Re: why is the internet down?
@MikeGebhard, a few questions first to understand your setup. Do you have a wifi router that is attached to your TM gateway, or do devices connect directly to your gateway? If they attach directly to your gateway, do you see your SSID (my home internet) wifi network on your devices like phones, tablets and TVs? You should be able to configure your gateway and then restart it and then go to your devices and see your gateway network/SSID name to connect. As for your last question, you can always call the TM customer support line at 1-800-937-8997.15Visto0likes0ComentariosRe: Creating a new network
@BKA75you need to download and. Log into the T-Life app. From the Home Screen scroll down to "Connect" and you should see your gateway > tap it and swipe to the left to see "Add Network." Tap the + and add a 2.4Ghz network (Not Automatic), as most people have difficulty connecting to printers unless you have a 2.4Ghz SSID; use WPA/WPA2 security to allow for a easy connection for the printer. I hope this helps.20Visto1like0ComentariosRe: new internet user
@jackharr, welcome to the world of streaming. You will either need to subscribe to YouTube TV, download apps like Paramount+ and PeacockTV, and/or purchase a digital TV device like HDHomerun. This device uses an external antenna to collect channels and then plugs into your home network, allowing you to stream over-the-air channels.25Visto0likes0ComentariosRe: T-10 Pro Resideo/honeywell Thermostat
@Roudy2mom, You need to add a second, 2.4 GHz network with reduced security. Some devices cannot connect tothe gateway's default network. If you want to leave this network alone, add a second network with the+sign at the bottom of the Network tab in the T-Mobile Internet app. For this new network, set the band to 2.4 GHz and set the WPA version to WPA/WPA2. Try connecting your deviceto this second network. Use the default network for your other devices, as much as possible. Here are the T-Mobile support instructions for how to add the second network with the app. AndroidHow to create additional Wi-Fi networks | App T-Mobile Internet | Android | T-Mobile Support iOSHow to create additional Wi-Fi networks | App T-Mobile Internet | iOS | T-Mobile Support Let us know if this helps.13Visto0likes0ComentariosRe: T-Mobile router app on PC
@drqaz, there is a 3rd party app that allows the user to see the cell data metrics and turn on/off the SSID. You may want to turn off the stock SSIDif you have a wifi router that provides SSIDs to your local devices. Here is a video on the HINT Control:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v5YJsRBDLss Remember, you can change device names on the devices themselves, but not through the freedom to personalize your network settings in the TM gateway. This gives you. Generally, you can assign static IPs to devices on the devices (on my firewall and media server, I assigned static IPs because I don't want the IP to change). T-Life is the "new" TM app. I still like the TM Internet app because it's easy to read. I hope this helps.34Visto0likes0Comentarios
