Hello, long story short T-Mobile is not unlocking my phone and not giving me a proper reason about it for over 2 weeks. After more than 10 calls and talked to around 20 people on the customer service side, they are not unlocking the phone. I know that's basically violating the law. But wanted to ask first if there is anything I can do with T-Mobile before involving lawyers.11KViews4likes35ComentariosDevice Unlock Problem! Reason Code: 19
Here comes the vent. about a month ago I canceled my T-Mobile account which had me and my ex-girlfriend on it I wanted to switch to Mint mobile my girlfriend stayed with T-Mobile but they made her get a new account since I was the account holder. I was told that once I pay off my phone and my ex girlfriend gets her new account then my phone would be unlocked and I would be able to take it to Mint mobile. I found out after I had already canceled my account and paid off the phone that the phone would not unlock. since I don't have an account anymore it is very hard to get verified with anyone from T-Mobile I've had to be in a T-Mobile store while talking to a T-Mobile representative on the phone so that the person in the T-Mobile store could verify that I was me and so that the person on the phone could submit a unlock request which I have done three different times!!!! this issue has been escalated three different times also. the device is a Samsung Galaxy s22 Ultra and the reason code is 19 when I try to permanently unlock it on the device. T-Mobile has no answers when I'm able to get through to them but that's only if I'm at a store and talking to a rep on the phone at the same time. the device is a replacement device from Assurant which is another route that I explored for a possible problem but was assured that the IMEI should be in T-Mobile's database even though it's a replacement device. I'm running out of options I don't know what else to do I have $1,000 phone that I'm not able to use to make phone calls or use cell towers and it's so frustrating oh and I also just recently received my final bill in the mail from T-Mobile which is a negative! -$47 balance so now I'm wondering since it's not a zero balance and since T-Mobile owes me money could that be the reason that my locked. Does anyone who has read this far have any suggestions or reasons why my phone is locked? I'll be filing an FCC complaint next because they restricting me from using the device that I legally bought from them. I doubt it causes any progress but maybe someone will see it and care enough to tighten the leash on big companies like T-Mobile.Solved5.6KViews2likes9ComentariosIncredibly horrible incompetent service!
A warning to prospective and current T-Mobile customers...Reconsider this company as your provider if you expect to ever get a phone unlocked and able to be reused. (despite all of their specific criteria being met) - All customer service calls get forwarded to a call center in India where they have no idea how to correct common problems. The primary goal is to prevent the call from being escalated to the floor manager. Even after it is escalated, the managers don't know how to correct common in-houseissues. Even more unfortunate is the factthe local T-Mobile employees who are extremely helpful have no control over this as T-Mobile has implemented a system which prevents common issues from being resolved. Most customers give up and purchase a new phone from a new carrier. Currently I have over 24 hours invested in an attempt to get a single phone unlocked. The wonderful local employees at T-Mobile (ErikFarmer and Matt Maes) have also spent in excess of (7) hours attempting to resolve this issue. Unfortunately, they also have to contact the call center with the same results. I have an appointment tomorrow with an attorney to discuss a possible lawsuit. I have several other people I know with the same problem. My discussion with the attorney will discuss the possibility of a class action lawsuit as I'm sure there are manyother past customers with this issue.268Visto1like12ComentariosPLEASE HELP

why out of these phone services that the phones you sell is premium text denied? it was nit with sprint ? so get this as I figured out they have it blocked on their end so you will call and purchase new phones. Service access denied even for veterans that cannot verify accounts, to bypass this please download google voice and change all your accounts to your google number. AKA voip, tmobile i also fouund out is the only phone carrier that does this so that when you do call they will offer you to spend about 700 on a new phone upgrade. no other company just disables this, sprint even had it enabled til they merged, its all a call away from giving them alot of money ,, we did a story on this on our radio station and as a veteran military no one can ever use their tmobile number to verifuy their accounts to send codes so that you can access your online banks vetrans accounts, go to verizon, i wish i did but after this year i will be done with their asses. If you dont believe me than call…see if they dont offer or add more to your bill with tmobile, no one charges for third party access anymore, its to make sure its you that you logged in and can you believe these idiots are saying they charge?1.3KViews1like5ComentariosNot unlocking 12 pro max
So I am a business customer and not only have I been waiting 3 months for my phone that has been paid off for over a year to be unlocked, TMobile has been arguing with me that my phone was not purchased through them. They don't have an EIP on file although I do in my T-Mobile account. One representative Rene said my phone was unlocked and that it's Apples problem so they transferred to apple care where it was determined that T-Mobile lied. Also many customer service agents have no clue as to what the T-Mobile Unlock policy is, automatically does not mean I have to call in to request that my paid off phone bee unlocked. It was on a valid line for over 3 years, paid off, account is current and T-Mobile still is playing games. In the AM I go to mail a T-Mobile a letter and start the small claims court. keep all your papers cause T-Mobile will lose them and say your phone was never purchased through them even though the EIP has the correct IMEI.85Visto1like6ComentariosThe T-Mobile unlock lie
Here is my story as of 8/15/23: I'm a T-Mobile prepaid customer for several years and was happy with the company so far. I lost my phone on 7/15/23 (ouch) and bought a new Motorola razr+ from T-Mobile on 7/16/23 for $999. Since I knew that I will be abroad for several months, it was important to me that I can also use the phone with a non T-Mobile operator. Thus at the shop the salesperson and me carefully read T-Mobile's "Unlock your mobile device" page (https://www.t-mobile.com/responsibility/consumer-info/policies/sim-unlock-policy). It says: If the devicewas activated less than 365 days ago, then thePrepaid account associated with the device must have had more than $100 in refills during that period for each line active on the account. Además, deben haber pasado más de 14 días desde que se compró el dispositivo. I refilled my account with two payments ($100 and $20), left the US on 28/7/23 and expected to unlock my device 14 days after purchase. Which didn't work. After hours with T-Mobile customer care, my understanding is that the "We're committed to providing you with clear information about unlocking your mobile device." (cited from the aforementioned web page) is not clear enough for the teamwho implemented the unlocking system. As far as I can tell, unlocking is based on days active on the network and has nothing to do with the date of purchase of the device whatsoever. Hence the last sentence should read as "In addition, the device must be active for more than 14 days on the T-Mobile network" instead of "In addition, more than 14 days must have passed since the device was purchased." "Purchased" vs. "activated" - why does it matter you may ask? Well, it does in my case. I'm abroad (not on the T-Mobile network) and won't return to the US for several months. I can't unlock my $999 phone and most likely must buy a second phone to use here. Needless to say that I wouldn't have bought the phone in the first place if T-Mobile would have been honest about their unlocking policy. Thank you, T-Mobile for lying to me and all the time, material and money wasted.4.2KViews1like22ComentariosSim locked but t mobile says fully unlocked
I bought Iphone 14 pro in September and I moved to Indonesia. So I fully paid for my phone before I came here and when I was paying for the device, t mobile expert said that it has been fully unlocked. On my setting, it still says SIM Locked and it is not working here. I called T mobile more than 10 times, they say that it's been fully unlocked but my phone says it is still locked! I even tried to scan a new esim on the phone it says I need to contact the original carrier to unlock the phone. Every time I called all they say is the device is fully unlocked. I was even connected to Apple experts but they could not help me with anything. Apple suggested me to reset the phone, which I have tried. Now I don't know what to do. It's been more than two weeks and I'm not able to use this phone that I've paid $1000 for. Please help!!!Solved10KViews1like28Comentarios
