6 TopicsPhone is intermittently switching to "Emergency Calls Only"
I had a Samsung Galaxy S20+. It had worked properly until a month or two ago, when I noticed the phone would intermittently leave the T-Mobile network and only allow Emergency Calls. I was unable to receive or make calls and texts during those periods, which could last for 20-30 minutes at a time. Since I was due for an upgrade, I assumed that switching to a new phone would resolve the issue. I got a Galaxy Z Flip5. I migrated my data over from the old phone using Smart Switch, and noticed that the problem was occurring on my new phone. So I backed up everything on Samsung Cloud, performed a factory reset on the new phone, and restored the data (minus the settings, since I thought there might be a rogue setting causing this). This did not resolve the issue. I did another factory reset and deleted the e-sim, in the event that something in the SIM card was causing the issue. I replaced it with a physical SIM. No change. After the last factory reset, I restored everything from Samsung Cloud and then reset the mobile network settings. No change. I verified that there were no system updates available. I disabled 2G on the phone, as the T-Mobile reps suggested there could be a conflict between 5G and 2G. No change. In the access point names, I've verified that the APN is correct (fast.t-mobile.com - I'm in the US). In the Network Operators section, it is set to Select Automatically. I turned that off and attempted to register on T-Mobile, which works. But after a while the phone goes back to only allowing emergency calls. This happens everywhere I go, so it doesn't appear to be signal issue. My wife is not experiencing this issue with her phone, so it appears to be restricted to my phone/account in some way. I'm at a loss as to how to proceed.1KViews0likes12ComentariosConnected No internet (downstream at WAP)
Every once in a while, we would see on our devices "connected, no internet" and a reboot would always correct it. That said, I have a shielded, buriedcable connected to the router that terminates to a TP Link that has always worked, with the only problem is getting the same error. But once again, at a Windows desktop that utilizes the TP Link WAP, the "connected, no internet" is observed. I have rebooted the router, the WAP, the desktop several times. All the while we do not see the error 'upstream'. TheWAP indicates everything is working (pwr, 2.4, 5) except for the internet. Any advice?37Visto0likes0ComentariosCellSpot v1 Not Powering On
I've been using a CellSpot (model 9961 Home Cell V1) for a couple years without issue. The other day (5/1/23) I came home from work and noticed I had no cell service. I checked the CellSpot and all lights were off except Power which was solid orange. I checked the cables and everything was plugged in. I noticed the device was quite warm and thought maybe it overheated so I unplugged it and let it cool down. After it was cool, I plugged everything back in and only got the solid orange Power LED. I let it sit overnight, but was in the same state the next morning. Not hot, just orange Power LED. I checked the Tmobile webpage for the CellSpot (https://www.t-mobile.com/support/coverage/4g-lte-cellspot-setup-and-help) and it does not list the solid orange Power LED in the "Light sequences for issues" section. I tried the Reset button on the back, but that also did nothing. I checked the ethernet connection by using the CellSpot cable plugged into my laptop and there is a solid network connection, so it's not an internet/connection issue. It just seems to not be sending power, I guess? Are there any other troubleshooting steps I missed? Is there a better/V2 option I can get?94Visto0likes0ComentariosNew Phone not Connecting to T-mobile Network
Hello, I bought a new phone, the Kyocera 702KC. It is fully unlocked and when I popped my SIM in, it gave me a bar and I attempted to make a call, in the middle of the ringing, I got disconnected and can not join T-mobile again. I was told to set-up APN, but I do not know what to type in. When I go to network setting, and click on T-mobile, it says "can't connect to this network right now, try again later"Solved1.8KViews1like13Comentarioswifi connected and secured, still doesnt work
I have had T-Mobile WiFi for 2 months and I have been having the same issue at least 3-4times a week. Sometimes it's randomly in the day, but the majority of the time between 9-11pm or 6-9am, my wifi will stop working correctly. Every device connected and the gateway will say everything is connected and secure, but the wifi doesn't work. Most of the time, websites buffer and then go out completely to the point where it's as if I'm not connected to wifi at all. sometimes if I'm lucky the wifi will just be really slow (like taking 30 seconds to do one thing slow) but I can still access things. Just getting on this website and typing this out took me 20 minutes to do.I have tried the following: limited the number of devices connected unplugged and replugged the gateway (do this at least 3-4 times every time this happens) rebooted every device connected changed the location of the gateway 3 times troubleshooted called customer service (just got told to unplug) turned everything off and waited for a while before going back right now, I do many of these things multiple times and none of them work. The only thing I can really do is give up on my studying or homework and try again the next morning, except that now it's stopped working in the morning too.this is really upsetting me because I'm a student that needs to be able to study and do homework at night. It's gotten so bad that I have had to pack up my thingsand pray that there's somethingopen at 10pm with free WiFito turn in assignments or study. When I called customer service about a month ago, I was on the phone for 40 minutes with them just apologizing and telling me to unplug and replug. I got sick of it and haven't called since. If there's anything anyone can suggest I really appreciate it.191Visto0likes1Comentario
