So, I have taken advantage of $500 off for Galaxy S20 FE with Trade-In. I have the new phone with me. However, I literally can't find Trade-In Label or Instructions anywhere on my account. Can someone please help me out in this regard? Also, I did return an unopened OnePlus 8 back to T-Mobile and it was received on Monday. How many days would it take before my account is updated and the device is removed from EIP status?Solved59KViews3likes8ComentariosWill T-mobile accept a phone for trade-in with a cracked back glass?
My wife and I are trying to take advantage of the promotional phone trade-in offer to upgrade our paid off phones to a newer phone. One of the phones has a cracked back glass, a Samsung Note 10+. The crack has the spider web lines spread throughout the entire back of the phone. The rest of the phone works as normal with nothing disqualifying the phone for trade-in; according to their guidelines listed on this page by T-Mobile:https://www.t-mobile.com/support/devices/device-troubleshooting/check-the-condition-of-a-device#heading1 No LCD or Screen damage No Liquid damage The device turns on Find my IPhone andanti-theft disabled- Will Factory Reset. There is no guidance on whether or not back glass damage is a disqualifier for trade-in or a reason to value the phone for less. The trade-in value for theNote 10+ 5G is $68.00, with the promotional trade-in offer for a S23 phone is $500.00 via monthly credits. I've gone through multiple threads from the previous years; with a 50/50 split of people with the same issue, are getting the full promotional offer and others getting disqualified or a reduced promotional offer. At the end of the day we you can't get past the contract that binds you from sending the new device back and get your old device from T-Mobile. The ball is in their court, they decide whether you get a full/partial/no valuation for your trade-in phone. While you get stuck with whatever they offer you. Hopefully this document gets updated soon so current and future customers feel more confident about trading in their phones.30KViews0likes2ComentariosHow to package old phone for trade-in
TLDR; when trading in your phone through the mail, are you supposed to receive a trade-in kit in the mail seperatelyto sendyour old phone in? Or do you have to go in the store and ask them to do it for you? So I'm supposed to send in my old phone as part of the trade-in process, and I'm confused on how to send them my old phone? I've received the new phone...and when I made the arrangements in store they said I should receive a separate box to mail in my old phone with all the information on how to do it inside, butI've yet toreceiveit, and it's been about 5 days since the order was made, 3 days since having the phone they sent me. I looked at the shipping label on my order status and I scanned the code to either schedule a pick up or go to the post office- If I go to the post office will they package it for me? Is it similar to like an Amazon return or do I have to package it myself? I honestly feel like the answeris so simple and for some reason it'sjust going rightover my head.Should I maybe just use the package it came in and smack the pre-paid shipping label on top of the old one and send it in??? Muchconfusion. Need halp. Verythanks!19KViews0likes3ComentariosWhy charge a upgrade fee?
I know when you go to a store to purchase new plan or upgrade phone they charge you a 35.00 fee for each phone you upgrade. When you plan on doing 4 or more phones that fee should be waived or adjusted to a flat fee of 80 or 100.00? But what if you do it online through the website and have the devices shipped to you. Does that fee still apply? I am trying to way out my options before I upgrade my currents devices? Its not tike they have to do much work. The Phones transfer all the info for you. All the store reps have to do is scan the new phones and the required info for their service to know what phone you have and what line its too. and then the Samsung phone will switch all your information over tot he new phone. I was told at T Mobile that I could receive $800 for my iPhone 11 which would go towards my bill for the iphone 13 pro max. The bill is originally $36 for 30 months before the credit. They printed the labels & told me that I needed to send it in. When I get home I see that the label said customer accepted value$180. Which is very untrue. No price other than $800 was discussed if I knew it was only worth $180 I wouldn't of accepted the phone.Did this happen to you? If so were you able to return whatever phone you accepted & get out of contract? Or complain & get more than what was on your label.12KViews1like6ComentariosTrade in an old device on an existing line
