For the first 6 months T-Mobile home Internet was great. Then, it started having regular outages. I'm now on my 3rd gateway device and still having regular outages. Tech support has recommended move to a 4th, the newer G4 device. If that doesn't work, in looking for a new Internet provider.181Visto1like2ComentariosT-Mobile Censorship?
Why is T-Mobile censoring websites likehttps://dahlonegaarmory.com/? Nothing wrong with this site purely American. I hate that I am paying for a service that censors my navigation of the web. Considering switching back services because of this garbage.591Visto0likes8Comentarios5G home internet keeps dropping
I'm having a problem with T-Mobile 5g home internet that has not been resolved despite many calls in to the help line. I've had T-Mobile 5g home internet for almost a month now, and the short version is that every so often the gateway drops the network. When I say "drop the network," I mean to say it throws everything off of the Wifi that it's broadcasting, and anything plugged in via ethernet says "no network found. (To elaborate this point, cell phones switch to cellular data because wifi is gone for them, and computers hardwired into the gateway think that they are no longer plugged into anything.) Turning off the gateway and turning it back on resolves the issue, but doesn't prevent it from happening again. Whatever is happening doesn't seem to affect our connection speed/strength when the gateway IS providing signal to devices in the home, but due to the nature of our work,we need a connection that won't just disconnect randomly. To address this, T-mobile has so far run a bunch of tests on their end, and seem to have ruled out a tower issue (which makes sense, as the tower shouldn't have anything to do with whether or not the devices on the gateway's wifi or ethernet connection get thrown off of the network.) They've sent me a replacement gateway, which is experiencing the exact same problem(3 times in the last 36 hours, in fact). I've noticed that the device gets pretty warm, so Iset up a computer case fan as a cooler to force air through the device, thinking that perhaps it's an issue with the device overheating. However, while the gateway is notably cooler than it was without the fan, it has not prevented the issue from persisting. The last thing that I can think to do (and my most recent attempt at resolving this issue) is to plug a router into the gateway via ethernet, and allow the router to handle the wifi/connections w/ devices in the house, and to disable wifi from the gateway all together. Maybe the gateway is simply too overburdened with connections and gets somehow overwhelmed and shuts down, and having the router handle the "heavy lifting" of taking care of all of the individual device connections will resolve it? I don't have a great deal of faith that this will fix the issue (as the gateway also kicks ethernet things off of the network when it experiences this problem), but I'm running out of options/ideas of what to do in order to just get a stable, constant internet service. Is anybody else having this issue, has anybody resolved this issue, or does anybody have any advice or feedback regarding how I might get this resolved so that I can get back to having stable internet?73KViews104likes264ComentariosHome internet keeps crashing
When I open the home Internet app most of the time it tells me. That I can't connect dry. Restarting the app, it does it. Primarily when I go to the devices prompt on the app. I've tried restarting the app 100 hundreds of times but nothing works.72Visto0likes1ComentarioBest way to report home internet problem?
Is there a better way to report home internet service trouble besides a time consuming phone call? I am 100% certain that the issue is not with our gateway or any personal equipment. Over the past two days, we have seen download speeds that average about 1 to 1.5 Mbps and upload speeds that are even less. Today, the download speed is back to normal, about 151 Mbps, but the upload speed is still pretty bad at around 1 Mbps. We've had T-Mobile home internet for several months and it's been typically good until these past two or three days. I did call up T-Mobile and they did have their engineers look in to it. That said, when download speed is good but upload speed is bad, how do I report this (other than phone call) and why would there be such a drastic difference? I don't expect the upload speed to be very high, but definitely better than 1 Mbps. I expect it to be say around at least 5 to 8 Mbps.719Visto1like8ComentariosZero Internet in the Morning
Any Ideas? Internet goes out totally nearly every weekday in the time line of 05:30 to 10:00…give or take. So you would think this is because the tower is busy but when I call to see why, I am told each time the tower is not reporting being busy. When I got the service I was told you will have slow speeds (33m or so) during busy times but not zero speed…is this real or was I told wrong. Is this the real story , If the tower is busy it cut off the internet customers? When I call they are all over the trouble and try to figure it out so today when I called I asked point blank..."is this going to work" "should just turn in the gateway and move on?" I am told no and there is some problem we just have not found it yet. Please call back if you have any more problems. I have called so many time I have their troubling shooting check list memorized. Also new to the calls today Is they wanted me to get off the 5G and move to 2.4 GHZ. Seems odd?? One more thing, I reported to them the Cellular metrics RSRP, SINR, as poor but they did not think that was any concern. Other that the above I have no other issues and it works great, no drops, buffing etc. I have other internet options so I do not want to do this forever.303Visto0likes0ComentariosHome internet becoming unreliable after few months
We got T-Mobile home internet AND upgradedto Magenta Max at the same time on our phone plan because it was a total of $50 per month (either pay $50 per month for internet or upgrade to Magenta Maxon phones for $20 and then pay $30 for internet). The internetworked great for the first 2 months. Thenit started dropping signal once, twice, now multiple times a day. I workfrom home and can't be on a zoom call when signal drops. Mywork computer takes longer to find the signal once droppedthan other devices due to vpn and firewalls but that's how companies keep data secure. I've called a T-Mobile and been on the phone for an hour doing all their tests. I was transferred to another tech who told me see how it works tomorrow now. He said he'd call me at 2pm to see if any drops that day. I recorded drops at 8am and again around 9:30. Then when he tried to call me, internet dropped again and the call went t9 voicemail instead after 1 ring. He left a message saying he assumes all good but call back if issues and here's 800 number. So no way to get him personally without going through the whole process again. I'm done and calling comcast to set up fiber optics. I live near Phoenix and was happy knowing T-Mobile home internet was available for my address since they were rolling it out to limited areas only. suspectthey've now accepted more customers than their service can accommodate especially after reading all the negative messages about the service on this site.1.3KViews6likes9ComentariosAnyboday that has t-mobile Home internet, have slow download speed slow but fast upload speed?
I have had t-mobiles home internet service for about 2 months now. The first two weeks I was getting decent upload and download speed. After those 2 weeks it's been up and down. There are days where I get 1 upload and 7 download and days where I get 35 upload and 40 download speeds. Either way the download speed is very bad. I have VERY GOOD connection quality (4 bars) and a 5g tower close to my house. I don't understand why I'm getting such slow speeds. Anybody have this issue?869Visto0likes2Comentarios
