to pay an arm and a leg for per text messaging rates). I need to reach out to t-mobile to determine how all of our messages can be added to a whitelist. Blocking our legitimate messages to our customers because they originate from email instead of text to text is seriously impacting our business and we need to find a work around for this asap. That or our only immediate solution will be to tell hundreds of t-mobile uses to switch carriers. I need to get a phone number or email to someone that has the authority to help with this issue - someone w/ TMobile's engineer team - is there someone who can point me in the right direction on who to reach out to. The general TMO support line has been no help despite multiple calls and multiple messages that have amounted to - "don't call us, we'll call you..." and we have yet to hear ANYTHING back after a week and a half!272Visto2likes1ComentarioiPhone wil not send an RCS message after updating to iOS 18
After iOS 18 was made available, I had downloaded the update on my iPhone 13 Pro Max. I was anticipating trying out the RCS messaging feature, I discovered right away that it isn't allowing rcs messages to be sent or received. in order to try to resolve the issue I went and searched for solutions. I have tried, restarting the phone, toggling on and off airplane mode, and resetting network settings. NONE of these solutions worked. last thing I did was I checked for a carrier updated and it is up to date. I further checked the IMS status and it shows that only voice and sms is allowed, and RCS is missing. knowing that is under E-SIM, I knew it had to do with T-mobile. I have called T-Mobile customer care 3 times. the first call, they weren't knowledgeable on the subject of RCS. eventually I was transferred to a "Tech Specialist" that created a trouble ticket. a second call to see If I could get a knowledgeable customer service rep and I was referred to Apple suspecting it was a software problem. Apple refers me back to T-mobile stating that they don't have control over the RCS working on the network and that is the issue of T-Mobile. attempt 3 with T-Mobile consisted of deleting my E-SIM and downloading a new one, which did not fix the RCS unavailability fiasco. I was suggested that I do a factory reset or a settings reset but at this point I don't think this the problem. Has anyone experienced this problem? if so have you resolved it? whad did you do? if it is all about IMS allowing RCS, how did you fix that? thanks in advance.Solved11KViews1like39Comentarios