Today, I went into my T-Mobile account and click through to upgrade a device, selected the iPhone 13 128GB, and chose the iPhone 8 on an existing line for trade-in and it said I would get $600 bill credit back over 24 months. Does that sound too good to be true? I then tried to select another line with an iPhone 12 mini 64GB for the trade in and it said I would get $800! More than what it sells for!. I then entered the info for an old iPhone 6 Plus 64GB for the trade-in and it said I would get $500! Are these real? For these trade-ins I tried to click through, there is a fine print that says "Pricing shown may reflect a future dated rate plan change in effect on your next bill cycle." Is this a sneaky way to charge me for a more expensive plan? I'm looking to upgrade the iPhone 8 to an iPhone 13 on one of my 5 lines. I am currently on the ONE plan and absolutely do not want to change to a more expensive Magenta plan whatsoever. Has anyone else tried to go through with these trade-in upgrade on their account?8.6KViews0likes3ComentariosTrade in Issues
I got the iPhone 12 pro Max and traded in my iPhone X for the $830 promo. I mailed my device on November 24th, walked into the post office and got a receipt for proof I dropped it off.I got the return label directly from a T-mobile store since I couldn't print it at home. I kept the customer copy as well. It's being shipped to Assurant in Texas but my tracking number hasn't been updated since December 2nd. It was supposed to arrive Nov. 30th but got pushed back due to holidays I'm assuming. It needs to be returned by December 20th so now I'm getting paranoid. I'm calling them tomorrow and asking if it would still be honored even if the package got lost. It's not my fault since I did everything correctly. Also all the links on the T-mobile website and app are useless! They just take me to the log in and that's it. So frustrating! I wouldn't have switched over if I knew they're this unorganized. anyone have any similar experiences? I can't open a claim with the USPS since I don't know the exact address it's getting shipped to. My fault for not taking a picture of the label. I just know it's the Assurant in Lewisville, TX 75057.Solved8.4KViews2likes16ComentariosWarehouse "never received" my trade-in device
I used the trade-in offer for my Iphone X 64GB for the IPhone 12 Pro Max in retail, which the product was mailed to me a week after. The same day that I received the new phone, I had dropped the trade-in phone (IPhone X) to USPS. On December 2, my tracking depicted that it had arrived at the warehouse. A week later I never got the rebate I was told I would receive and I decided to call them. They said there would be an investigation in which 5 days later (December 10) I received an email that they did not have any information that they received the trade-in. I clearly did return it, so what am I supposed to do now. I am still receiving messages that I have to return the phone despite messaging the team multiple times. All their responses were to wait. This is making me go insane.Solved8.3KViews1like45ComentariosI'm really worried! TRADE-IN ASSESSMENT - Accepted Value $0.00
Hi, I just did the most recent iPhone 12 trade-in deal to get $300 monthly bill credit. On Check Order Status page, initially it showed"TRADE-IN ASSESSMENT - Original estimated value:$78.00". After I sent in my trade-in phone, thenI received text from T-Mobilesays "Your T-Mobile Apple iPhone 7 Plus 128GB Back - T-Mobile with serial number xxxxx has been received and is currently being processed.." Later, another text from T-Mobile says "T-Mobile promo msg: The trade-in for line xxx-xxx-xxxx is complete and will receive a monthly bill credit for the 2020 Apple Trade P16 promotion as long as you maintain edibility & service..." Now, I just received another text from T-Mobile asking me to ship my phone again!!! "Please ship your T-Mobile Apple iPhone 7 Plus 128GB Black -T-Mobile with serial number xxxxx by <mm/dd/yy> in order to receive your monthly bill credit" Freaked out, I went back and check theCheck Order Status page again, and now it shows "TRADE-IN ASSESSMENT - Accepted Value $0.00" with GREEN check. What's going on here?! I'm super confused :-( First T-Mobile accepted my phone, told me that I will receive the credit, now T-Mobile asks me to ship that same phone again (which already in T-Mobile procession)…else I would NOT get the credit?!!! Also the Accepted Value mysteriously changed to $0??? Btw, my phone is in very good condition, no crack screen, no liquid etc.. I also turned off Find My iPhone (per T-Mobile instruction), sign out / removed from my iCloud account, reset it to factory and all that. I have done so soo many times for others, and I'm sure I know what I'm doing.I'm really nervous, as I did trade-in total 4 phones for my family. Please helppppppp!!!! Thanks!8KViews0likes7Comentarios
